OMG! Finally! One of the greatest mysteries of our time has been solved. No, I'm not talking about the maker of Robert Pattinson's hair pomade. This is important stuff: Why, exactly, John Mayer quit Twitter. In a blog post written Monday (which seems to have been taken down since), the crooner outlined his reasons for leaving the social networking site (and used many more than 140 characters to do so).

"It occurred to me that since the invocation of Twitter, nobody who has participated in it has created any lasting art. And yes! Yours truly is included in that roundup as well," he wrote. He went on to point out that great writers like Tina Fey and Aaron Sorkin don't use sites like Facebook and Twitter, and how their work speaks for itself. Though we're not sure his logic is sound (isn't verbally vomiting all of your thoughts onto a blog kinda the same thing?), we'll let it go for now. But his rant did get us thinking about all the celebs who have recently said ta-ta to Twitter. Whose account do you miss the most? Weigh in after the jump, and if we missed one of your favorite Twitter quitters, make sure to tell us in the comments section. (For what it's worth, we're not including celebs who quit then rejoined, like Demi Lovato.)

Judging by its boffo box office, it's pretty fair to assume many of you saw David Fincher's instant classic "The Social Network," over the weekend. And while many will (and have) praised its peppy writing (we're looking at you, Aaron Sorkin), its thoughtful direction and multi-layered messages, we're not too ashamed to admit our main response was: Yowzers, there are a TON of hot guys in this movie. I, mean, seriously. Some, we've poked before, like last week's Hump Day Hottie Justin Timberlake or "Zombieland" star Jesse Eisenberg, but others we're just now friending, like the adorable Andrew Garfield (okay, he's also been a HDH but that was a while ago...) and that tall drink of water Armie Hammer (whose name always reminds me of baking soda...). Anyway, much like FaceMash, we're asking you to pit this quartet of hotness against one another. Who is the hottest? Weigh in with your vote after the jump!

"The Social Network" is sure to be a major launching pad for its main actors...if any of them actually needed launching. There are some definite Oscar nods in the future for Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield's performances in this film, and potentially even for Justin Timberlake and Armie Hammer (we'll see how that campaign of Columbia's plays out). Though more high-profile roles seem to be a given for these stars, they already have some pretty exciting films in the works right now. Andrew is, of course, the lead in the upcoming revamp of "Spider-Man" and Rooney Mara was cast by "The Social Network" director David Fincher again (probably since she got so little screentime in this flick but did so much with it) in "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo." Justin has two big pictures coming out—"Friends With Benefits" and "I'm.mortal"—while Jesse is reteaming with "Zombieland" director Ruben Fleischer for the action comedy "30 Minutes or Less." Click on after the jump to share which of these upcoming films you are most excited to see!

Robert Pattinson was spotted recently sporting an epically untamed, Joaquin Phoenix-like beard. We're not sure of its purpose—the world's worst disguise (nothing could mask those telltale pretty peepers!), practicing his Brad Pitt impression—but needless to say, we are unimpressed.

Why mar your baby face with a bushy beard, RPattz? Nothing should hide that perfect, strong jawline. It looks out of place on you, too. It's like the makeup department of your latest film got a little crazy in the trailer one morning and spirit gummed a whole bunch of facial hair on your cheeks.

Luckily, unless Bill Condon is planning a dramatically different version of Edward Cullen for "Breaking Dawn," the beard will be shaved soon enough—the movie starts shooting in October sometime. But, in the meantime, we think this is a failed experiment.

As style icon Tim Gunn might say, that beard is "a whole lotta look." That magical forest of dirty hair on top of RPattz's head does not need a competitor on his face, so we hope he takes a razor—or a weed whacker, whatever works—to the facial hair soon. What do you think about his new look? Vote in our poll after the jump!

