Three cheers for one of our favorite leading ladies! If you've been missing Ashley Tisdale since her sis-boom-bah series "Hellcats" was cancelled earlier this year, we've got some news to put the pep back in your step: Ashley is headed back to the small screen!

Deadline reports that the 26-year-old has sold a semi-autobiographical sitcom to ABC—in which she'll both star and serve as co-executive producer. Titled "Under Construction," the series follows a young woman (presumably Ashley) who moves back home with her parents while her father renovates her hell-hole of a new house. And we assume very silly adult children/parent shenanigans will follow. (Who wants to bet that someone's going to walk in on someone else having the sex?)

Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with staff members. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.

Ashley Tisdale's 26th birthday gift puts everything on our Amazon wish list to shame.

It was a "High School Musical" reunion of sorts over the weekend as Zac Efron (clad in little more than camo board shorts) gave the birthday girl a celebratory piggyback ride on the beach in Malibu.

The playful gesture raised a few eyebrows across the blogosphere, as Perez Hilton posted additional pics of the two supposedly making out. Gossip Cop quickly debunked that story, adding that Ashley's boyfriend, Scott Speer, was in attendance at the bash.

It seems like just yesterday we were being introduced to the Hellcats crew of Lancer University, and Tuesday night our favorite cheer team closed out the season and the series for good. (ICYMI, The CW canceled the show yesterday.) Of course, the entire season was centered around going to nationals, and the finale kicked off with lots of sweat, sport bras and strep throat!

The Hellcats are plagued with a nasty bug and suddenly finds themselves with just enough members to compete. All the healthy cheerleaders are required to slumber party in the gym, and Marti thinks this is a great time to invite her half-sister Deirdre to hang out. Savannah comes on too strong when Marti introduces her, Deirdre freaks out and starts playing guitar with Travis Guthrie (why was he there? I have no idea!) and tells Marti the whole cheer thing is a pathetic scene. Marti calls out her bad attitude then invites Deirdre to be her guest to nationals. Surprisingly, Deirdre agrees.

Red's ex-wife, Emily, is determined to make life hell for Vanessa. She shows up at the cheer sleepover, makes passive aggressive comments about Vanessa in front of Lewis and leaves with a creepy smile. Vanessa doesn't give Emily's scorned woman ways a second thought because she has to to get her team to Nationals!

We're nearing the end of season one, and this week's episode of "Hellcats" kicks off with Lewis and his new GF nasty Cathy working on their seductive "in da club" dancing style. No, they aren't drunk or trying to get down, they're practicing their moves for a dance-a-thon to try and win a car for Lewis' dad. Oh wait. Never mind. As soon as we think it's all clean fun, they start making out only to be interrupted by Alice being a bitch…big surprise. Cathy storms out, Lewis confronts Alice and she blames genetics for her not-so-pleasant 'tude. She tries to convince Lewis that she is the better dance partner but is DENIED, and Lewis walks out on her.

Over in Savannah's crumbling life, the news of her dad's bribery/fraud case is all over the papers. While getting ready to go to dinner with Dan's family, Savannah complains about her family's frozen assets. Dan suggests a big family dinner with his family might be better for another night because his dad basically hates her dad for all the fraud. More or less, Savannah is a black sheep and Dan can't bring her around. He leaves, and she asks Marti for Julian's help. Savannah's family can't afford a lawyer and Julian is their only option for free representation. Marti says okay, but is more concerned with her dress.

Out with the old, in with the new seemed to be the theme of Tuesday night's "Hellcats." Of course, no episode can start without an ab-flashing dance routine practice in the gym. The Hellcats show off their breast cancer benefit routine for the new head of athletics, Dean Laverne. Although they appreciate the support and interest, the dean seems to like the routine a little too much. His pervy eyes and description of the routine as "tasty dance moves" are kind of creepy for my taste, but then again it's just a TV show.

Post perving-out, Dean Laverne turns on Vanessa and begins grilling her about her relationship with Red and information about Red's ex-wife Emily. Completely caught off guard, Vanessa sputters out a few sentences about not knowing much and asks why the interest. Well, turns out the NCAA has Lancer University under the microscope for their recent shady activity, scandal and staff turnover. It just so happens Emily is the head lawyer for the NCAA and is out to get Red. Why? Well wouldn't you know…when Red was married to Emily when he cheated on her with Vanessa. Burn.

