Show of hands: Who else's roommate walked in on them watching the opening moments of last night's "Girls" and assumed they were indulging in some secret porn obsession? Just me?

With little foreplay or forewarning, "Vagina Panic" opened on Hannah and her hook-up going at it. Like, really going at it. Vigorously. And let's just say I'll never look at my old Cabbage Patch lunchbox the same way after Adam's fantasy of finding 11-year-old Hannah on the side of the street. But, hey, at least he offered her a post-coital Gatorade! Gotta keep up those electrolyte levels!

Meanwhile, in another Brooklyn bedroom, Marnie and Charlie were also having the sex, but with much less enthusiasm. In fact, Marnie was so disgusted by the sight of Charlie that she kept her eyes closed much of the time. A clearly frustrated Charlie complained that he no longer knew how to make love to her, which only seemed to enrage Marnie more. "He's so busy respecting me, he looks right past me," she lamented to Hannah.

While most "Hunger Games" fans were extremely sad to see Gary Ross leave the franchise, it looks like they're ready to give director Francis Lawrence a warm welcome to Panem—should he accept Lionsgate's offer (we're hoping he does, as his music video directing history bodes well for the dystopian drama).

When we spoke to a few "Hunger Games" fansite experts recently, they largely agreed that Lawrence was a good choice for the job.

Hunger Games Examiner Sara Gundell said she was "really excited" that Lionsgate extended the offer to the "I Am Legend" director. "I had been really disappointed when Gary Ross left," she said. "And knowing that Francis Lawrence was going to take over, it got me excited again about the franchise. I think he's going to do really amazing things. And I think of all of the other directors that Lionsgate was considering, or that we know they were considering, he brought kind of everything to the table in my opinion."

In addition to discussing the very serious subjects of pre-production training regimens and real-life Nicholas Sparks-inspired romantic moments with the stars and author of the recently released drama "The Lucky One," we thought we should have a little fun with Zac Efron and Taylor Schilling and test their Sparks movie knowledge, along with Sparks himself.

The first hard-hitting question,"Can you name three movies based on Nicholas Sparks books?" turned out to be a bit too easy for our quiz-ees because they knocked it out of the park.

Sparks chose to answer by naming the first three of his book-to-movie adaptations in order, but backwards. Zac and Taylor managed to name more than three titles, thanks to Zac's impressive-yet-random recall of "Nights in Rodanthe." I had to provide an assist with "A Walk To Remember" though.

It's an incredible year to be Chloe Moretz. Her most recent film "Hugo" took home five Academy Awards, she stars alongside Johnny Depp in Tim Burton's upcoming "Dark Shadows," and she was recently cast as the title character in the remake of the Stephen King thriller "Carrie." As if that wasn't enough, she has five other projects in the works slated for release between late 2012 and early 2013.

As if we couldn't envy her any more, would you look at where she's taking a vacation?! Absolute paradise. The bright blue skies, the fluffy white clouds, the crystal clear water and rolling green mountains, it's like a dream. We're currently staring at a white wall (it does have a gigantic poster of Ryan Gosling on it), but right now a vacation sounds more appealing.

By now we're sure you've all watched the "Magic Mike" trailer to the point of being able to imitate Channing Tatum's sick dance moves. And predict the exact moment when Matthew McConaughey takes the stage in his tight, torso-baring leather. And mouth the lines: "You don't have anything sharp on you that I can stick myself with, do you?" "No." "Good, 'cause I do." Or is that just us? Oh well, we are not ashamed! I mean, you did see Channing's body, right? Hot damn.

We know the trailer is full of sweaty, sexy goodness, but is it accurate? Will the movie portray the life of strippers correctly? MTV News interviewed a male stripper to find out and he said it's pretty spot on! We also had our round table of experts strip down the clip to get to the most noteworthy parts.

If you follow the Hollywood hullabaloo as closely as we do, you've likely heard more than a few royal decrees regarding Kiera Cass' new novel, "The Selection." Though it doesn't hit bookstore shelves until next Tuesday, the dystopian tale's TV rights were snatched up earlier this year, with a CW series—starring Aimee Teegarden, Ethan Peck and William Moseley—already in production. And, of course, it's just one of several YA books being dubbed the next "Hunger Games." So it seemed a long time coming when the novel finally crossed my desk recently.