For those of us raised on *NSYNC-Britney Spears-era "TRL," it's hard not to secretly dream about Justin Timberlake and Brit-Brit making beautiful music together—even after nearly a decade (and a KFed). Which is why as Britney (and Brittany) drive us crazy on tonight's "Glee," we'll be pining for a cameo by the former frosted-tipped boy bander. "Glee" star Lea Michele, herself, told us earlier this year that she's jonesing for an appearance by Mr. Timberlake, giving us a modicum of hope that the actor-singer will someday appear on the FOX musical series. Well, now it seems, Ms. Michele may be throwing her support behind a different Justin—one of the Bieber variety. That's right! Lea told E! Online that she thinks Justin Bieber would do an "awesome" job on "Glee." Which got us thinking: If we had to pick just ONE Justin to guest-star on "Glee," which would we chose? Cast your vote after the jump!

Katy PerryWe haven't given much thought to "Sesame Street" since we watched it as kids on our old-school televisions (round and boxy, who knew?!), but the show is having a serious moment, thanks in large part to that Katy Perry fashion fiasco last week (which she hilariously spoofed on "Saturday Night Live" over the weekend). Add to that a clever "True Blood" parody ("True Mud") and Jimmy Kimmel's guidified take, "Sesame Shore," and Big Bird and Co. are making us laugh like a bunch of ankle-biting pre-schoolers. If you haven't seen all three videos, check them out after the jump, then vote for which "Sesame Street"-themed clip is your favorite.

It's Britney, bitch. And Brittany. Next week's "Glee," featuring the music of Britney Spears, stands a chance to be even more epic than last season's Madonna tribute episode. Really. And after Tuesday night's episode teaser and this audio leak on YouTube, we have a good idea of the Britney ditties New Directions will tackle. The preliminary list includes "...Baby One More Time," "I'm a Slave 4 U," "Toxic," "Stronger" and "Me Against the Music." All classic Britney tunes, for sure, though we can only hope "Oops...I Did It Again" will also make the final playlist. And while some will likely disagree with me, I'm glad New Directions (at least by all indications) isn't dipping into Circus material. The strength and nostalgia-factor of Britney's earlier works well outweigh the timeliness of her newer hits. That being said, it's time to weigh in and tell us which song you're most psyched to hear get New Directions-ified. Cast your vote after the jump and make sure to comment if your fave Britney tune is not included on this list.

As you've likely heard, the country's favorite singing competition series "American Idol" has finally announced who will take over Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres' vacant judges seats and empty beverage-company-sponsored tumblers (hopefully they'll be washed first!). During a live webcast, Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler and Jennifer "Jenny from the Block" Lopez were named to the judges panel along with incumbent Randy Jackson.

Rumors had been circulating for weeks that Steven and Jennifer would be the chosen ones to trade one-liners with host Ryan Seacrest when the series returns next year for its 10th season. Now that it's official, though, it's time to weigh in with your thoughts.

Both artists have compelling musical chops to support their appointments. Steven has been rocking and rolling for 40 years with his band Aerosmith. He was named one of Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Singers and is a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. And did we mention that epic collab with *NSYNC and Britney Spears at Super Bowl XXXV? That alone...

For her part, Mrs. Marc Anthony has sold more than 55 million records, and I'm sure you'll agree that as both an actress and singer, she knows a thing or two about performing. But those are just our thoughts. Let us know what you think about the new judges after the jump!

Our congratulations go out to "Eclipse" star Jodelle Ferland, who is the latest "Twilight Saga" star to land herself a nice meaty role in a non-"Twilight" film. Jodelle, however, is sticking pretty close to her horror roots (she was also in "Silent Hill") in the upcoming flick "The Tall Man," which casts her alongside Jessica Biel. Bloody Disgusting is calling the movie a "suspenseful thriller in the vein of the early films of M. Night Shyamalan."

Her newest role got us thinking about all the other upcoming projects our other favorite "Twilight" stars have lined up, and we were hard pressed to choose which one we are most excited for. After all, the films range from such exciting fare as "On The Road" to "Live With It" to "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1"! So that's why we're letting you do the choosing for us. Cast your vote after the jump for which movie starring a "Twilight" actor you're most excited to see.
