Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 1In just a few short hours, Bella and Edward will be yours to have and to hold forever as "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" hits DVD and Blu-ray. Target stores across the country (500 in all) will be hosting special release parties beginning at 11 p.m., where you'll not only be able to pick up a copy of the hot hit but also see a sneak peek clip of "Breaking Dawn - Part 2." (Yes, we are squeezing our Edward Cullen doll extra tight right now to avoid hyperventilating...)

But we can't let Target have all the fun. Nuh-uh. Which is why we spent the better part of this afternoon watching the disc's nearly 90-minute, six-part making-of documentary. And boy did we learn a lot—we could write a thesis! But we won't. Cause that'd be boring. So instead, we've compiled a list of five interesting facts we gleaned from the special feature. Check 'em out after the jump!

The wait is almost over! In little more than a week, "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" will be yours to own on Blu-ray and DVD, meaning you can hit repeat on all those awkward wedding toasts over and over again. (Or, y'know, one of the steamy sex scenes. If that's your thing.) In anticipation of the February 11 release, we've nabbed an EXCLUSIVE DVD extra in which "Twilight" scribe (and "Breaking Dawn" producer) Stephenie Meyer recalls filming the climactic birth scene. Watch the behind-the-scenes clip of Edward (Robert Pattinson) trying to revive Bella (Kristen Stewart) as Stephenie explains:

"He was really able to touch the human emotions of that scene. Rob really nailed it," Stephenie recalled. "It was really powerful. I teared up, several people near me did. It was just a lump in your throat—that moment of thinking you've lost everything and not being able to accept it. It was really emotional."

If "The Twilight Saga" DVDs are lacking one thing, it's a proper bloopers reel. I mean, who wouldn't want to watch Taylor Lautner get stuck in his too-tight T-shirt as he whips it off for yet another shirtless scene? (NOT THIS GIRL) So it's in that spirit that we asked Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz earlier this year which funnies they'd include on the "Breaking Dawn" DVD. And they revealed a pretty great tidbit:

"We kind of pulled a prank on the director," Ashley explained. "The whole entire extended cast—like, every vampire coven—decided to plan out this dance, and do it instead of doing the scene. Bill [Condon, the director] started hysterically laughing."

So, of course, when I hopped on the phone with Bill last week to chat all things "Breaking Dawn" (including shooting that infamous sex scene and the film's soundtrack), I just had to ask about getting punk'd by a bunch of bloodsuckers. And as it turns out, the moment was even more epic than we imagined.

It's no secret that the final chapter of "The Twilight Saga" includes a heck of a payoff: the blessed-slash-horrifying birth of Bella and Edward's baby! And since we've been chatting with "Breaking Dawn" director Bill Condon, we had to ask the obvious question: How do you film a vampire baby busting its way out of the womb without violating every tenet of PG-13 movie-making (not to mention every law of human decency)?

Turns out, Bill had a brilliant idea for keeping it real without making it gross: "I just gave myself one rule, which was let's only see what Bella can see, lying there. So all this stuff is happening, she's seeing it from her point of view—she can look around, she can look up."

Of all the "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" gossip to hit the internet lately, everyone's favorite seems to be the one where James Franco tried to join the cast of the vampire blockbuster...and got flat-out turned down by director Bill Condon. So when MTV News got a chance to chat with Bill, Josh Horowitz took the opportunity to ask him about this rumored rejection. BILL! WHY U NO CAST JAMES FRANCO?

Bill, who is a very good sport about this whole thing, is happy to give us the actual scoop on what went down.

"He told a friend of mine, who then sent the message along to me," he said of learning about the Oscar-nominated actor's interest in the film. "And for a moment it was like, okay, what could James Franco play that wouldn't feel like 'Where's Waldo'?"

"The Twilight Saga" has not only busted box-office records, but it's also produced a trio of soundtracks that have predictably lived at the top of the charts. So while we're eagerly anticipating the series' closing cinematic chapters, we're also itching for a new, neatly wrapped package of ear candy as well.

Some good news for you fellow soundtrackphiles: When we caught up with "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" director Bill Condon at San Diego Comic-Con, he revealed that one of the film's stars will likely grace the soundtrack! Though, unsurprisingly, he wouldn't divulge who.

Now, in my mind, there are two main contenders for this honor: Robert Pattinson and Jackson Rathbone. Considering what Bill had to say about his vision for the finale ("I always thought of 'Breaking Dawn - Part 1' as a real companion piece to Catherine Hardwicke's movie... I think you'll find that there are stylistic and other nods to that film."), I'm leaning towards Rob. As you'll recall, the dreamboat had two moody numbers featured on the "Twilight" soundtrack, so if we're coming full circle...

Though co-star Jackson certainly shouldn't be counted out just yet. Jasper Hale's alter ego is part of the very real, very playful band 100 Monkeys, and he told us recently of the band's likelihood of appearing on the soundtrack, "it could happen."

But let's not forget dark horse Kristen Stewart. The starlet already has one soundtrack to her name—2010's "The Runaways," in which she plays (and sings as) rock goddess Joan Jett. Perhaps Bella has one angsty number inside of her? (Or maybe not...)

Of course, we can't completely eliminate the idea of an out-of-left-field pick like Ashley Greene or Kellan Lutz, but that seems pretty unlikely, don't you think?

So it's your turn, Crushers. Who do you think should appear on the "Breaking Dawn" soundtrack? Vote in our poll after the jump!

When we took an informal straw poll at San Diego Comic-Con asking "Twilight" fans which scenes they were hoping to peek at "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" panel, it came as no surprise that the sex scene was, um, tops. So you better believe when we got face time with the man behind the magic (i.e. director Bill Condon), we peppered him with plenty of questions about the squeal-inducing scenes.

First, we wanted to know who the scenes were more awkward for: him or actors Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

"It's probably most weird for them, I would imagine," he answered with a laugh. "But the thing is, they're so comfortable with each, so they made the whole thing—it was kind of fun."

Though the "Breaking Dawn" insanity ended relatively early during 2011's San Diego Comic-Con, getting a chance to chat with the majority of the fan-favorite cast was certainly among the high points of our coverage.

And in true "Twilight Saga" fashion, everyone from Robert Pattinson to director Bill Condon gave us some one-liners worth giggling over. A lube reference? Check. Falling in love with newborn babies? Check. Renaming the movie "Twilight Grows Up"? You betcha. So in case you missed any of our coverage over the past week, here's a handy list of our seven favorite quotes from the franchise's stars!

There's been a lot of anticipation to see Bella Swan's wedding dress in "Breaking Dawn," and according to Kristen Stewart, it took a heck of effort to keep it that way.

"The wedding was secret service style. It was insane. The crew was completely inconvenienced and grumbling around set," she said at the "Breaking Dawn" press conference at San Diego Comic-Con. She made sure to let them know she was thankful, saying, "You don't understand what this means to us, if this dress gets on the Internet I'll die."

Apparently there was a bit of a close call during the filming of the big scene where the wedding dress was almost caught by snooping cameras.

OH. MY. EDWARD. Let's talk about that "Breaking Dawn" trailer.

On Friday, we put together our wish list of things we hoped would be in the MTV Movie Awards teaser, and for the most part our desires came true. There was sex (because, really, how could there not be?), dramatic shirt-slinging and the best pregnancy reveal we've ever seen in a movie trailer. Can it be November 18 already please?

We went through the trailer and compiled a list of the five juiciest "Breaking Dawn" teasers, and trust me when I say some of them are enough to make even a vampire's blood run hot. Click on after the jump to check them out and make sure to watch that trailer over and over (and over and over) again.
