Bella ThorneBella Thorne certainly isn't having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad year. Though her Disney series "Shake It Up!" is ending its three-season run, the 16-year-old actress is landing film role after film role. The latest, per The Hollywood Reporter, is a part in the big-screen adaptation of Judith Viorst's classic picture book "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day."

ElusionOur must-read, must-watch list just keeps getting bigger—really, it's becoming downright unwieldy! But nevertheless, we've gotta cram one more item on there: the exciting sci-fi novel "Elusion," which is such a hot prospect that it's already bound for Hollywood even though the book isn't out until March.

According to Deadline, the book by Claudia Gabel and Cheryl Klam has been picked up for a movie adaptation by Silver Reel and FlynnPictureCo.

Following in the footsteps of mind-bending thrillers like "Inception," "Strange Days" and "Total Recall," "Elusion" is a story that takes place in one of the weirdest, wildest, most potentially horrifying settings possible: inside the HUMAN BRAIN. In it, two teenagers discover that their favorite game—an alternate reality journey that uses hypnosis to transport players into another, inner universe—is anything but a harmless leisure activity. Ah yes: because it's all fun and games, until somebody loses their mind.

Sigourney WeaverEven though we've got another month yet before "Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" has its big theatrical release, it's already full steam ahead for the cast and crew on the sequel, "City of Ashes"—and that, my little leather-clad demon-slaying fanfolk, means casting news. What's the rumor? Oh, just that Hollywood grande dame Sigourney Weaver is on the verge of signing on for a major role in movie No. 2, according to an exclusive scoop from The Hollywood Reporter.

Per the report, Sigourney is eyeing a major role within the league of Shadowhunters: a ruthless leader of the demon-killers' organization whose only desire is vengeance on the man who killed her son. (The official dish doesn't name her character, but fans on the internet are already abuzz with the suggestion that she must be in talks to play Imogen Herondale, also known as the Inquisitor of the Shadowhunters' Clave.)

"Kick-Ass 2" actress Chloe Moretz may just be the busiest teen in Hollywood right now. In addition to her ass kickery in the upcoming superhero sequel (out August 16), she has a bevy of projects in the works, including the big-screen adaptation of Gayle Forman's young-adult novel "If I Stay" and the Kristen Stewart-, Juliette Binoche-starring "Sils Maria." It was the latter that Chloe opened up about to MTV News' Josh Horowitz.

"'Sils Maria,' it's a really cool film," Chloe enthused. "I'm actually starting that really soon. I get to go to Switzerland...and Leipzig in Germany." (We can only assume it's no coincidence Chloe is traveling to the land of Swiss chocolate with "Chocolat" star Juliette. Use that knowledge wisely, girl...)

Nerdfighters: Your beloved Hazel Grace Lancaster is in good hands.

While on the publicity trail for her other upcoming young-adult adaptation, "The Spectacular Now" (which co-stars her "Divergent" cast mate Miles Teller), Shailene Woodley opened up to MTV News about the process of landing the lead in "The Fault in Our Stars." And let's just say there wasn't much she wouldn't have done to support this story.

"Oh my god. Oh, god, it's so good. It's so good," Shailene said dreamily. "I read the script a year ago and basically said no matter what I have to do, I will do anything to be in this movie, even if I audition for Hazel and they're like, 'No, you're not her,' I just really want to be an extra because I'm so passionate about it. So I read the book and fought really, really hard for it. And, finally, when they cast the director, I auditioned for him, and I guess he liked what I did because I got it."

Of course, Hazel is only one-half of the adorable couple dreamed up by author John Green, and that's when the search for fellow cancer patient Augustus Waters began, ultimately leading to another of Shailene's "Divergent" co-stars (Ansel Elgort) landing the role.

This morning, MTV had the special opportunity—nay, the privilege!—to debut the very first and EXCLUSIVE trailer for "Romeo & Juliet", the most recent big-screen reboot of the classic Shakespearean tragedy. And you'll want to waste no time in getting your peepers on it, because ooooooh, the costumes and sets are sumptuous, and ahhhhhh,
Douglas Booth
has a mouth like a piece of ripe pink fruit, and HEY! That's Sergeant Brody, from "Homeland," playing Juliet's angry dad! Oh man, this is gonna be so great.

The film stars Douglas and Hailee Steinfeld as the titular couple, and the trailer teases many of the moments that those who've read the play (in other words, everybody) are longing to see on screen. The masquerade ball where the pair meet for the first time, the confrontation between Romeo and Mercutio that ends in bloodshed, Juliet on her balcony (also offering a primo look at just how gorgeous this entire film is going to be), and plenty of passionate, yearning exchanges between the two young lovers—not to mention a last-minute clutch appearance of the "happy" dagger that's going to find its tragic home in a certain person's bosom.

Bella ThorneBecause every young actress is required by law to take at least one role in which she's hunted through a dark house by ghosts, beasts and/or deranged strangers wearing plastic masks, it should come as no surprise that Bella Thorne has added one such thriller to her roster of projects: According to Deadline, the teen star is set to get scream-queeny in a home invasion flick titled, appropriately, "Home Invasion."

The movie will be a new entry into the ever-popular oeuvre that already includes fave horror films like "The Strangers" and "Them", and features Bella as the daughter of a family imprisoned in their home by unknown assailants, who "play a life-and-death game in which the mysterious rules become clear as the night unfolds."