Moving on, Dan and Marti see Savannah and Lewis arguing. Marti asks what's up, Savannah tells them about Lewis and the cheating scandal, and Lewis storms off telling everyone to leave it alone. He just wants to face the Honor Court and accept the consequences for buying a paper off Betsy the volleyball player. Unsatisfied with this, Marti goes after Lewis, hounding him to let her help, which he reluctantly agrees to. So Marti hops on her bike and pedals down to her now-former law professor's swanky new office digs. Can we just get it out of the way right now that Julian the lawyer is hot?! Wow. Why I haven't taken notice before is beyond me.

It seems like forever since we've talked about anything "High School Musical"-oriented around here. Not that we've had reason to, well, except for this. Lucky for us, we have Ashley Tisdale's just-released "HSM" spin-off "Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure" to discuss, along with a few words from the lady herself.

When I caught up with Ashley recently, I asked her what made her want to step back into Sharpay's often-sparkly shoes, and whether she's missed playing the character.

"After the first ['High School Musical'] movie it was really funny I remember, because we didn't know if we were going to do a second movie, we had no idea what was going to happen with the first movie," she said of Disney's mega-hit. "I remember taking her shoes off, I was like, 'I'm really going to miss this character,' I had so much fun," she recalled. "Especially because I was playing a character on 'The Suite Life of Zach and Cody' that was always in uniform and I felt that I got to redeem myself with all the clothes I got to wear."

So what made her want to revisit Sharpay in this fourth, "HSM"-related flick?

Blood! Gore! Zombies! After six long weeks of missing out favorite cheer team, the Hellcats dusted off their pom-poms and sis-boom-bah'd their way back into our hearts by helping Dan with his Lancer film school submission. Nothing says, "I'm serious about film making," more than having Marti eaten by a crew of zombies and the rest of the Hellcats fighting them off with a fancy dance routine and guns. Right? But we'll get to that in a sec.

First things first. Last time we checked in with Marti she was desperate to find out who her dad really was. Post-zombie bloodbath, Marti hops on her trusty bike headed for the guitar shop with picks she found in her dad's suitcase. She hopes she'll find any tiny bit of information about him. At the shop she meets Dierdra (played by AJ Michalka—yes Aly's real life sister), a space cadet of a store clerk.

After searching the store database for her dad's name and coming up with nothing, Dierdra tells Marti that the little podunk guitar shop they are standing in could be another CBGB. I mean it has one whole wall covered in old rock memorabilia, fliers, photos and stickers from all the musicians that have played there. One whole wall…wow. It takes Marti under a minute to find an old setlist from 1998 with her dad's name, Rex Perkins, on it. Marti immediately has issue with the date. Turns out, Wanda-the-wonder-mom lied to Marti years ago when she said Rex died in 1993. Marti confronts Wanda, she 'fesses up and takes Marti to their town's equivalent of L.A.'s Skid Row.

The DVD release of "Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure" was oh-so-chic today on Twitter. Stars Ashley Tisdale and Austin Butler (pictured) were super psyched for the release. Ashley, who tweeted over the weekend about plans to sign copies of the DVD at a Los Angeles Barnes & Noble today, had a lot to be excited about: a new episode of her series "Hellcats" also debut tonight! "Too excited for today! Sharpays fabulous adventure is finally in stores AND new Hellcats episodes start tonight!!!" she tweeted. As for Austin, he just hopes fans like the movie. "Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure is now in stores! Hope you like it!"

Ashley and Austin may have been hard at work promoting today, but fellow Disney alum Joe Jonas was taking it easy. "Was in the desert yesterday morning. Now in paradise. :) chillinnnnn ..." he tweeted, hinting at a tropical vacay. Pal Anna Perez de Tagle all but confirmed this, tweeting, "@joejonas heard where you guys were..extremely jealous..drink a coconut for me! Haha :)" It's not like those guys couldn't use a break.

"Hellcats" star Ashley Tisdale recently stripped away her squeaky clean image—literally—in the May issue of Allure magazine. The 25-year-old posed nude for the provocative shoot, proving to her fans she is no longer Sharpay Evans but a mature woman.

"Being in this shoot was me saying, 'I’m not just the young girl everybody thinks I am. I’m actually a woman,'" she told the magazine.

So what do her fellow "High School Musical" castmates think? We caught up with "HSM" alum Corbin Bleu recently at Gatorade's G-Series FIT Launch Event, and we have to say, he was completely shocked!

"What?! I did not hear about this, are you kidding me?" he exclaimed when we asked what he thought about the photoshoot. "Tis! I gotta see this. Good for you, Tis."
