Okay, so we've loved Lizzy Caplan for years and years—ever since she played the nemesis of Regina George in "Mean Girls" and delivered one of the most quotable smackdowns in recent cinematic history ("I am so sorry Regina. Really, I don't know why I did this. I guess it's probably because I've got a big *lesbian* crush on you! Suck on THAT!"). So when we spied her in the trailer for the sure-to-be-perfect "Bachelorette," a dark comedy starring four of our favorite ladies that's one of the most-anticipated movies this year, we were understandably psyched. But if you've been holding out on adding Lizzy to your list of Hollywood ladycrushes, here's one more reason: She's this week's Style Superstar!

Lizzy's look at the Swiss "Bachelorette" premiere this week was unconventional and stunning—a deep emerald-green dress with a daring plunge at the front, paired with smoky makeup, a simple pendant and intricate leather cage sandals that made a statement of their own. Not only does this dress win points for reminding us in the best possible way of Keira Knightley's evening gown from "Atonement" (and let's be honest, it could win on those grounds alone), but it's a bold choice for an actress who's only just emerging as A-list material, establishing Lizzy as a serious beauty with a bold sense of style on the red carpet. Here's hoping she keeps bringing her fashion game.

Ever since the trailer for "Celeste and Jesse Forever" reduced us to a sobbing, sniveling, ugly-crying crumple on the floor, we've been kinda intentionally holding a grudge against Rashida Jones, who co-wrote and stars in the movie. Why? Because that two-minute preview destroyed us and it has to be somebody's fault! But despite holding her responsible for that emotional devastation, after seeing her out and about at events leading up to the premiere, our resolve started to falter a little, and...and...

And ugh, how can you hate anyone who looks this terrific? The actress showed up to the "Celeste and Jesse" premiere in an outfit that's so glowing and gorgeous, yet accessibly stylish, that she immediately won this week's award for Style Superstar. Her bold Thakoon Resort halter dress and Valentino peep-toe heels made for a perfect, playful combination of color, pattern and texture, with a gleaming gold belt serving as the ultimate statement accessory. Add the bold red lip color and her easy, chic updo and...well, grudge? What grudge? We have no idea what you're talking about.

There was a whole lotta glitz, glam, and gam on display at last Sunday's Teen Choice Awards, with many members of Hollywood's new class sporting identically short and sparkly looks (making us wonder if the pre-show preparation included more than a few phone calls of the "What are you wearing? ME TOO!" variety). But while the prevailing trend at the TCAs might've been cut from the same cloth, not everyone pulled it off with equal panache. Who stunned in sparkles on Sunday night?

Miranda Cosgrove, that's who! Miranda was the clear winner of this week's Style Superstar honors, with a Colette Dinigan dress in a cool, mercury-colored sheen. Her silhouette was a breath of fresh air in a sea of super-tight bodycon, with a blousy drape up top that gives way to a svelte, tiered skirt—and while the ultra-textural fabric is a bold and unusual choice (no doubt she heard a "disco ball" joke or two, although we think it's more like sexy chainmail), Miranda wisely let the dress do the talking, with sleek, simple hair, strappy heels and a clutch that looks like a small, chrome-plated machine. In a fun way.

The ESPY Awards, in which athletes and actors alike come together to honor this year's most outstanding feats of physicality, were this week—and much as we all love a good, tearjerking "Best Comeback" acceptance speech, the real thrill for your local fashion gossips is seeing our favorite lady athletes decked out in something other than sweat-drenched sports bras and grass-stained kneecaps. And this week, it was a star of a different sort who scored our Style Superstar honors! Who's this week's winner?

No doubt about it: Maria Sharapova was absolutely blazing in this crinkly slate blue J. Mendel dress with a keyhole detail, slightly dropped waist, and strategically placed paneling that showed off her amazing legs. Not that we haven't seen Maria look fierce before—particularly when she's schooling one of her opponents in competition—but this is a whole new level of blazing for the tennis star. And with a simple gold cuff and high-styled hair, Maria proved that she's as much a champion on the red carpet as she is on the court.

We love a good haute-couture gown as much as the next blog, but when it comes to award-worthy fashion, a true Style Superstar doesn't need a $10,000 frock and diamonds on loan from Harry Winston to work her magic. She'll strut her stuff in everything from custom-designed Oscar de la Renta to off-the-rack pieces from everyday stores. And in this week's edition, we're putting the spotlight on two great-looking gals whose award-worthy ensembles aren't just super-chic, but accessible to boot! Whose look from Topshop was cream of the crop?

It's Lana Del Rey, whose signature look got a boost from a full-skirted minidress, pointy pumps with a metallic toe cap and a sky-high beehive. The singer was pretty in peach as she performed in London, showing off her legs in this cute dress that's matte up top and mesh below. And the best part? Everything she's wearing, from dress to accessories, came from Topshop—which means that unlike most of the fashion we feature in this space, you could copy this look for yourself without having to sell a kidney for the privilege.

