If you love guilt-watch television and beautiful people, this morning's CW Upfront was the place to be: an earlybird sneak peek at all the shows that the channel has lined up in its shapely can. Today's event included details about the upcoming season of "The Vampire Diaries," along with exciting newcomers like spin-off "The Originals" and "The Tomorrow People"—and, of course, a chance to ogle all the gorgeous stars as they turned up to promote their work.
Nina Dobrev has been taking the fashion cake at the Upfront for ages, and this year was no exception: The star was a bombshell in a bright blue dress with a lace-and-grommet empire waist. Also winning points for superstar style was AnnaSophia Robb, leading lady of "The Carrie Diaries," in a peekaboo dress with competing pinstripes that her character would lurve. And Aimee Teegarden, who's going to be big this year in the new series "Star Crossed," was working it in a shortie jumpsuit with a pointy collar and impressionist print.
Everyone who's anyone in Hollywood is currently in attendance across the pond at the Cannes Film Festival, which means that a) the wires are lighting up all day long with breezy, beautiful shots of various celebs chilling in the south of France, and b) we've spent all morning trying to make ourselves feel better about not being among them by eating an entire jar of Nutella whilst wearing a beret. (Except, ugh, it's not working and there's Nutella everywhere.) But we're still psyched to see this set of pics featuring the cast of "The Bling Ring," which is making a splash at the festival this year as the opening film in Un Certain Regard!
Emma Watson, Taissa Farmiga, and the other fresh young things from Sofia Coppola's latest were out and about for a photocall earlier today, all looking très chic indeed.
Emma was a stunner in a luxe burgundy dress with funky fringey details down the skirt and at the waist, while co-star Claire Jullen went for a summery vibe in white crochet. And throwing down for menswear was Israel Broussard, who adventurously layered up in a baby blue suit, space-dyed sweater and aqua dress shirt. The only look we aren't crazy about: Taissa's white dress, with its black sash and long mesh sleeves. Not that there's anything wrong with it, exactly, but we know from recent experience that she can do so much better.
Before you flee your cubicle and fall into the comforting embrace of a Happy Hour cocktail, we'd like to turn your attention to something just as intoxicating: a slew of brand new images from the upcoming sixth season of "True Blood."
HBO released nearly two dozen stills from its titillating vampire drama, and if we had to take a guess, this season could be the bloodiest one yet—what with Billith on the loose and a war brewing between the fangs and the fang-nots. But, you'll have to wait until the June 19 premiere to know just how much of the viscous red stuff will be shed. In the meantime, feast your eyes on a collection of images curated for maximum enjoyment by your best gal pals at Hollywood Crush.
Here's Viking vampire Eric Northman all bloody.
The big-screen adaptation of James Dashner's dystopian drama "The Maze Runner" has been a long time coming (you'll recall the novel was optioned, like, three years ago), so we wouldn't blame you for taking an "I'll believe it when I see it" approach to the film. With that in mind, we have just one thing to say to you: see!
On Friday, actor Will Poulter (who plays Gally), took to Twitter to share an image of he and co-star Dylan O'Brien (who plays Thomas) sparring during a round of fight training.
"Me and @dylanobrien in wrestling practice. #OutOfOurDepth #WeJustWannaHug" he wrote. Earlier in the day, he tweeted: "Wicked day. Had a great read through with the whole cast and stunt training all afternoon! Gladers are now in the gym!"
After so many months of waiting and hoping and aching for "The Great Gatsby" to be released at last, we had entered a state of impatient longing not entirely unlike that of the titular character...but with a much happier outcome, fortunately, as the film finally premiered last night in New York City, and it was lovely! (Also, nobody was cheated on, run over or shot, which is always nice.)
The premiere was a major party attended by all the film's stars and then some—all sporting decidedly modern looks in comparison to the jazz-age fashions featured onscreen.
Nina Dobrev, who isn't in the movie, wore the most deco getup of the night with a black-and-gold sheath dress that mirrored the metalwork design featured in all of the "Gatsby" promotional materials; Carey Mulligan was stunning in a red strapless dress and sleek hair; and Isla Fisher covered up in a floral-print, three-quarter sleeved dress that faded to (semi-sheer) black as it reached her feet.
Hilary Duff is getting her selfie on during her upcoming cameo on "Two and a Half Men." The actress is set to appear on the hit CBS sitcom on May 9, and fans are getting an early look at her appearance.
In a new still from the episode, Hilary, clad in a low-cut pink number, is out to dinner with Ashton Kutcher’s Walden. Walden looks on as Hilary's Stacey snaps a shot of herself making a weird face, which we assume she thinks looks sexy. (We've been around the Instagram block a time or two...)
Shailene Woodley is proving just how Dauntless she can be in a first look at "Divergent," courtesy of Entertainment Weekly.
Based on the best-selling dystopian drama by Veronica Roth, "Divergent" takes place in a near-future Chicago, where society has been divided into five factions, each upholding a different virtue. Citizens are tested as teens to determine where they fit, but when Beatrice "Tris" Prior (Shailene) receives a "divergent" result (meaning she doesn't fit squarely into any faction), she leaves the safety of her Abnegation home and joins up with the brave Dauntless. (Explaining the knives in the image, which are part of the initiation process for the fearless faction.)
Former "American Idol" contestant Jessica Sanchez will make her long-awaited "Glee" debut on Thursday, and we've got your first look!
The 17-year-old looks positively pensive in this still from "Lights Out," which finds the power cut at McKinley High, prompting an "unplugged" session for the glee club.

Psst! Come close. We have something to tell you: We've been naughty girls. You see, the cast of "Pitch Perfect" has been meeting at an undisclosed location here in L.A., practicing for what is sure to be an epic performance at this weekend's MTV Movie Awards. And, well, not only did we suss out this secret warehouse...but we slipped in. And watched. And took photographic evidence. And are posting it on the internet for the entire world to see. Take a look for yourself!
So OK, sure, if you don't have the vision of a wild hawk sporting telephoto lenses, you might not be able to make out all the key players, but suffice it to say, we've caught stars Rebel Wilson, Skylar Astin, Anna Camp, Esther Dean, Alexis Knapp, Hana Mae Lee, Ben Platt and Brittany Snow in all their booty-shaking glory.
