In a scene that sounds reminiscent of a certain "Twilight" moment in Port Angeles, actress Christian Serratos let her Twitter followers know that she's on the hunt for a fabulous frock for the upcoming "Breaking Dawn - Part 2" premiere on November 12 in L.A.
(If we've learned anything from the movies, Christian, don't leave the store in the dark by yourself!)
With "The Twilight Saga" coming to a close, our own Josh Horowitz sat down with stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner to take one final look at the series during Thursday's MTV First. Be sure to check it out!
It was the beginning of the end last night during our final First dedicated to all things "Twilight." But before you dissolve into crying jags with only your Edward Cullen body pillow to wipe your tears, there's plenty to celebrate. Like, you know, the fact that we got an entire 30 minutes with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. And they did and said a lot of things. A lot of cool, fun, awesome, vampirey, werewolfy things! And we have a few favorite moments—five to be exact. So check them out after the jump and be sure to leave your own faves in the comments below!
Robert feels up...Taylor?!
During a segment in which Josh Horowitz asked the cast to reflect on a number of the saga's most memorable moments (vampire baseball, anyone?), Robert admitted that the tent scene in "Eclipse" ended up a bit handsier than the script directions called for. Mostly because he kept slapping Taylor's, um, manpecs. "I remember grabbing your boob all the time in this one," Robert said to Taylor.
If you tuned into last night's MTV First: "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" featuring stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, you not only got a sneak peek at their hotly anticipated November 16 release, but also a first look at (listen to?) the clandestine screenplay for follow-up "Breaking Dawn - Part 3." Never mind that it was actually penned by MTV News' Josh Horowitz and clearly not sanctioned by series author Stephenie Meyer.
And despite its unauthorized status, the trio was willing to do a cold read-through of the script—a read-through that, if we're being honest, went off the rails quite quickly. In fact, the cast didn't even make it all the way through their sides. But it's okay, because the screenwriter has given us permission to post the scene in its entirety. Check it out after the jump!
"Twilight" stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart cut quite the freakish form on Halloween when they showed up to a fete at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery wearing bizarre transparent masks, which looked like props straight out of a slasher flick. Though Kristen later changed into a more conventional disguise—a pink bobbed wig and sunglasses—we couldn't help but ask the duo what was up with that when we had them in our studio last night for MTV First: "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2."
"Oh yeah, I look awesome," Kristen said when presented with the photo of her and Rob at the party. "That's not fair. That's actually a really weird [photo]."
Poor angles aside, Kristen spilled that her get-up was an homage to one of her favorite movies. "I love 'Closer,'" she said of the 2004 drama starring Julia Roberts, Jude Law and Natalie Portman. "If you've seen that, that's one aspect of [Natalie's] character. She changes a lot in that movie, but that's one part, yeah."
Of all the "Twilight Saga" quotes that will live in infamy, I have a feeling "Take a whiff!" will soon be at the top of the list. No idea what I'm talking about? Then you need to watch this EXCLUSIVE clip stars Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson debuted tonight during MTV First: "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2."
The bite picks up as Bella and Edward arrive back at the Cullen compound—a moment that should be familiar to Twilighters as it's been heavily featured in the trailers. But what you haven't experience yet is the smell. Yes, the smell. See, Jacob is concerned about how Bella will react to daughter Renesmee. Like, will she want to eat her? So he offers himself up as a sort of experiment, saying, "Take a whiff!" Which she does! And you know what? All the rumors are true; he does stink! You dirty wolf, you!
This is it, guys. The final MTV First dedicated to all things "Twilight." Can you believe it? It seems like a dream. A dream we could base a best-selling four-part young-adult series upon? Maybe. Except, well, it's not a figment of our imaginations. The end is nigh, and we're going out in grand fashion.
"Breaking Dawn - Part 2" co-stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner are stopping by MTV News to not only debut an EXCLUSIVE clip from the film franchise's finale, but to also chat with our own Josh Horowitz for a full 30 minutes. And it will be awesome.
The stream begins at 8 p.m. ET, when the "Twilight" trio will introduce their secretive sneak peek. From there, well, we can't even begin to imagine the shenanigans that will take place. So you better sit tight and take it all in. FOR ONE LAST TIME.
If someone seems suspiciously absent from "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" publicity rounds, it's not on purpose. Alice Cullen, otherwise known as actress Ashley Greene, is, like many, stuck in New York thanks to superstorm Sandy, meaning she missed today's L.A. junket for the franchise's final film.
While we're bummed Ashley wasn't able to stop by to chat with our own Josh Horowitz, we're glad to hear she's safe and sound in the city. But really,
Alice Ashley, you didn't see this coming?
The Elite Eight round of MTV News' Twi-Fight Saga kicked off today, and it looks like it's every Cullen for themselves as the match-ups hit very close to home.
Check it: Every single face-off features members of the same family! It will be a battle of the generations as Edward takes on the Cullen coven's surrogate mother Esme and lady love Bella goes toe-to-toe with sheriff father Charlie (and this after already wiping the floor with mother Renee in the second round!). Meanwhile, Jasper tries to undo Alice, while the Denali daughters will fight for supremacy as Tanya and Kate rumble.
And so, the madness begins: With just two weeks left until the premiere of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2," the "Twilight" cast will be going all-out to promote the final chapter of the saga they've spent so many years with, which means that you'll be able to catch one or the other (or the other other) of the cast's major players on all the usual late-night shows starting right about...now. And first up, is Taylor Lautner on "The Tonight Show"! Everyone's favorite shirtless werewolf took a seat in one of Jay Leno's armchairs last night to talk about "Twilight": where it all began, and, more importantly, how it's gonna end.
Because it was Halloween, Taylor's interview opened with a nod or two to the holiday—including a photo, shared by the actor's mom, of a teensy baby Taylor dressed as Batman. (Alas, Taylor's grown-up Halloween plans included no such costume; he admitted that after the show, he was just gonna go home.) And when the talk turned to all the requisite world-touring he's doing to promote his latest film, the thrills'n'chills theme reappeared once more: turns out that Taylor's favorite stop on the media tour is Australia, primarily because it gives him the opportunity to go shark diving. Scary!
Judging by the anticipatory panting that's echoing around the internet this morning, we don't actually need to remind you that tonight, for the very last time, we'll be joined by Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner for an MTV First "Twilight" EXCLUSIVE...but tonight, for the very last time, we'll be joined by Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner for an MTV First "Twilight" EXCLUSIVE OMG YOU GUYS IT REALLY IS THE LAST ONE. And if you, like us, have been reduced to tears and general flailing over the impending end of the best supernatural saga ever to involve the glittering undead, you'll want to be sure to tune in to MTV at 8 p.m. tonight to see the big three (plus one or two as-yet-unnamed mystery cast members) debuting a brand-new clip from "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2"...and then direct your browser to MTV.com, where the fun (and flailing) continues with an extended chat between the stars of the film and our own Josh Horowitz.
