GleeSchool will be in session at William McKinley High for at least two more years. Fox announced today that it has picked up its song and dance series, "Glee," for seasons five and six.

"'Glee' debuted as the first and only successful musical comedy series on television, and more than four years later, it continues to defy genres, break new ground and have a significant impact on popular culture," Fox chairman Kevin Reilly said. "Week in and week out, Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan, Dante DiLoreto and the entire 'Glee' team deliver a series that not only delights and surprises fans, but also inspires them to talk about, share, debate and engage with the show—and I’m absolutely thrilled to have them on board for another two seasons."

The series underwent a major metamorphosis this season as its core class graduated, flocking to all corners of the country and making way for a brand-new crop of students. (Though, as any Gleek can attest, Rachel, Finn and Kurt never stay away from Lima, Ohio, for long...)

The OriginalsDuring last night's episode of "The Vampire Diaries," fans got a juicy little set-up for next week’s backdoor pilot for "The Originals" spin-off. Eternal bad girl Katherine offers up to eternal bay boy Klaus that he needs to head to New Orleans to hunt down a witch with a vendetta against him. (But, like really, who doesn’t have a vendetta against him?)

Well, with less than a week until Klaus heads to the Big Easy and takes "TVD" fans along for the ride, a little teaser trailer has hit the streets. In it, Klaus travels to his former stomping grounds to meet up with some old friends, including his former minion/crony/the vamp he sired Marcel, who now rules the underworld.

We caught up with the cast, including Ashley Rickards (Jenna), Jillian Rose Reed (Tamara) and Brett Davern (Jake) at this weekend's MTV Movie Awards, and they were ready, willing and able to spill some scoop on what we can expect from their characters in the upcoming episodes.

"Jenna's going to go to a whole new level of dark, and I am so excited to play it as an actress," Ashley said. "I think the fans will just love it."

But if anyone knows what fans will love, it's Jillian and Brett, who offered the most titillating tidbits to tease eager viewers.

And just like that, the dystopia is over...for now. Emma Roberts took to Twitter over the weekend to let fans know that she had finished production on the pilot for the Fox series "Delirium."

For the uninitiated, "Delirium" is set in an alternate reality where love has been deemed a disease, curable only by a lobotomy-like procedure that does away with one's ability to feel. Weeks before she is to have the surgery, Lena Haloway (Emma) succumbs to the infirmity (i.e. she falls in love).

Richard E. GrantWith us still mourning the loss of Christopher Abbott (a.k.a. the adorable, somewhat emo Charlie) after learning he left "Girls" this week, there’s some new casting scoop making its way out into the world.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Dr. Who" actor Richard E. Grant (who was more importantly in "Spice World"...as well as other stuff like "The Iron Lady"), has joined the show. He will play a bloke named Jasper in the season premiere. Other than that, we know nothing else about what his role will be in shaping the lives of Hannah (Lena Dunham) and her wayward pals.

Katey SagalWith stars like Gloria Estefan, Idina Menzel, Jeff Goldblum and Carol Burnett all on board the cast of "Glee," it's no surprise to see that yet another high-profile actress has fallen into the show's parent trap.

The Hollywood Reporter has the news (via creator Ryan Murphy's Twitter) that Katey Sagal, best known for her roles on "Sons of Anarchy" and "Married... With Children" has signed on to play the role of Artie's mom in season four. (Bonus: Kevin McHale, who plays Artie, was the first one to float the actress' name as his ideal on-screen mother. Congrats, Kevin, on winning the mom of your dreams!)

We can't say for certain that "Girls" creator Lena Dunham's most recent tweet is in regards to today's news that Christopher Abbott (a.k.a. Charlie) has parted ways with the HBO series, but the timing is curious if nothing else. Lena posted a photo of her and executive producer Jenni Konner with the caption: "Don't worry guys, we got this on lock #girls"

And don't you worry, Lena. We're here for you. And it's not like Marnie and Charlie really belonged together anyway, right!?
