The kids were all right at the 2011 Golden Globes, but it looks like the Hollywood Foreign Press Association may have tucked them in early for this year's affair. With a silent film ("The Artist") and a widower ("The Descendants") dominating last night's ceremony, few of Hollywood Crush's favorites made it to the podium at all. That's not to say, however, that there weren't plenty of enjoyable tidbits and moments at the fete. From the George Clooney-Brad Pitt bromance to one adorable pooch, here are our five favorite things from the 2012 Golden Globes (in no particular order):
Charlize Theron's dress
The carpet was populated with plenty of pretty pink confections, but our favorite was Charlize Theron's daring Dior. With its plunging neck, thigh-high slit and dramatic train, the frock caught our eyes like none other at the awards ceremony. J'adore, Dior, indeed!

"Friends With Benefits" hits theaters Friday, and we simply can't wait to see Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis' on-screen chemistry (and those much-talked about butt shots of JT!). As part of the romantic comedy's ad campaign, the two stars have asked everyone to donate their FWB status via Facebook (watch the clip below!). But what exactly does such a relationship entail? We'll have to watch the movie to see Justin and Mila's take on it, but we do know that the duo swear over an iPad app of the Bible that it will be "no emotions, just sex."
Anyway, all this FWB talk got us thinking about other relationship acronyms and the celebrity couples who fit them LAG (like a glove, obvi). Keep reading after the jump for our run-down of the most important three-letter shorthands in Hollywood.

There’s no denying that Robert Pattinson is hot, but does he have what it takes to be the next Brad Pitt? "Water for Elephants" costume designer, Jacqueline West, who worked with Brad on "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," seems to think so.
"I think Brad would think so too," Jacqueline told us.
Jacqueline, who designed all of Rob's 1930s looks in "WFE" (including his new favorite pair of underpants!) said that similar to Brad, designing for Rob was a treat.

While this year's Academy Awards don't officially start until 8 p.m. ET on Sunday night, all eyes will be on our favorite celebs hours beforehand as they make their big arrivals. The red carpet can be the perfect time to debut a new 'do, a new beau, proudly flaunt a baby bump or stop photographers in their tracks with a dramatic gown. But while dreamy pairings like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt or Leonardo DiCaprio and Gisele Bündchen in years past have embodied the epitome of Oscar glamor, there's something to be said (or swooned over) about stars who bring unconventional dates like dear old mom or dad.
Hometown heroes Ben Affleck and Matt Damon were Oscar newbies in 1998, representing their gripping drama "Good Will Hunting." They shared their Best Original Screenplay award not only with the city of Boston, but their proud mamas Christine and Nancy.

Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth. Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied. LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian. Ginnifer Goodwin and Joey Kurn. Even Hugh Hefner got engaged over Christmas weekend. We appreciate all this love in the air after that depressing streak of splits, but we didn't know Hollywood was so affected by the holiday spirit!
Let's keep this passion alive! More and more celebs are looking to make their way down the aisle with each passing day, so we've compiled our wish list of Hollywood couples we hope pop the question after the jump. Who knows, maybe one of our wishes will come true?

Crushers, we hope you had a wonderfully relaxing Christmas and received every little thing your heart desired! While we were busy indulging in Christmas dinner, putting our pop-culture presents to good use and avoiding this horrific blizzard sweeping the East Coast, our favorite celebrities were getting into the holiday spirit as well. And, as a little belated present to you guys, we're giving you a neatly wrapped recap of all their crazy holiday shenanigans.

Let's start off with the bad news. Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson officially filed for divorce, but fortunately they still remain great friends. But that depressing announcement was balanced by news that "Big Love" and "He's Just Not That Into You" star Ginnifer Goodwin got engaged to her boyfriend Joey Kern!

If you're planning on seeing an animated Brad Pitt, Will Ferrell and Tina Fey this weekend in the new 3D flick "Megamind," you're in for a treat (well, besides listening to Brad's smooth voice!) Chu annouced on his Twitter today, "Never Say Never trailer premieres in front of Megamind starting today and in 3D!!!! Go to a theater and see it on a ginormous screen."
Of course, if you're feeling up for a double feature, Janet Jackson (pictured) is hoping you'll check out her latest movie, "For Colored Girls." "Due Date" isn't expected in theaters until tomorrow, but already some celebs are raving about the buddy comedy starring Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis. Earlier in the week, musician Rob Thomas attended the premiere, and today he told followers, "RDJ and ZG in DUE DATE, great pair. But RDJ in anything, I mean, come on." Rocker Mark Hoppus checked out the flick, as well, tweeting, ""due date" made me laugh till my face fell off. totally true story, except the face-falling-off part."
Of course, "Due Date" will have some competition at the box office this weekend as it faces off against the animated 3-D film "Megamind." That movie held its premiere in New York City last night, and star Brad Pitt (pictured) was in attendance! Actress Melissa Joan Hart desperately wanted to get a glimpse of the live-action Brad at the screening, as she posted, "Was hoping for my first Brad Pitt sighting last night but he just waved in the back of the theatre in the dark. Oh well!" Colton Haynes still managed to have a mega good time and wrote, "Had a blast... at the megamind premiere, junk food and our fake tattoos...fun movie."

We'll admit, we're taking the news of Courteney Cox and David Arquette's breakup pretty badly. Okay, so it's not like we know them personally, but after seeing the pair on magazines covers and screens big and small for basically the last 14 years, we really thought that they were one of the few Hollywood couples that would make it. So when they announced yesterday that they were separated, and had been for a while, we were understandably a bit shocked. Their split (and the closely following news of Christina Aguilera parting ways with hubby Jordan Bratman) got us thinking about other couples who have called it quits. After all, this isn't the first tough breakup we've been through with Hollywood. Here are five other pairs we loved who surprised us by splitting.

Despite the fact "Eat Pray Love" hasn't gotten the most love from critics, the overwhelming consensus is that Julia Roberts carries her weight in the film. And that seems to be what keeps audiences coming back for more.
Over the past 22 years, be it in "Pretty Woman," the "Oceans" trilogy, "Charlotte's Web" or "Erin Brockovich," Julia and has always been one of America's leading sweethearts (maybe that's why they gave her a lead in that movie?).
