Great minds tend to think alike, and it seems everyone has been awed over the way Stephenie Meyer's massively popular vampire saga has saved the town of Forks, Wash. where she chose to set her books.

MTV News has been following the progress of the documentary "Twilight in Forks," from its early stages and now through the DVD's release on March 20, but now we have some more exclusive news that the creators have made an Apple app to go along with their documentary.

Kim KardashianBy Tina Warren

Everyone can put down the pitch-forks and torches! In Kim Kardashian’s blog, she is addressing claims that she is abusive to animals. If you’re wondering where these allegations are coming from, then you probably haven’t been on Kim’s Twitter page lately.

On April 18, Kim tweeted, “Pic from my shoot yesterday...good kitty cat!” with a link to a twitpic of her all dolled up and holding a black kitten by the skin of its neck, similarly to how a mother cat would. A seemingly innocent enough photo to Kardashian, but not to many of her followers, who didn’t hold back in their distaste for it.

“Glee” fans have yet another reason to get excited, and this one has nothing to do with the series being back on-air. As of last week (April 15), Gleeks can now get their “Glee” on with Smule’s brand spanking new app designed for the iPhone and iPad. The nationwide casting call for season two is underway, but if you find your audition tape isn’t generating the kind of heat you expected, don’t fret. You can star in your own version of the show on your PDA!

The response to Smule’s new application has been favorable. The app already boasts a well-deserved 4+ rating at the iTunes store, which means fans all around the world — including myself, for several hours today — are singing their hearts out. If you think you’re not cut out for karaoke, think again; as long as you can belt out the words, the technology will correct your pitch and enhance your voice to make you sound like Finn, Rachel, Artie, Kurt, Puck, Mercedes, Tina or Quinn!

Alright everyone, calm down. Kim Kardashian did not kill her dog — and if you believed that rumor for even a second then you clearly do not know her (OK, so neither do we, but we watch "Keeping Up With the Kardashian's" and we're convinced she's not the type to hurt an furry creature)!

Kim took to her Twitter account this morning to dispel nasty rumors that she had hurt her dog Rocky, a boxer.

"There is some crazy rumor that I killed my dog. What a hurtful rumor! I would NEVER dare hurt my baby Rocky or any other animal!!!" she posted.

Rumors have been swirling for months that The CW's quickly canceled series "The Beautiful Life: TBL" would somehow walk the runway again, most likely during the network's quiet summer season. But according to Reuters, creator Ashton Kutcher has decide to resurrect the series online.

Only two episodes of the model drama aired before the network pulled the plug in September. Ashton has three additional episodes in the can and is planning to upload all five to YouTube, with the first three going up today and the remaining two premiering December 21.

When you attain the kind of world-wide fame "Twilight" young stars are experiencing, you start to hear a lot of weird rumors about yourself—including ones that are physically impossible. When MTV News caught up with star Robert Pattinson at a Beverly Hills press event (we'll be rolling out tons from it in the coming week, so stay tuned!!), the 23-year-old detailed the craziest tidbit he recently stumbled upon while googling himself.

"I like the story about me being pregnant," the British heartthrob said with a laugh. "It was in some Australian magazine, on the front page! I was like, 'Wow, that's just [insane]. And it's not even ironic. I don't even think the article [tried to justify it]; it was just a headline. The article was just like, nothing."

After six weeks of waiting, the "Valemont" secret is finally out. In the words of Eric (warning: this is a pretty major SPOILER if you haven't been paying attention), "They're vampires, all of them. Vampires." It always seems to be vampires these days. Of course, the vampires at Valemont University "aren't your storybook vampires," star Kristin Hager, who plays Sophie, told Hollywood Crush a couple of weeks ago. "They're sort of like a new breed of vampires."

Just like "Twilight," "True Blood," and "The Vampire Diaries," the "Valemont" vamps have their own mythology, Kristin said. "They can be out in the sun; there's no turning to ash. They don't have to drink human blood. They do have to drink blood, but it doesn't have to be human blood. They don't all have fangs — if you drink human blood, you have fangs, and if you drink animal blood, you don't have fangs."

If you've been watching "Valemont" as faithfully as we have, you know that creepy occurrences happen at the fictional university twice every Tuesday night — once before "The Hills" and once after "The City." Things have been getting stranger and stranger as freshman Sophie's (Kristin Hager, pictured below, left) been uncovering more and more clues in her quest to figure out what happened to her brother, and we have a feeling things might come to a head in tonight's episodes. "Valemont" costar Nikki Blonsky chatted with Hollywood Crush recently, but she would only give us the tiniest of hints about what's going to happen (and you'll have to wait until the end of the blog for that).

The 20-year-old "Hairspray" star plays Sophie's high-energy roommate, Poppy, who last week helped Sophie steal Sebastian's (Dillon Casey) key to the secretive Panthera house. In real life, Nikki said she's not nearly as perky as her "Valemont" character.

It's been an interesting year for "Hannah Montana" star Miley Cyrus. In February, the 16-year-old was sued for "racist" photos that depicted the teen star slanting her eyes, mocking Asians. She raised eyebrows again in August when she performed a pseudo-pole dance atop an ice cream cart at the Teen Choice Awards. Then there was that time she quit Twitter. It's hard to believe these crazy happenings didn't play a role in her latest dubious distinction: being voted "Worst Celebrity Influence of 2009" by AOL's JSYK.com (Just So You Know) website.

Miley beat out second place-finisher Britney Spears (who admittedly had a fairly respectable 2009) and Kanye "I'm going to let you finish" West, who came in third. In an interesting twist, Miley also walloped fellow Disney princess Vanessa Hudgens in the poll, even though the Wildcat has had not one, but two naked photo controversies of late. Funny what tween/teens will forgive, huh? Where is Chris Brown on this list?

Last week we heard from Kristin Hager, who plays Sophie on MTV's newest Tuesday night series, "Valemont." This week, Hollywood Crush caught up with another coed, Eric Balfour, who plays Sophie's older brother (uh, also named Eric) on the supernatural drama. Eric called us from his Texas hotel room, where he's staying while shooting a western, to give us the scoop on his "Valemont" character, dealing with a new model of television, and what to expect in upcoming episodes.

As "Valemont" followers will know, Sophie is using Eric's cell phone, which is full of mysterious videos and text messages, to figure out the circumstances behind his mysterious death. Eric the actor described Eric the character as "a guy who is sort of always been in and out of trouble. When the opportunity arises to go to Valemont University and maybe discover some of the truth behind his own family's legacy and maybe his own family horror, he goes for it. I don't want to say too much!"
