Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas knows a thing or two about pretty presentation, so what better "Vampire Diaries" episode for the pint-sized gymnast to guest star on than one centering around the annual Miss Mystic Falls Pageant?
After a lot of online teasing, including excited tweets from the cast, Gabby will make a cameo on tomorrow night's "My Brother's Keeper," and The CW was winning enough to send over a behind-the-scenes images in which the 16-year-old hams it up with stars Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev!
Keep reading after the jump for a synopsis of the episode and an another sneak peek snap of Gabby on set!
It's not much, but we've finally gotten a little tiny glimpse of the arena from the upcoming "Catching Fire"—and of Katniss and Peeta taking a dip in the dangerous waters of their island paradise. The follow-up film to "The Hunger Games" has been shooting in Hawaii, and a couple pics have finally leaked of Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson in the Quarter Quell arena—an island environment that includes a whole mess of aquatic hazards—getting ready to rumble in their Capitol-issue bathing suits.
Okay, so we're using the term "bathing suits" kind of loosely; these little numbers are definitely more function than fashion...although there is something a little bit sexy about them too, right? And while we can't see much more of the landscape than a pair of platforms surrounded by water, it's pretty exciting to get a sneak peek at the action in store with that shot of Jennifer in mid-dive. Girl's got GAME FACE.
Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with staff members. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.
Warning: This post could make those Thanksgiving leftovers sitting pretty in your tummy turn sour fast. Because here is the guy we're all thankful for (Ryan Gosling, obviously) out for a jaunty Turkey Day stroll in New York with...his lady love Eva Mendes. Didn't he know we reserved a spot for him at the feasting table, nestled in between us and Aunt Bertha? Apparently not! We'll give you a pass just this once, Ryan, since you're Canadian and all. (But don't you dare blow it next year!)
The duo can be seen next (on the big screen, at least) in the crime thriller "The Place Beyond the Pines," set for a limited release on March 29, 2013.
Forget Big Ben, dash Westminster Abbey and screw the royals at Buckingham Palace (er, sorry, Your Majesty, we don't mean that literally.) There was just one show-stopping spectacle in London today, and it was the long-awaited premiere of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2," where all the stars of the franchise's final film took to the red carpet for their across-the-pond premiere! And if you weren't there to see it...well, neither were we, but that's what the professional photogs are for, so shhhhhh.
The fete featured appearances by the three major stars of the film—Kristen Stewart, in another skin-baring look that was all about artfully placed black lace; Taylor Lautner, tie-less and in a shiny slate suit; and Robert Pattinson, who skipped the colorful menswear in favor of basic black—plus a fair few vampire coven members, from the Volturi (Jamie Campbell Bower) to the Amazonian (Judi Shekoni, who was dazzling in a yellow gown). And so it was that Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner put on their prettiest party frocks and walked "The Twilight Saga" black carpet one final time, for last night's premiere of "Breaking Dawn - Part 2" at L.A.'s Nokia Theatre. And, as we've come to expect from the top trio, they did it in fine fashion.
But there was a twist! Surprisingly, the award for most stunning style went not to one of the lovely leading ladies but to dapper hottie Rob, who flaunted an emerald green Gucci suit with the aplomb of someone twice his age. Well done, sir. GF Kristen wasn't to be overlooked, though: She simply sparkled in her strapless, nude Zuhair Murad, which she topped off with soft curls and a blood-red lip. So Old Hollywood glam!
Depending upon how closely you've been keeping tabs on the pulse of the celebrity singles scene, you may have already heard the sad news that Selena Gomez has officially called it quits on her romance with boy-toy Justin Bieber... and okay depending on how big a Belieber you are, you may not agree with us on the "sad" part. (Just take it easy, would-be rebounds; the latest reports from the breakup's frontlines say that Biebs is still looking to woo her back.)
But while we wait for the final word from the gossip mill on whether their relationship is just on a break or actually broke, let's take a look back at the way they were! Just click through for a gallery of pretty little pictures of Selena and Justin from less-troubled times: smooching at a basketball game, canoodling on the red carpet, sharing the stage at the VMAs. Because whether you're heartbroken for their heartbreak, or secretly celebrating the newly single status of one or the other of these crazy kids, you've gotta admit: They made a pretty cute couple.
How many red-carpet premieres can one girl muster in a month? It looks like Kristen Stewart is going for some sort of record. The starlet was out and about in Los Angeles on Saturday night to celebrate her other lit adaptation, "On the Road," with co-stars Garret Hedlund and Amy Adams.
Kristen cut a fine form in a menswear-inspired jumpsuit by—whom else?—Balenciaga, the fashion house whose Florabotanica fragrance she reps. The leading lady finished off her sexy look with minimal accessories, Christian Louboutin heels, a messy updo and blood-red lips.
Of course, Kristen's next high-profile premiere will come November 12 when "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" stalks the red carpet. Meanwhile, "On the Road" will hit theaters in limited release December 21.
My No. 1 question for tonight's MTV First: Breaking Dawn - Part 2? What exactly were Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart supposed to be for Halloween? Like, for serious.
The "Twilight" twosome were spotted at last night's fete inside the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, where they sported a pair of creepy clear masks accented by full, bushy brows. Whatever monstrosities they were dressing as top sparkling vampires on the scary scale by, like, 500 percent.
The Hollywood Forever Cemetery has been a popular stomping ground (metaphorically of course; don't want to be stirrin' up any ghouls!) for La La Land's VIPs leading up to All Hallows' Eve. The site played host to the "Pretty Little Liars" Halloween special premiere a couple of weeks ago.
With Halloween falling inconveniently on a weeknight this year, this past Saturday was the celebratory evening of choice for Halloweenies both famous and non...but since nobody cares about the nons, let's skip 'em and go straight to the gallery of celebrity get-ups, shall we?
From sultry to scary, lots of our Hollywood favorites were out and about this weekend. The best? Probably Emma Roberts, who not only made a very "Pretty Woman" indeed, but gets added points for mining her family history for costume inspiration (the original hooker with a heart of gold is Auntie Julia, you know!). And when it comes to fantasy-friendly outfits—the otherworldly kind, not the dirty kind—it's a tie between Lucy Hale, who was the prettiest my-little-pony in the meadow, and Kim Kardashian, who worked her curves as a super-shapely mermaid in the company of Captain Kanye West. (Although you guys—we're really happy for you, and imma let you finish, but Julianne Hough and Ryan Seacrest had the best couples costume get-up of all time. OF ALL TIME.)
As an adult, Carrie Bradshaw writes for Vogue. As a teen, she just, well, vogues.
The cast of the upcoming CW series "The Carrie Diaries" are striking their best poses in a fresh batch of publicity photos released by the network today, and they couldn't be cuter. From left to right we have: Katie Findlay as Maggie; Brendan Dooling as Walt, Ellen Wong as Mouse, AnnaSophia Robb as Carrie, Austin Butler as Sebastian, and Freema Agyeman as Larissa.
