It was another Comic-Conpalooza in Twitterland today, with celebs like "Vampire Diaries" writer Kevin Williamson headed to the big event and "Iron Man 2" actress Olivia Munn bemoaning her barely there outfits. We are also happy to report that "Family Guy" creator Seth McFarlane took our advice and is finally going to find out what that "Twilight" thing is all about.

In other Twitter news, an actor fondly recalled his mullet, a comedian adopted a brood and an actress (Elizabeth Banks, pictured) inspired some heavy lifting.

No shocker here. Comic-Con, which kicked off today in San Diego, was one of Twitter's top trending topics today beat only by #intheclub (um, okay....). And you better believe some of our favorite celebs got in on the action. "New Moon" stars Rachelle Lefevre and Christian Serratos announced they were in a bus headed to the convention center, while "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane claimed he had no idea what all the "Twilight" fuss was about. Get with the program, Seth!

While one of our favorite heartthrobs (RPattz, natch) was heating up Comic-Con, another sent out a "killer" Tweet about making a fan's day. In other news, a musician's daughter became an aspiring vampire and another musician had a run in with a "real" vampire.

Katy Perry is looking for a lifeline. Or maybe her hacker is. It's hard to tell from this seemingly jokey Tweet the songstress posted today: "Sh--! Someone's hacked into my twitter and sending tons of really annoying tweets about a life line? Sorry guys!!! (eheheh)." Whatever the case, Katy or someone posing as Katy announced that she would be on an upcoming episode of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire," and proceeded to ask Suri Cruise, Robert Pattinson and Dakota Fanning to be her phone a friend. Suri, FTW!

Elsewhere in the Twitterverse, a "New Moon" villian (Rachelle Lefevre, pictured above left) ragged on her fellow vamps, an actress found a surprise snack in her purse and a writer saw '70s stars.

A slew of celebs from Christian Siriano to Sarah Silverman became a part of an apparent viral marketing campaign today when they Tweeted the question "who is sliimy?" Upon further Google, we discovered Sliimy is a quirky French singer who recently released a mellow cover of Britney Spears' "Womanizer." Problem solved!

In other Twitter happenings, a singer contemplated the full moon (as opposed to the "New Moon"), an actor made faces at Roger Ebert, and a band of brothers unleashed their inner plushies.

Declaring your dating status on Facebook is so 2008. (We'll miss you weepy broken heart!) Twitter is now officially the cool kids' way to declare a hook up or a break up thanks to two young musicians. As we mentioned earlier today, it looks like Demi Lovato and Miley's bro Trace Cyrus have ended their "relationship" via the 140-word feed. In other Twitter news, for some reason a certain Tweet Dreams post from last week has piqued your interest as we've noticed you keep on clicking on it. (Could it be because a little-known fellow with the initials R.P. gets a shout out? We'll never tell.)

We can't stop laughing about the clever Twit Pic sent by Jimmy Fallon , which shows him channeling Robert Pattinson's Edward Cullen in a tree ala "Twilight." It's probably the funniest thing we noticed in the Twitter world today. Well, that is until we saw a Tweet sent by an actual "Twilight" star. Yes, Cullen Patriarch Peter Facinelli directed a message to New Yorkers about the cast of his vampire flicks... and you'll have to read it in all its glory after the jump!

In addition to the hilarity behind "Twilight" mentions on Twitter, plenty of celebrities celebrated the Emmy nominations (one actress, in fact, compared the excitement on her set to a "mad tea party"), singer Sara Bareilles (picture) noted what it was like to use wireless on an airplane for the first time and a funny guy revealed what the McRib sandwich is really made out of.

While Brad Pitt isn't known as your typical celebrity Tweeter, he did share a few funny thoughts on the social networking site with Wired during his interview for the tech-savvy mag's August issue: "Don't take a picture of your wife's butt," he said of Twit Pic. "That's silly. Take pictures of other people's wives' butts."

Over on the actual Twitter site, Spencer Pratt tried to start the trending topic "#spencerforpresident" after he wrote, "I'm going back to college at USC to finish my political science degree so I can be the US President by the time I'm 35 in 10 years!!!" While the "Hills" villain looked forward, "Entourage" star Jeremy Piven (pictured) looked backward (to the 80s!) and Pete Wentz pointed out something we all do when we're on speaker phone.
