Ever since her directorial talents brought the "The Twilight Saga" to life back in 2008, we've been keeping close tabs on Catherine Hardwicke—and not just because she's still holding onto those uncensored early audition tapes of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, either. Catherine's flair for the visual and skillful handling of young actors has made her a coveted choice for studios everywhere, and her movies have an unmistakable appeal.

But while she might be best known around here for launching Kristen Stewart into the spotlight, looks like we'll next see Catherine in the company of a pre-established international superstar. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Noomi Rapace, who set the bar for portrayals of Lisbeth Salander in the Swedish version of "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo," has brought her on board for a pet project: a biopic of 1960s Swedish diva Anita Lindblom. (Groovy!)

With Catherine's eye and such great source material, we can't wait to see how she realizes mid-century Scandinavia on the big screen. And if you love the look and feel of her films, you're in luck, because there's a whole lot more where that came from. Here's a rundown of her rumored projects:

Missed "Red Riding Hood" in the theaters? No problem. Catherine Hardwicke's take on the fairy tale classic hits DVD today, and the director herself told Hollywood Crush that there are a lot of new surprises.

"I think it's pretty fun. We had fun in the editing room making some neat little clips and music videos and a gag reel and definitely want people to see it," she explained. "And the new ending."

No spoilers here, but Catherine said that if fans like the original ending then they will love the new one. "We liked them both. We thought either of them could be really fun," she said. "I liked them both and you get a choice this way. You can choose which way you want to go. This one's a little more sexier too. It's not completely new, but it has twist; It’s a little bit sexier, wilder."

Thankfully, you no longer have to make the treacherous trek to Grandmother's house to visit "Red Riding Hood"—the Catherine Hardwicke-directed fairy tale fantasy hits Blu-ray today! Starring Amanda Seyfried, Max Irons and Shiloh Fernandez, this gothic re-imagining has enough action, romance and intrigue to inspire multiple viewings.

In celebration of the flick coming to a living room near you, we've got an EXCLUSIVE cut from the LOLZ-worthy blooper reel. Though Valerie, Peter and Henry may live in a medieval village, there's plenty of modern-day bleeps flying when the stars flub their lines, get snagged on set pieces and take not-so-scenic trips.

Once Catherine Hardwicke's gothic re-imagining of the classic "Little Red Riding Hood" fairy tale hits theaters (today, people!), the imaginative helmer will have a fairly open schedule—with no shortage of rumored projects in the early stages of pre-production.

One film we're definitely keeping our eyes on is the big-screen adaptation of James Dashner's dystopian YA novel "The Maze Runner." The last we heard, the "Twilight" director was in negotiations to bring the glade to life and "The Buried Life" executive producer Noah Oppenheim had signed on as the screenwriter. So when MTV News' Josh Horowitz caught up with Catherine at the junket for "Red Riding Hood," he tried to weasel a bit of scoop out of her. (Emphasis on tried—that Catherine is a pro at giving vague answers!)

"That's a fun one that we're working on right now," she said of "Maze Runner." "We're working on the script and the visual ideas of that. That would be cool."

While actress Amanda Seyfried doesn't think—or want moviegoers to think, for that matter—that her new movie, "Red Riding Hood" is just a new variation of "Twilight," there's one aspect of the saga she's happy to be associated with: director Catherine Hardwicke.

MTV News sat down with Amanda to discuss "Red Riding Hood," and when we got to the topic of why she chose to sign on to the project, it turns out one of the biggest reasons was Catherine.

"When I found out Catherine Hardwicke was directing it I thought, 'She's got this incredible, youthful imagination'," Amanda said, adding, "Who better to direct than Catherine?"

In fact, after Catherine showed her some sketches of what "Red Riding Hood" would look like (which, in the final product, resulted in a very fairy tail-esque world with both touches of color and gothic inspiration), Amanda was sold.

It seems that Amanda Seyfried gets lucky in the co-star department. Her latest flick, "Red Riding Hood," features one dark haired cutie that we can't get out of our brains. Shiloh Fernandez's hotness has earned him a place as this week's Hump Day Hottie. (We're also sending a shout out to fellow "Riding Hood" co-star and hottie Max Irons!)

Check out this dreamy photo of Shiloh, and then keep reading for more details about him!

Vital stats: The 26-year-old grew up in Ukiah, California, and he worked as a model for American Apparel before his Hollywood career picked up. We're hardly surprised he was a model. I mean, have you looked at him?

When it comes to "Twilight"-related urban legends and lore, none is more infamous than the mysterious Case of the Unseen Audition Tapes—a.k.a. the unreleased reels of footage that show Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart testing out their, uh, on-screen chemistry. But if you were hoping to one day feast your eyes on that behind-the-scenes first look at Edward and Bella in flagrante, we've got bad news: Director Catherine Hardwicke chatted with MTV News' Josh Horowitz, and she informed him that those videos will never, ever see the light of day...because releasing them would bring on nothing less than a full-on apocalypse.

"It's much too dangerous!" Catherine said. "It would start riots, honestly, if we let it out there."

But... but... NOOOOOOO! Can't we just see a teensy little clip? Just five seconds? Three seconds?! How about just one, glorious, mind-erasing frame in which Robert Pattinson may or may not be partially nude???!

"Little Red Riding Hood" was never a fairy tale of the Prince Charming variety, so it must have taken a bit of imagination to picture it as the basis of a heart-stopping romantic adventure story with a compelling love triangle. But the folks behind "Red Riding Hood" had a few tricks up their sleeves to bring us to their way of thinking: First, they hired "Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke and Edward Cullen contender Shiloh Fernandez. Then they did a little slight of hand to bring in the young-adult novel fans by releasing a novelization of David Leslie Johnson's screenplay weeks before the movie's release this Friday.

In the intro to the "enhanced" ebook version of "Red Riding Hood," Catherine describes how she's known young author Sarah Blakley-Cartwright since she was 13 and even cast her in small roles in some of her films (she's credited in "Thirteen" and "Lords of Dogtown"). So, right after Sarah graduated from college (Barnard represent!), Catherine recruited her to write a novel that would examine the backstories of the characters and "fully explore the tangled web of emotions in the village of Daggorhorn." To write the book, Sarah visited the set, interviewed the actors and even danced across the hot coals set up for a party scene in the movie.

Rumors connecting "Twilight" star Kristen Stewart and a certain fairest of them all (no, we're not talking about Robert Pattinson), have been circulating for months, but after a "Snow White and the Huntsman" producer confirmed via his Twitter page that Kristen was in final negotiations for the titular lead, it seems all but certain she'll face-off against evil Queen Grimhilde.

One Hollywood heavyweight throwing her support behind Kristen is her former "Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke. E! Online spoke to the "Red Riding Hood" helmer, who said the role was a princessly fit for the 20-year-old actress. "I love it," Catherine gushed. "She's going to be a bad ass, learning how to hunt. That is perfect for Kristen! She's a kick-ass chick. She's going to do good in that."

Some endorsement, right? If KStew's loyal fan base gets half as excited about this project as Catherine seems to be, we could have a mega-blockbuster on our hands. But that raises an important question: Does Kristen have your support for Snow White? Vote in our poll after the jump!
