Perilous slides down building facades, motorcycle chases and glass-shattering shoot-outs weren't the only stunts "Abduction" star Taylor Lautner had to contend with on the set of his action thriller (out Friday). There were also those steamy smooches with co-star Lily Collins. Lots of them. Which raises an interesting question. Which is harder: action sequences or kissing scenes?

We posed this precise query to stars Taylor and Lily while at the red carpet premiere for "Abduction" last week in Hollywood.

"Oof," Taylor grunted. "Two different kinds of action, right? We've got both of them in this movie, that's for sure. One's a little easier than the other."

"The action scenes, we shot a majority of them in the middle of the night, so those were kind of difficult because we were pretty tired," Lily chimed in. "The kissing scene, everyone's laughing around us. Everyone's making it really fun, but at the same time, trying not to laugh in the middle of it. That's kind of difficult."

Lily Collinsby Lauren Kearney

Lily Collins is arguably one of the luckiest girls alive. Not only is she beyond gorgeous, the daughter of a famous singer (Phil Collins) and the on- and off-screen sweetheart of hottie Taylor Lautner, but girlfriend's career is on a major upward trajectory that we don't see slowing down anytime soon.

This month, the 22-year-old actress appears on the cover of Teen Vogue, fulfilling one of her life-long goals. "I don't know if this is too weird to say, but this is completely surreal for me. Bizarre,” she admitted to the magazine. “The cover of Teen Vogue has been on my bucket list forever." How cute is she? Inside the issue, Lily chats about her and Kristen Stewart's dueling "Snow White" films, a certain werewolf and her future in the industry.

With Labor Day behind us, we can now officially look forward to the fruits of fall—namely comfy cozy cable sweaters, steaming cups of frou-frou hot chocolate and snuggling next to the fire with that special someone. Oh, and um, movies. Lots and lots of amazing movies. (Lest we forget the point of this here post!) ANYWAY! We're kicking off MTV News' Fall Movie Preview Week with an edge-of-your-seat EXCLUSIVE still straight from "Abduction."

Or rather, an edge-of-the-building still featuring star Taylor Lautner hanging precariously from a beam—we assume as part of that scene where Taylor slides down a building, skirting an assassin's bullets. Phew. We're getting a little nervous-sweaty just thinking about it.

Taylor Lautnerby Lauren Kearney

We're used to seeing Taylor Lautner get physical in his role as lovesick shape shifter Jacob Black in "The Twilight Saga," but considering most of the action takes place while in his wolf form, we've really been anticipating Taylor's bona fide action debut in the upcoming "Abduction."

Taylor plays a high-schooler named Nathan who discovers he's actually a missing child and goes on the run with classmate Karen (played by Lily Collins) to uncover his true identity. But with a release date nearly a month away, right now we're more interested in Taylor's true identity. Luckily, the heartthrob opened up in October's Seventeen magazine, talking relationships, "Twilight" and, of course, muscles.

Yes, muscles. Let's start there. For his kick-butt role in "Abduction," Taylor said he had to brush up on some of his old wrestling skills to convincingly portray hero Nathan.

Taylor LautnerFROM MOVIES BLOG: Move over Tom Cruise and Matt Damon, because Taylor Lautner is coming to steal the title of Hollywood's resident action star.

Mark Wahlberg already told Leonardo DiCaprio that the "Twilight Saga" star has put them out of a job, and it's about time that the Sylvester Stallones and Bruce Willis's of the world get the clue as well as a new action hero is born. Lautner's upcoming flick "Abduction" is looking like it's going to be the action movie for the new generation, and it's the 19-year-old's badass physicality that makes the film something to look forward to.

"Taylor's not only a really fabulous actor, he's also a gifted athlete," "Abduction" costar Jason Isaacs said in a recently released featurette about the movie. "He could take the entire crew with his hands tied behind his back."

We're ready for the "Abduction" to begin!

A new minute-long trailer for Taylor Lautner's action-thriller has hit the web, and where the first was heavy on hero Nathan's backstory and his fledgling romance with classmate Karen (Lily Collins), this new glimpse is all action, all the time.

The clip opens with Nathan sparring with his dad (Jason Isaacs)—or at least the man he thinks is his dad. Though it appears the duo are simply working up a sweat, knowing Nathan's parents aren't who they seem, it's clear faux-father is training Nathan for unforeseen complications arising from his true identity. What follows in the rather sparse teaser is a quick click of gun fire, shattering glass and car explosions, culminating in that nifty scene where Taylor slides down a glass building. No big deal.

Taylor Lautner has promised plenty of action and romance in his upcoming thriller "Abduction," and if the latest stills released by Lionsgate don't convince you of the truth in his words, nothing will.

In this first image, Taylor's character Nathan races through a city street on his motorcycle with a look of sheer determination on his face—and love interest Karen (played by Lily Collins) furiously clutching his back (we don't blame her!).

In case you just didn't get enough of Taylor Lautner during our "Breaking Dawn" livestream earlier today at San Diego Comic-Con, I'm here to say you're in for a twofer. That's right! The abilicious star is returning for our Friday livestream to chat about his other upcoming release, "Abduction," out in September. And that's not all. Tomorrow's "MTV News: Comic-Con Takeover" will include futuristic foxes Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried talking about all things "In Time."

We'll be honest, we're kind of worried about the building spontaneously combusting from all that hotness. Especially since Channing Tatum will also stop by to dish on his action flick "Haywire." Woo, doggy!
