We might be in the depths of mid-winter, but that didn't stop Hollywood's stylish ladies from hiking up their hemlines at various events this week. From premieres to parties to charity events, from New York to L.A., there were lots of lovely legs to be seen walking the red carpet. And this week, we picked two of our favorite leggy looks for Style Superstar consideration.

Keke Palmer busted out this one-strap Guishem minidress for the "Think Like a Man" premiere this week, managing to look collected and classy despite a super-high hemline that would have most ladies doing the Nervous Tugdown all night. And Keke, a veteran sporter of ultra-short skirts, knew better than to go overboard with accessories on such a subtle winner; simple long locks, sleek black shoe, and one big sparkler of a cocktail ring were all that was needed to set off the leather accents at the shoulder and waist. We don't know if this girl can think like a man, but she can certainly dress like a superstar!

As colors go, gray can get a bad rap for being dull and drab. Gray skies? Blah. Gray days? Gloomy. But when it comes to sophisticated style, a mist-colored gown can make for one colorful statement—as demonstrated by a pair of "Glee"-ful girls at the SAG Awards last Sunday. There was nothing grim or ghostly about these gray ladies as they walked the red carpet in two of the evening's most stunning looks. Whose gray glimmer was a cut above the rest of the palette? And whose leggy look cut a little too deep?

Naya Rivera was a stone-cold stunner when she took to the red carpet in this Naeem Kahn gown, winning Style Superstar honors with subtle sparkle, a plunging neckline and a classic silhouette. The almost-lavender gray of the dress is a perfect complement to the warm bronze tones in Naya's skin, and this understated look—with soft waves and only the barest accessories—is sophisticated without being showy.

Lace isn't just for lingerie—as any style-conscious lady who's fond of the versatile fabric can tell you. And this week, a pair of Hollywood's favorite fashionistas showed up on our radar sporting all-over lacy looks that ranged from sweet and sophisticated to seriously sexy. Whose ultra-feminine dress was a perfect complement to her latest romantic role? And who took one major plunge with a scalloped neckline and sheer sleeves? Check 'em out in today's Style Superstar.

Rachel McAdams made for one pretty picture at the photocall for "The Vow," where she scored Style Superstardom in this Colette Dinnigan dress featuring delicate black lace in a creeping damask pattern. The nude-colored underslip is so identical to Rachel's skin tone that it gives casual lookers quite a trompe-l'oeil double take, but the sweet little sleeves and longer hemline keep it lacy, not racy. The only thing more romantic is the movie she's promoting.

After last week's focus on the fashion of the People's Choice Awards, we were psyched to get a fresh batch of photos from yet another awards celebration: this time featuring the gorgeous gals and glam gowns of the Golden Globes. And after Jennifer Lawrence dominated the last Style Superstar honors with her cerulean dress, we couldn't help getting the blues again this week—in a good way! Because one actress' navy number took home the style gold, while another's cobalt cocktail dress left us cold.

Style Superstar Emma Roberts might be a teeny-tiny lady, but she made one big statement at the Golden Globes afterparty in this elegant Zac Posen dress with perfectly placed cutout accents. The cascading ruffles and fan-like seaming made this gown a standout, even by red-carpet standards, and Emma's soft updo goes beautifully with its 1930s vibe. (And man, you should see the back. Meow!)

For the fashion-focused, there's no better time than awards season—when stylish stars of all shapes and sizes emerge in their best, boldest and (sometimes) most delightfully wacky get-ups. And this week, our best and worst dressed conveniently showed up at the very same event! Whose People's Choice outfit was...well, one choice outfit? And whose style statement turned out to be misinformed? Read on, yo.

There was no question this week as to who won the honors for most styling' superstar of all: Jennifer Lawrence showed up to the People's Choice Awards in this Victor and Rolf dress, and it was all over. It's a bold and unusual design—in fact, with those swirling cobalt whorls (which are artfully arranged on the bodice to cover essential ladyspots), it almost looks like it belongs on a District 4 contestant in "The Hunger Games" movie!—but Jennifer is a bold and unusual girl, and she's wearing the hell out of it. And with smoky eyes, sleek hair and minimal jewelry, she's style-savvy enough to let the dress speak for itself. Or, in the words of the ghostly Templar knight from "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade": She chose...wisely.

