It's true what our parents always taught us— you can't buy happiness. But apparently you can adopt it. Miley Cyrus did so in the form of an absolutely adorable puppy named Happy.

Miley took to Twitter to announce the news and explained that the dog was left in a box outside Wal-Mart. "I don't understand how people can be so cruel," she tweeted. "That's why we named him Happy." How precious! And while she's unsure of the exact breed, she said their best guess is a rottweiler-beagle mix.

Lady Gaga and "Vampire Diaries" hottie Taylor Kinney have reportedly gone their separate ways after nearly 10 months of dating.

Sources tell Us Weekly that the pop tart and her “Yoü and I” co-star are “on a break.” It seems that Gaga wants to use this time to focus on her lengthy Born This Way ball, currently underway overseas. "She will be touring nonstop until next year and has found she can't have relationship at the same time,” the source explained. "There's just no room for anything else. Her work is all-consuming."

Robert PattinsonHe's been a sparkly vampire, a social-climbing Parisian Lothario, a penniless veterinarian and a Voldemort victim—and now, Robert Pattinson is about to add "grizzled military hero" to his ever-expanding list of post-"Twilight" roles.

Deadline reports that RPattz has signed on to star in "Mission: Blacklist," a based-on-a-true-story psychological thriller about the events that led to the capture of Saddam Hussein. The actor will be playing army interrogator Eric Maddox, who masterminded the efforts that culminated in Hussein's arrest... which means that not only will we be seeing more of Rob's well-practiced American accent, but he'll be in uniform, to boot.

...We'll wait while you finish hyperventilating.

Secret Circleby Ryan J. Downey

Nick is back from the grave and his onscreen brother, played by Chris Zylka, promised "an emotional roller coaster" as "The Secret Circle" speeds closer to the season one finale with tonight's episode, "Prom." With the gang on the hunt for another crystal, there'll be more revelations about the events of 16 years ago which killed many of their parents (and what exactly John Blackwell's role in that was) and further developments with the witch hunters, the Blackwell sisters (!) and Jake's returned brother.

"Prom" airs tonight. The season one finale, "Family," will follow on May 10. Speaking to Hollywood Crush by phone on Wednesday, Chris assured us that nobody is safe. "There will be blood, there will be deaths," he said. "[The finale will feature] jaw-dropping, amazing cliffhangers for each character. Each character has a cliffhanger that could go either way. They could go dark, they could go good, they could totally run away."

Emma Watson has officially introduced us to Nicki, y'all! Who is Nicki, you ask? She's none other than Emma's character in Sofia Coppola's movie "The Bling Ring." The film is inspired by the true events of young burglars who broke into celebrities' homes and stole upwards of $3 million in cash and, well, bling. Among their targets were Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and Megan Fox. Yikes, Hollywood needs better home protection!

You may remember when paparazzi pics of Nicki popped up last month, catching the vixen looking seriously saucy in a bikini top, short shorts and red lipstick. And if this new pic still doesn't give you an idea of the type of character she is, Emma's introduction also included her interests.

Who needs a mirror on the wall to suss out the fairest of them all when one can simply gaze upon the newest character poster from "Snow White and the Huntsman"? Universal has released a trio of fresh one-sheets in anticipation of their June 1 release, and we're simply smitten with this look at fierce Kristen Stewart all done up in her suit of armor. (Also, with Katniss Everdeen and now Snow White sporting stylish braids, we've pretty much decided pretty plaits will be our official summer 'do.)

If you click over to the film's official Facebook page, you can get a peek at the other two posters featuring Charlize Theron as Queen Ravenna and Chris Hemsworth as the titular Huntsman!

For her part, KStew's already gotten plenty of advanced praise for her turn as an embattled princess—and from important people in the know!

The titillation continues as we count down to the June premiere of "True Blood" on HBO, and today's teasing is a little bloodier than usual! The promotional poster for season five is here, and it features a sad, pale, beautifully blue-eyed somebody weeping gooey crimson tears for the return of everyone's favorite vampire sexfest. (Well, that or it's "Casino Royale" villain Le Chiffre doing his usual deranged unhappy eyeball thing... but we don't remember him being quite so pretty.)

See the full poster after the jump!

Though production is already in full swing, the casting news for Alcon Entertainment's film adaptation of "Beautiful Creatures" just keeps on coming. We couldn't be more thrilled because it's just another step closer to seeing Kami Garcia's and Margaret Stohl's best-selling novel on the big screen!

The latest: Variety reports that Kyle Gallner has been cast in the role of Larkin. The caster is a cousin to Lena Duchannes (Alice Englert) and brother to Ridley (Emmy Rossum). As an illusionist he can manipulate objects around him to look like something they're not, and while he isn't a main character, Larkin does play a key role in certain events surrounding the story's climax (but we don't want to give too much away, so make sure you pick up the book!).

Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with staff members. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.

Team Jacob loyalists might have had to give up the ghost on their preferred "Twilight" pairing, but die-hard fans of everyone's favorite shirtless shapeshifter might be interested to hear about his latest real-life hookup: Taylor Lautner was spotted on Monday having a dinner out with one-time girlfriend Sara Hicks, leading gossips to speculate that the two are back on track for romance. The pair has been seen hanging out in and around L.A. since January, with various sources confirming that they've been spending more time together in what may be a rekindling of their earlier relationship.

Sara, an NBA cheerleader, was Taylor's high school sweetheart before the star found fame in "The Twilight Saga"—and neither of them looked worried about being photographed as they exited the restaurant where they dined on Monday night. Which, according to the rules of both Hollywood and your average high school cafeteria, means that they are OMG TOTALLY DATING. (Or they're just platonic pals who enjoy each other's company and the same kind of food, but whatever, let's just spread rumors first and ask questions later.)

GleeIt was finally NYADA Day on "Glee"! So many internal monologues and tense conversations between Kurt and Rachel have led up to this very moment, and Ms. Rachel Berry was ready. There was no way she could choke now.

Wait. The episode was called "Choke"? She's probably going to choke.

But before that all happened, there were a few more obligatory storylines to get through.

Puck hasn't had anything to do in a while, but in this latest episode, he got a whole subplot to himself. With graduation looming, Noah Puckerman was coasting to a cap and gown. Always the concerned friend, Finn overheard him tell a sophomore that "gowns are for ladies, and tassels are for strippers." Puck was serious about graduating, but it was going to take passing his European geography exam to get him to the podium. A little canoodling with his geography teacher didn't help, as she resisted his mohawked charms, so he channeled his rage into the Alice Cooper classic "School's Out."
