Much has been made of the jaw-dropping twist ending of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2," but can we take a moment to recognize another feat of cinematic grandeur in this film franchise finale? Namely, the curious cackle emitted by villainous vampire Aro (otherwise known as actor Michael Sheen) when he meets half-human, half-bloodsucker Renesmee. Because that, fellow Twilghters, is a thing of beauty.

When MTV News' Josh Horowitz sat down with the star in anticipation of the movie's release, he had to get down to the bottom of that giggle.

"It's the laugh of millenia-old insanity rising up for from the abyss that is his empty soul," Michael explained.

When Josh asked for a tutorial, the actor made it clear in no uncertain terms that one does not simply laugh like Aro.

It's a question we've been posing to the entire cast and crew of "The Twilight Saga": What future do you foresee for the franchise?

Second only to author Stephenie Meyer, director Bill Condon and screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg probably have the most informed insight (sorry, Taylor Lautner!) when it comes to matters of spin-offs, sequels and the like. So when we sat down with them in anticipation of "Breaking Dawn - Part 2," we asked them to speculate about where things go from here.

"It was interesting—we talked early on—when you take that final book and all the vampires get introduced, it's hard to give each of them their due," Bill explained. "They all have great back stories. I suggested new filmmakers do something for the DVD—a film for each one of them. That never happened, but it does seem to me there is some way that the whole universe that gets hinted in this movie could be explored, but put the Edward and Bella story to bed."

Bill added whatever route producers decide to travel, it will probably be without him. "I think my time is over," he said.

Screenwriter Melissa, however, would be game for another go around in Forks, Washington, though she hasn't had any discussion with the studio just yet.

For the past few years, our list of Things to Be Thankful For has included a bunch of repeat featurees: our friends, our families, our jobs, our health...and, of course, our tortured emo vampire boyfriend who glitters like a beautiful sparklefish in the noonday sun. And this year, our gratitude for "The Twilight Saga" is extra poignant, as the final film in the franchise hit theaters just in time for us to discuss the whole cinematic series (not to mention that brilliant twist of an almost-ending!) with other superfans over our Turkey Day table. So with "Breaking Dawn - Part 2" topping our list this year, it was only fitting that we check in with Stephenie Meyer, who has given us so very much to be thankful for—and ask her what, if anything, she's feeling good about as the end of 2012 draws near.

Her answer shouldn't surprise anyone: "It feels like a really eventful year. A lot of really big things happened this year," she mused. And yes, she said, "The movie coming out is a big deal."

The sun has nearly set on "The Twilight Saga" film franchise, but before MTV News bids one final farewell (so dramatic, right?!), we had to check off a few items on our to-do list. Or, more specifically, Josh Horowitz had to complete his "Twilight Bucket List," which, if you know anything about Josh Horowitz, is a litany of weird, awkward things involving the cast, like "prolonged physical contact" and "provoke startling revelations."

Yet, the stars assembled at the New York premiere of "Breaking Dawn - Part 2," including Ashley Greene, Elizabeth Reaser, Casey LaBow, Kellan Lutz, Maggie Grace and Dakota Fanning, were oddly willing to participate. We'll blame it on the a-a-a-a-a alcohol.

So pour your own celebratory shot (but only if you're legal, kids!), and drink in this final "Twilight"-themed After Hours.

Breaking Dawn - Part 2And just like that, it's over.

For the first time in five years, fans of "The Twilight Saga" awoke this week to a world without anticipation. The battle is won! The Cullens are wed! The Renesmee is safe! And with "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" out in theaters as of three days ago, there will be no more sparkly vampires in Hollywood for the foreseeable future...and yes, let's all shed a few small, bitter tears for the end of an era, 'cause it's been quite a ride.

But with nothing to look forward to, this is the perfect time to look back—at five whole movies that tell the story of Bella Swan and her fateful journey to the un-sunny land Forks. From the opening credits of "Twilight" to romantic entanglements of "Eclipse" to the awesome end-game action of "Breaking Dawn - Part 2," this has been one of the best-loved and most successful franchises in the history of Hollywood. And now that all five films are nice and fresh in your mind (because we know you re-watched the first four before heading out to see the grande finale this weekend), curious bloggers want to know: which of the "Twilight" Saga's cinematic efforts was your absolute faaaavorite favorite?

No, really, which one?

As "The Twilight Saga" draws to a close, plenty of fans and industry types alike have speculated over how the franchise can continue—whether it be a television spin-off or cinematic reboot. We posed the question to star Taylor Lautner, who offered another suggestion:

"How about a musical? That would be fun!" he said.

I guess Taylor never got the memo about that staging of "Twilight: The Musical" in New York earlier this year. But no matter! Because the 20-year-old had, perhaps, an even better idea after that.

Here at Hollywood Crush, we've got a proud Friday tradition of naming one fiercely fashionable individual to the position of Style Superstar: an honor we bestow on whichever lovely lady happened to put together the best look of the week. And things being what they are, our Style Superstar has only ever been a lady. UNTIL NOW.

Because let's be real, there was nothing—nothing!!!—in the closets of Hollywood's finest females this week that could compete with Robert Pattinson's emerald Gucci suit at the "Breaking Dawn -Part 2" premiere. I mean, that is a suit. A suit for the ages. A suit that may or may not have caused our underpants to burst into flames at the mere sight of it, it's so...so...SUITABLE. And though Rob already earned a style retrospective this week for his long-standing penchant for colorful menswear, this gallant green number in a teeny tiny houndstooth print deserved its own spotlight. With a light blue shirt, a skinny black tie and his creases all perfectly placed, the actor outshone even his lady costars' gorgeous gowns with manly panache. And he is, with our congratulations, this week's Style Superstar.

Not gonna lie: Even though we know that the Volturi are sadistic, shifty, murderous jerks with a well-developed taste for carnage to go with their impeccable manners, and even though we know we're supposed to be rooting for Team Cullen, and only Team Cullen, during the final showdown in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2," we can't help having a bit of a soft spot in our hearts for Aro—Volturi head honcho, expert manipulator and owner of the best evil-guy laugh ever to grace the silver screen. So when we finally got the chance to chat with Michael Sheen, the man behind the monster, we were dying to hear about his take on playing the one character in the saga who everyone loves to hate! Which, if such a thing is even possible, made us love to hate him even more.

"I sort of figure, if you're playing someone who is centuries old—millennia old—then one of the biggest problems is boredom," he explained.

Yep, that's right: According to Michael, the real secret inspiration behind Aro's sadistic behavior is that really, the guy's just looking for a way to stay engaged, y'know?