Sparkles, spangles, sequins and sheen: Hollywood's best-dressed ladies didn't miss the chance to glitter like a disco ball as we rang in the New Year this week. And from metallic fabrics, to sequined clutches, to dresses embellished with big, shiny stones, there was some serious glamour on display. Which shameless dame won Style Superstar gold for her silver-plated look? And whose attention-grabbing embellishments turned out to be one big yawn? Check it!

Emmy Rossum was completely "Shameless" (in a good way!) at her Showtime series' premiere, flaunting a beaded Ralph Lauren sheath that was perfect speakeasy chic. Emmy brought out the bling in full force to complement her 1920s-inspired dress (complete with a Swarovski-encrusted clutch and a vintage diamond bracelet) and polished it off with finger waves and a bold, wine-colored lipstick. And for this, we give her all the awards!

We're already looking forward to cataloging the fashion and finery of next year's most well-dressed celebs—but before we get crazy in 2012, we have to look back on a year of Style Superstars! And today, we're giving top honors to five lovely ladies who really wowed us with their haute couture-itude over the past 12 months.

Emma Stone was a frequent contender for best-dressed all year, but her coral-colored Carven gown was one of our favorite looks of 2011.

Jamie Chung didn't just kick some butt in "Sucker Punch"; she was a knockout on the red carpet at the film's premiere in this Giambattista Valli dress with its gorgeous, golden draping.

With all the outings for the "Twilight" cast this year, it's no surprise that a Cullen family member was one of our most stylish stars! Ashley Greene sported lots of lovely looks during premiere events for "Breaking Dawn," but it was her Ferragamo ensemble at the presentation of the 2012 collection—an out-of-character design for her—that really caught our eye.

Sometimes, the Style Superstar honors we bestow on the fashionable dames of Hollywood come with a wild twist: a starlet who starts out slow on the fashion front, but then comes back the next day with an outfit that's pure perfection. And get ready, 'cause it's one of those weeks! Today, our style MVP is also the week's MIP (that's "most improved player," for the uninitiated), thanks to her fabulous followup to an earlier not-so-great attempt. Who are we talking about?

It's Rooney Mara, of course—who was ubiquitous this week during the multi-continent premiere events for "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo." Rooney has been channeling Lisbeth Salander in a major way with her style choices for the various premieres, sticking strictly with basic black or white and opting for unexpected silhouettes with cut-out accents, echoing the distressed gothic aesthetic of her wardrobe for the film. Call it "Lisbeth Couture"! But at first, it wasn't quite working: at the Stockholm premiere, her Roksanda Illincic jumpsuit was wrinkled, overlarge, and waaaaay too long (although none of this stopped Rooney from donning some gorgeous crimson lipstick and laughing it up adorably with Stellan "Father of Alexander" Skarsgård).

'Tis the season, and this week brought us a bevy of gorgeous celebs who took to the red carpet in some seriously festive frocks. And while there were lots of pretty looks to choose from in the Style Superstar running, there's just nothing that kicks up the holiday spirit like a luscious red dress—which is why this week's honorees are a pair of lovely ladies in red. Whose crimson look is totally crushworthy? And whose lacy look left us wanting just a smidge more bang for our fashion buck? Check it!

Kristin Cavallari was all smiles at the opening event for Rebecca Taylor's new L.A. boutique—and while some might chalk it up to her on-again engagement with boyfriend Jay Cutler, we think it was because of this spectacular dress (also by Rebecca Taylor) in a deep, delicious red. Kristin was looking atypically pale that night (we think it's the lighting), but the color is so lovely on her that it doesn't even matter! And the discreet lace paneling and tiered skirt strike the perfect, flirty note for a romantic holiday. Our gift to her: the Style Superstar title for this week!

Haute couture was out in full force this week as movie premieres and awards season nomination events made stars break out their glammest gowns. And while everyone looked fabulous, two lovely ladies stood out for their inventive and intuitive abilities to match their dresses to their bodies' natural (or, in some cases, not-so-natural) palettes. Who scored top honors for her all-over golden glow? And which pink lady should've added another hue into the mix? It's all right here.

Elizabeth Olsen might be a newcomer to the Hollywood scene, but she's got her red-carpet look down like a pro: romantic waves, soft makeup, a champagne-silky clutch and a Valentino dress whose neutral-and-gray pattern plays perfectly with her naturally golden hair and big blue eyes. With its classic long lines and subtle print, this gown doesn't push the envelope—and that's totally okay for an actress who's been the picture of quiet confidence ever since she became one of the most talked-about breakout performers of the year. We have a feeling this won't be Elizabeth's first Style Superstar win!
