Taylor Swift: We've Got Our Eyes On The VMA Nominee In This Week's Star Gazing

Let's go back. Way back. To 2008. Back then, it didn't seem country-pop princess Taylor Swift could get any hotter. She was the biggest selling artist of the year, after all. But the hardworking performer must have had some even loftier goals among her 2009 New Year's resolutions. In addition to her hotter-than-ever music career, Taylor's been honing her acting skills, guest starring on an episode of "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" and scoring a role in the ensemble rom-com "Valentine's Day." As the "Fearless" singer prepares to perform at (and perhaps win a Moonman at) this year's VMAs, Taylor is the focus of this week's "Star Gazing."

'New Moon' Actress Ashley Greene To Be Red Carpet Fashion Correspondent At Sunday's VMAs

This year's MTV Video Music Awards (kicking off Sunday, September 13 at 9 p.m. ET) are shaping up to be a Twilighter's dream come true (dare we say better than an Edward Cullen hallucination?). You're probably well aware that stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner will be on hand to unveil a new "New Moon" trailer. You probably also know that Death Cab for Cutie will debut the first single off of the "New Moon" soundtrack ("Meet Me On the Equinox") that same day at MTV.com. But did you know that another of Fork's stylish vampires will be getting in on the action? That's right! Ashley Greene, who plays Edward's sis Alice Cullen, will be the celebrity fashion correspondent for the star-studded event.

It's probably no coincidence Ashley plays fashion maven Alice onscreen, what with her girly, flirty style off screen. The 22-year-old actress told MTV News that she's excited to put her own spin on the night's fashion coverage and already has a few famous fashionistas in mind to chat up on the red carpet. "I think Leighton Meester has really great style. I think Beyonce always has really cool things," she said. "[Lady Gaga] always has the craziest fashion ever and I'm really excited to see if she'll come over and chat with me about her inspiration, what she does. 'Twilight' At MTV Awards: A Look Back At The Fashions Of The Cast On The Red Carpet

We're sure Twilighters are already gearing up for the extended trailer premiere at the VMAs presented by none other than Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. Our minds have been going a mile a minute just thinking about what we're going to see in the teaser, but we're also starting to imagine what the trio will wear to the big event (and heck, how will KStew's hair look by then?).

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart & Taylor Lautner To Debut Expanded 'New Moon' Trailer At VMAs

Are you sitting down, Twilighters? I've got some big news. If you've been craving more "New Moon" footage before the movie's November premiere, you're gonna want to hear this. Stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will be on hand at the MTV Video Music Awards September 13 to premiere an exclusive, expanded trailer for "New Moon." SQUEEEEEAL!

We got our first look at the second chapter of Stephenie Meyer's vampire love story during last May's MTV Movie Awards and got an eyeful of Taylor in the "Meet Jacob Black" trailer that debuted a few months later. So, at the Miss Universe pageant last week the "2010 Michael Jackson" Heidi Montag made her big pop star debut when she sang her single, "Body Language." (We were able to snag pictures of her rehearsing in the days before the event, which took place at the Bahamas' Atlantis Resort, Paradise Island) It seemed to leave everyone talking, including her friends Kristen Cavallari and Stephanie Pratt who were quite impressed with Heidi's Britney-Spears-like performance.
