Any Shadowhunter worth his black would never be caught dead using a stunt double while destroying dastardly demons, and so it was that the actors portraying badass Nephilim in the big-screen adaptation of Cassandra Clare's "Mortal Instruments" underwent weeks of grueling training to pull off all those jumps, kicks and flips.

When we caught up with star Kevin Zegers recently at WonderCon, he explained the process of getting into top physical condition to portray Alec Lightwood.

"I think I showed up about four weeks before we started, and it went through filming, so then on lunch break we would go and rehearse the fight sequences," he said of the rigorous preparation. "[Director] Harald [Zwart] wanted us to do our own stuff, which I think when you watch the movie you can tell. It's sort of great, and you can see that it's us, and it's violence and just as, like, a guy, I saw the new trailer and it looks awesome. It looks like a big action movie, also obviously, the love story and everything are going on and the fantasy stuff. The action stuff looks awesome."

Chloe MoretzFrom wearing a blood-splattered prom dress in "Carrie" to kicking ass in the "Kick-Ass" films, Chloë Grace Moretz is everywhere these days—including on the cover of the May issue of Nylon, where she's looking very spiffy indeed. And in an interview, the actress has offered up some interesting insights into the whys and hows behind her work.

For starters, there's a good reason why you'll only see Chloë on the big screen: She doesn't want you to feel too close to her.

"The thing with TV is, people almost see you as a family member. You're in their house every week, and you're young and innocent," she explained. "But if you're 19 or 20, playing 15, and trying to transition into your sexuality, people are going to be like, 'No, no, you're my younger sister!' Whereas for an actor in movies, there's a distance. They have to travel to the theater to see you."

Shailene WoodleyShailene Woodley is proving just how Dauntless she can be in a first look at "Divergent," courtesy of Entertainment Weekly.

Citizens are tested as teens to determine where they fit, but when Beatrice "Tris" Prior (Shailene) receives a "divergent" result (meaning she doesn't fit squarely into any faction), she leaves the safety of her Abnegation home and joins up with the brave Dauntless. (Explaining the knives in the image, which are part of the initiation process for the fearless faction.)

Emma WatsonThe internet being what it is, we give it...oh, another five seconds, tops, before someone has created an amazing gifset of Emma Watson's deadpan delivery of "The Bling Ring" trailer's most iconic line: "I want to rob."

Seriously, it's fabulous. But in the meantime, you can still enjoy Emma's blithe bad-girl moment just as the producers intended: by watching the trailer itself on a continuous loop all morning long! (That is what we're supposed to be doing, right?) The new look at Sofia Coppola's film about a group of wily teenage thieves is out now (via Yahoo!), trading in the flashy montage of the first teaser trailer for some slightly more detailed delving into the characters' motivations and the movie's main plot.

Alex PettyferThe big-screen adaptation of E.L. James' naughty novel "Fifty Shades of Grey" has whipped up plenty of bogus speculation since it was optioned last year: Angelina Jolie directing! Emma Watson as Ana! Jonah Hill as...Christian!? But the latest rumor swirling around the blogosphere has got to be the best yet.

According to The Wrap, director Gus Van Sant ("Good Will Hunting") shot a sample sex scene, starring Alex Pettyfer as Christian Grey, in a bid to helm the highly anticipated S&M tale. No word on who filled the shoes of Christian's naive paramour Anastasia Steele, though sources did tell the site the scene in question was Ana losing her virginity to Christian.

The report caused quite a stir (and a lot of head scratching) in the MTV Newsroom. So much so, in fact, that we compiled a list of our top 10 questions regarding the rumor.

Ashley Tisdale is ready for the world to end. And, if it has to happen, at least she’s in interesting company. The singer/actress will join Nicolas Cage in the dystopian drama “Left Behind.” And while fans are used to her making them chuckle, this project will show her stretching another kind of acting muscle.

"I’m super-excited to be doing a movie called 'Left Behind' with Nicolas Cage. I play his daughter, and it’s a drama, so it’s completely different from this,” she said, comparing it to her current role in the comedy “Scary Movie 5.”

When it comes to casting a major Hollywood production, standard operating procedure is to secure a lead first, then build a supporting cast around him or her. So it seemed curious that for the big-screen adaptation of James Dashner's "The Maze Runner," everyone but the protagonist was being announced. And now, that's been remedied. Meet your Thomas: "Teen Wolf" actor Dylan O'Brien.

"The Maze Runner"—another dark dystopian—follows Thomas as he awakens in an elevator with no memories of his previous life. The lift dumps him in "the Glade," where a group of teenage boys live, penned in by walls and a surrounding maze. Already set to run the cinematic labyrinth: Will Poulter, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Aml Ameen and Kaya Scodelario.
