Who's got the luckiest butt at this year's Video Music Awards? It's debatable, but we're putting our money on Kim Kardashian as the big winner: the celebrity seating assignments for Sunday night's show have been revealed, and the reality TV darling will be planting her famously famous derriere right next to none other than Taylor Lautner. And between Kim's butt and Taylor's bod, these seats are about to contain more sexiness per square inch than any other pair in the house.
Also of note: the Diva Seats, where Britney Spears will be camped out right next to Beyoncé, and the Aww You're Killing Us With The Cuteness Seats, where VMA pre-show host Selena Gomez will be cuddling up alongside real-life boyfriend Justin Bieber. Think we'll catch them stealing a smooch during the commercial breaks? Or will they be playing it cool for the cameras? (Our guess: the latter, for safety's sake. Fans of the Biebs can be vicious when threatened.)
By now, you've heard the good news that the lovely Selena Gomez will be MTV's black-carpet bestie at the upcoming Video Music Awards: co-hosting our live, special pre-show segment and schmoozing it up with the stars we love. (It all goes down Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/PT!)
But before the big night rolls around, it's important to make sure she's prepared...and because the Hollywood Crush staff have been around the VMA block a time or two—and because, when it comes to the habits of highly effective pre-show hosts, we know all the things—we're offering Selena a little of our own expert advice on how to avoid five common on-camera blunders! Because when it's live and anything can happen, you should absolutely not, under any circumstances, break the following rules:
You've probably heard by now (and if you haven't, you're likely huddled in a cave somewhere) that the first look at the big-screen adaptation of "The Hunger Games" will catch fire this Sunday at the MTV Video Music Awards. While that's still several days away, we have something to temper your hunger until then: a teeny, tiny morsel of the footage in question!
Click play on the video below to watch "The Hunger Games" VMA promo!
Obviously, we couldn't give too much away here, but you will see the iconic Mockingjay symbol ablaze and a quick clip of Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) in her Hunger Games uniform, ducking from some unseen danger. (And knowing the arena, there's no shortage of deadly menaces to choose from...)
Selena Gomez might currently be making headlines because she is Miss Justin Bieber, but the 19-year-old triple-threat is a certified starlet in her own right. She's a Disney Channel icon, a platinum-selling musical artist and a box-office queen, and she's done it all before the age of 20. Selena's next big gig is co-hosting the MTV Video Music Awards pre-show this Sunday, so we figured now is as good a time as any to look back at Selena's evolution into an A-list teen star.
Born in Grand Prairie, Texas, on July 22, 1992, Selena was inspired to go into acting by her mother, stage actress Mandy Teefey. She got her big start on television at age seven when she played Gianna on "Barney & Friends," and then transitioned to film thanks to small roles in "Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over" and "Walker, Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire." After two years in Hollywood, Selena was discovered by the Disney Channel during a nationwide scouting, and she quickly became a part of a new generation of Disney stars.
Hungry yet? In just four days, MTV will reward your appetite for all things "Hunger Games" by debuting the very first footage from the highly anticipated March 23, 2012 release! It all goes down at this year's Video Music Awards airing Sunday at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
Star Jennifer Lawrence, who plays bow-and-arrow-wielding heroine Katniss Everdeen, will introduce the exclusive clip, which will be available online at MTV.com following its on-air debut.
As an appetizer to the main course, we're serving up a fresh batch of "Hunger Games" goodies throughout the week, starting today with a look back at some of our favorite "Hunger Games" quotes courtesy of stars Jennifer, Josh Hutcherson and more.

The odds will ever be in your favor on Sunday, August 28, when the first glimpse of the big-screen adaptation of "The Hunger Games" debuts at the MTV Video Music Awards! Star Jennifer Lawrence, who plays heroine Katniss Everdeen in the dystopian drama, will introduce the exclusive footage—our first look at Gary Ross' film, which hits theaters March 23, 2012.
Until now, us hungry fans have had to sate ourselves with production stills of Jennifer and co-stars Josh Hutcherson (Peeta) and Liam Hemsworth (Gale). But now, we finally get to see some action! The clip will be available on MTV.com following the premiere.
If you want to catch a glimpse of megacutie Taylor Lautner before his action-thriller "Abduction" hits theaters next month, you best get yourself down to L.A.'s Nokia Theatre Sunday afternoon. Or better yet, just tune into MTV's Video Music Awards, because everyone's favorite werewolf is set to present at this year's ceremony!
The 19-year-old was among a slew of VMA presenters announced today, including Nicki Minaj, Drake, Joe Jonas and Jared Leto, who join previously announced stars Selena Gomez (she'll help host the black carpet pre-show), Seth Rogen and newly wed Kim Kardashian.

If you’re anxiously awaiting tonight's star-studded reveal of the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards nominations (like the rest of us!), here's a little treat to tide you over.
MTV and Lionsgate, the studio behind the upcoming Taylor Lautner action film "Abduction," are giving you a chance to be abducted on an all-expense paid trip to Los Angeles for music's biggest night! The grand prize includes two tickets to the August 28 ceremony, round-trip airfare, ground transportation and hotel accommodations. Pretty awesome, huh?
Werewolves are so hot right now. Ha! We'll be here all week, folks! Anyway, so yeah, werewolves. They're everywhere! From "True Blood" to "The Vampire Diaries," they're having a moment, no doubt, so what better time to launch a new show all about the hirsute horrors? MTV's upcoming series, "Teen Wolf," a remake of the classic 1985 flick, premieres early next year, but the series' stars say you shouldn't confuse their redo with its inspiration.
"We're definitely doing our own thing," star Tyler Posey told MTV News while on the white carpet at Sunday's VMAs. "We are doing a remake of 'Teen Wolf,' but it's almost nothing like the original movie. We've got our own thing going on."
Week after week on "True Blood," beefy star Joe Manganiello set our hearts racing as contractor and Sookie protector Alcide Herveaux. Oh, and he just so happens to be a warm-blooded werewolf too, albeit, one of the non-people-eating, good guy variety. Yet, we couldn't help but wonder what effect Lady Gaga's meat dress had on the star during Sunday's Video Music Awards, where he served as a presenter.
"She looked delicious!" Joe said with a laugh when asked by MTV News' Tim Kash if the flesh frock made him hungry. Good thing Debbie Pelt and Cooter weren't in attendance, or Miss Gaga would have had a real were problem on her hands!
Which "True Blood" character would you like to see wear a meat dress next season?
