Apparently our fickle Celebrity Romance Overlords can manage only one Cyrus engagement at a time.

Hot on the heels of news Miley and her "Last Song" co-star Liam Hemsworth were headed to the altar comes word that bro Trace and his fiancee, "Social Network" actress Brenda Song, have called off their nuptials.

"Brenda and I have decided to go our separate ways," Trace said in a statement to Just Jared Jr. "We split up a couple of months ago. We will continue to focus on our careers. I wish Brenda the best and much success in the future. I hope everyone can respect our privacy about this situation. Thanks so much."

Miley Cyrus and Liam HemsworthIf you're a fan of "The Hunger Games," you know that one of the more enduring mysteries of the literary trilogy is the romantic fate of Gale—the one-time crush of Katniss with whom (SPOILER ALERT!) she eventually declines to settle down, because life is too short to spend with a brooding and murderous guy who doesn't bake. But whatever becomes of Gale the Character, at least we know that the actor who plays him is getting a nice, sparkly, happily-ever-after with the girl of his dreams!

Yep, it's true: People has an exclusive confirmation this morning that Liam Hemsworth is now engaged to longtime girlfriend Miley Cyrus, who began dating back in 2009 when they starred together in "The Last Song." And while Miley isn't a contender for a part in "Catching Fire," she is marrying into the franchise...and what better way to show her commitment to Liam than with a Panem Perfect wedding? No, really! It has to happen! We've already planned it! And just look at all our marvelous ideas for...

You might want to grab a box of tissues, Crushers. Matt Lanter is officially engaged. He might portray a bad boy on "90210" with more notches in his bedpost than we can count on one hand, but in reality he's quite the romantic.

E! Online reports the 29-year-old actor proposed to longtime girlfriend Angela Stacy while they were on vacation—in Paris! Comme c'est mignon! (According to Google, that means "how cute!" in French. Hopefully.) Angela of course said yes, and how could she not? Matt popped the question with a 4.2-carat diamond on a diamond band. Talk about a bling ring!

A friend of the couple told E! News, "They are perfect for each other." Sigh.

It turns out Channing Tatum had it right when he said that "Breaking Dawn" was going to take home the MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss, but we know at least one person who was voting for him. When MTV News caught up with Channing and his wife—and "Step Up" costar!—Jenna Dewan, she was more than happy to tout his smooching skills.

"I think he should totally win! He should totally win," she said after Channing repeatedly said, "I'm not gonna win."

"I don't know, 'The Hunger Games,' they might have a little of an edge, but you never know. He's the best kisser. He's the best kiss-er, though."

Spring is in full swing and that means love is blooming along with all the flowers. Don’t believe us? Just ask Keira Knightley—she's getting married! Her publicist confirmed today (via the AP) that she's engaged to James Righton, a keyboard player for the indie rock band Klaxons.

While the couple isn't planning on releasing details about the engagement, we hope she was wearing a dress that allowed her to breathe during the proposal. We wouldn't want her falling into the ocean like her "Pirates of the Caribbean" character and almost drowning! Speaking of, do you think Johnny Depp is invited to the wedding?

Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with staff members. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.

Team Jacob loyalists might have had to give up the ghost on their preferred "Twilight" pairing, but die-hard fans of everyone's favorite shirtless shapeshifter might be interested to hear about his latest real-life hookup: Taylor Lautner was spotted on Monday having a dinner out with one-time girlfriend Sara Hicks, leading gossips to speculate that the two are back on track for romance. The pair has been seen hanging out in and around L.A. since January, with various sources confirming that they've been spending more time together in what may be a rekindling of their earlier relationship.

Sara, an NBA cheerleader, was Taylor's high school sweetheart before the star found fame in "The Twilight Saga"—and neither of them looked worried about being photographed as they exited the restaurant where they dined on Monday night. Which, according to the rules of both Hollywood and your average high school cafeteria, means that they are OMG TOTALLY DATING. (Or they're just platonic pals who enjoy each other's company and the same kind of food, but whatever, let's just spread rumors first and ask questions later.)

Sad truth: Movie stars aren't always as smooth in real life as the characters they portray on screen. Take Ryan Gosling in "Drive," for example. It's not like he actually wanders the city streets saving damsels in distress. I mean...uh...right? Anyway, when we caught up with "The Lucky One" stars Taylor Schilling and Zac Efron in anticipation of their romantic drama's release, we were curious as to whether Zac could recall any Nicholas Sparks-worthy moments of his own.

"I'm sure I've said some of those lines," Zac admitted. "They're probably worse—not as good as the ones he's [Sparks] written, but they were excellent in the moment."