Forget the cheeky intro and opening tease, we're just going to come out and say it: fashionably speaking, Blake Lively has been killing it all week long at the premieres and media appearances for her new movie, "Savages." Our spidey style sense has been tingling off the hook as she debuted one amazing look after another, from a custom Lanvin cocktail dress to a vibrant Michael Kors suit. But it was her outfit at the film's L.A. premiere that hit it out of the park, and made her today's Style Superstar.

Blake was channeling old Hollywood glamour in a big way when she donned this skin-tight Zuhair Murad gown with a nude underslip and a dizzying pattern of intricate beadwork. The sideswept cascade of curls, the red-red lips, the simple gold jewelry; it's all very Veronica Lake, and an interesting choice for the actress who usually favors a more fresh-faced and modern look. She looked confident and classic—and where most ladies, even ones with flawless figures, would risk being overwhelmed by the bold design, Blake was the boss of this daring dress from top to bottom.

When it comes to the shoes that match the dress, color coordination is a red-carpet art—but this week, stars everywhere were strutting their stuff in shoes that gave their outfits a high-contrast kick in the pants. But where one actress' neat feet made us sea-green with envy, another's wild white heels had some fashion critics throwing shade. Who scored Style Superstar honors?

It's Mila Kunis, whose iridescent pumps were the perfect complement to her Dior dress at the "Ted" premiere this week. The teeny star looked typically sultry that night, with smokey eyes, sleek hair and a shimmery black dress with a plunging mesh-overlaid neckline—but her pointy Louboutin pumps in beautiful blue-green lace add some serious oomph to an outfit that was already a winner. Congrats, Mila! (Can we borrow your shoes?)

There's nothing basic about the black-and-white in this week's Style Superstar running! Two lovely ladies starring in two great movies hit up their respective premieres in high-contrast ensembles featuring one of the fashion world's most favorite classic color combos. But where one of these looks combined unexpected elegance with some frisky accents, the other just kinda went...poof. Who's in the spotlight this week?

Emma Stone has probably taken home Style Superstar honors more than any other young Hollywood lady, and there's a reason: Girlfriend can dress like a champ. Her Fendi cocktail dress at the "Amazing Spider-Man" premiere in Seoul, South Korea, was a fun alternative to the flowing gowns that stars often opt to wear for events like these, and the leather epaulets carry the look right over the line from flirty to fierce. Add in some funky shoes (seriously digging the pointed toe and white sole) and a pop of pink on her lips, and Emma has once again claimed Style Superstardom.

We love when A-list stars have movies coming out. Normally reclusive types, like Kristen
Stewart
or Angelina Jolie, suddenly emerge from hiding to hit red carpets in Los Angeles, New York and London, as well as stump on talk shows, at press conferences and other buzz-worthy events. Though not as high-profile or, let’s face it, reclusive as some, dancer/singer/actress/Seacrest-arm-candy Julianne Hough worked her little tail off all week to promote the opening of her movie musical "Rock of Ages." And jeez, did she work it! Julianne’s bright turquoise heels at an NYC "Rock of Ages" screening, black lace cut-out dress at the MTV Movie Awards and an Angelina-worthy thigh-high slit at Spike TV’s Guy’s Choice Awards were all impressive. Keep reading to find out which look has us singing her praises, and which was way off-key.

The CFDA Awards are like the Academy Awards of the fashion world. Most people were focused on the night’s big winners, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, but we couldn’t take our eyes off Ms. Hough. Her stunning lady in red look, courtesy of a beautiful Kaufman Franco gown, stood out for its plunging neckline, flattering fit and minimal accessorizing. Love, love, love it.

We’ve been bestowing our Style Superstar honors for a while now, so for this week’s edition, we decided to switch it up a bit. Yes, we’ll still fill you in on Young Hollywood’s best and worst dressed, but since both ladies are two of our biggest crushes, we wanted to pen them letters of love as we break the big news. Read on to see who showed off some mean style and whose outfit was a little less than what we were expecting.

Dear Taylor,
You’re awesome. In the last few months alone, you sang on Ellen with Zac Efron, wrote some of "The Hunger Games" soundtrack and won two Grammys. We’d wish we could just be jealous and hate you, but when you wear an oh-so-sexy yet remarkably sweet showstopper like this red Elie Saab gown, we simply fall in love with you all over again. You always stay true to who you are even as you’re growing up, and we know that underneath that slicked straight coif is the same old small-town girl we’ve gotten to know through song over the last few years. Congrats on winning Style Superstar, yet again. We can’t wait until your next red carpet event!
XOXO,
Hollywood Crush