The world of "The Selection" is one in which society is divided into distinct, numbered castes. Ones are wealthy; eights are dirt poor. America Singer, our story's heroine, is a five; her family is composed of artists who make the bulk of their meager living during the festive holiday months. (To them, "starving artist" isn't just a meaningless idiom.) America, much to her family's dismay if they ever found out, is in love with a six named Aspen, whom she clandestinely meets at night in the relative privacy of her treehouse, where they share food and snuggle. Yep, adorbs.

This year's political battles are heating up, but there was no partisan division of red and blue in this week's fashion arena. The well-dressed celebs featured this week wore their primary colors in perfect harmony, donning elegant red and blue looks that played perfectly when anchored with bold-hued shoes. Whose mismatched mish-mash of stylish separates would definitely win our vote? And whose peplum look is getting a veto this week? Read on!

Even before she was tapped to play the Capitol fashionista Effie Trinket in "The Hunger Games," Elizabeth Banks had a distinctive risk-taking style on the red carpet—and her eclectic pairing of these Peter Pilotto separates for the "Five Year Engagement" premiere is the perfect example. A pretty patterned top in combination with a lace overlay skirt makes for an eye-catching combination of textures and lines, while the complementary palette of both pieces keeps this look for getting too busy. Add a pair of deep blue pumps, sideswept hair, and subtle makeup, and Elizabeth had a memorable and creative casual look that makes her this week's Style Superstar!

Francis LawrenceOkay y'all: enough reeling and sobbing over the loss of Gary Ross as director of "The Hunger Games franchise. It's over, wallowing in a breakup is no way to live, and we all need to move on...especially since Lionsgate just answered our most burning-est question about the next film, when they presented Francis Lawrence with the official offer to direct "Catching Fire"!

Nothing is set in stone yet, but Lawrence is, dare we say, a very good pick on the part of the studio to take on the challenge of bringing the Quarter Quell and nascent District revolution to life on screen. And while the director has some feature film experience that should come in useful for the job (including a good handle on the whole dystopian hero thing after directing Will Smith in "I Am Legend"), it's his music video work that really makes us giddy at the prospect of seeing him helm the next installment of "The Hunger Games." The director has a rich history of making visually stunning videos that depict revolution, revenge and settings that bear a striking resemblance to certain parts of Suzanne Collins' Panem. And after examining even a small sampling of his oeuvre—the videos for Britney Spears' "Slave 4 U," Beyoncé's “Run the World (Girls)” and Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance"—we've noticed three choice elements of Lawrence's directorial style that we'd love to see transferred to the big screen.

The Secret Sibling revealed! After a short hiatus, "The Secret Circle" returned to the airwaves last night with the show's biggest revelation since the return of John Blackwell. Isaac told Jake there was another Blackwell kicking around in his circle and "Crystal" wrapped up with Cassie Blake breathlessly coming to this realization about one of her friends: "You're my sister." Yep, the episode ended with those three words. And boy, was it powerful!

Throughout most of "Crystal," as the gang went on a quest to gather as many of the magical crystals possessed by their elder relatives as possible, all signs seemed to have pointed toward Faye. She does, after all, act like she's full of darkness. And early in the episode, as she rummaged through her house looking for a crystal with Melissa, she discovered her mother's journal, which dished all about a possible love affair with Cassie's dad back in the day. At one point she even threw herself in front of a speeding motorcycle (more on that later) in an attempt to trigger any latent dark magic within her. But the real Secret Sibling turned out to be somebody who used to fashion herself as the de facto leader of the crew (and keeper of their moral compass) until she spent most of "Crystal" wanting out: Diana!

When I saw last night’s episode title, the loaded phrase "Heart of Darkness," I thought to myself: Self, is this episode going to be Conrad-esque? Novella-esque? Colonizing Africa-esque? And, of course, it was none of the above. The title merely referred to the darkness that exists in all of us, especially Alaric (whose alter-ego, if you remember, hid that white oak stake in an undisclosed location), and maybe Damon, who had an enlightening conversation with Elena about why he doesn’t always want to show people the good in him (because then people expect too much!), and also Stefan, who had to tap into his dark side to reach Alaric’s dark side, and I guess really everyone, because we could just keep discussing every character’s dark side, but I’d really rather get down to business. Or pleasure. I love how writing these is both!

Let’s recap:
