One door closes but another door opens—even when that "door" is a coffin lid!
OK, so the vampires of Mystic Falls don't really sleep in coffins (though they do often sleep with each other! Zing!), but we really wanted to make that sentence happen. Even as "The Twilight Saga" draws to a close in theaters, one vamp veteran is headed to the other supernatural romance based on a series of books, "The Vampire Diaries."
Charlie Bewley, known to Team Edward and Team Jacob members alike as the villainous Volturi Demetri, is headed to "The Vampire Diaries" in this season's 13th episode, E! News reports. The 31-year-old London-born actor will play Vaughn, whom casting folks described as "ruggedly handsome, charming, built and tough as hell." The E! News report also noted that an actor with an accent was preferred for the role. Perhaps he'll play one of The Five? Hmm.
"Twilight" stars Ashley Greene, Jackson Rathbone, Nikki Reed and Charlie Bewley all convened at the Buckhead Theatre in Atlanta last night to jump start "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" concert tour alongside soundtrack artist Christina Perri.
In addition to a performance of "A Thousand Years" by Christina, the cast fielded a slew of fan questions and signed autographs and took pictures outside of the venue.

"Like Crazy" may look a bit like the younger, gentler cousin of "Blue Valentine," but the film—centered on the long-distance romance between Londoner Anna (Felicity Jones) and American Jacob (Anton Yelchin)—is far less devastating.
Aside from the beautifully minimalist camerawork, heartstring-pulling performances and impressive improvisation-fueled dialogue, the sweet take on modern love boasts myriad grounds for setting your heart aflutter. Here are five solid reasons you’ll go crazy for “Like Crazy.”
"Like Crazy" writer-director Drake Doremus took a gamble casting relatively unknown actress Felicity Jones, based solely on an audition tape the 27-year-old made in her London flat—a gamble that is paying off in spades. His indie, about a young couple torn apart after she overstays her visa and is deported, won the Grand Jury Prize for best film at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, and the trailer debuted online yesterday to much deserved buzz.
For his part, Drake is more than happy to share the credit with Felicity and the rest of his young cast, which includes Anton Yelchin, Academy Award nominee Jennifer Lawrence and "Twilight" actor Charlie Bewley.
"She is this movie," Drake said of Felicity. "It was just a total gut call [casting her]. I had never even seen her with Anton. I didn't even know if they'd have chemistry. But she was the right person for this. This was probably one of the best decisions I've ever made in my career."
It's December 23, or as many people on Twitter were calling it, including Daniella Monet, "Merry Christmas Eve Eve." With just two days left, some celebs were finishing up the final details like Adrienne Bailon who told followers, "Done with all my christmas shopping Now its time to wrap them... Ugh. Lol." Stephanie Pratt was also doing some last minute shopping and admitted, "Going shopping in a Christmas sweater... Don't judge me."
Elsewhere Hilary Duff (pictured) was simply ready for the big event and tweeted, "Ooooo christmas is coming! Get your greedy little hands ready to tear into those packages!!" as Charlie Bewley braved the holiday travel with flying colors as he informed fans, "No snow in Dallas... We're looking good."

Want to spend your hard-earned money on "Eclipse" merchandise, but sad there's no customized, "Twilight"-approved currency option available for Twihards such as yourself? Well, be sad no longer — Summit Entertainment has signed a deal with "teen finance solution" MYPLASH Prepaid Cards (works the same way as a gift card!) to create a licensed series of reloadable, prepaid gift cards emblazoned with "Eclipse" images. Now you can buy "Twilight"-branded merchandise WITH a piece of "Twilight"-branded merchandise!
The cards, which will be available to purchase on the MYPLASH site, come in nine different styles: two varieties of the "Twilight" trinity (Trio Far and Trio Close), solo shots of Edward, Bella, Jacob, and Rosalie (yes, random — she's the only other Cullen with her own card), the three Volturi men (Felix, Alec, and Demetri — no Jane! — Volturi Group, officially), the entire Cullen Group (including Edward), and the entire Wolf Pack Family (including Leah Clearwater and Emily).
As if today weren't exciting enough, Apple also debuted a brand spanking new scene of "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse." No, it doesn't include Edward, which we're assuming is because Summit is giving Robert Pattinson 24 hours off "Twilight" hysteria for his 24th birthday, but it is a new scene with the Volturi that is exclusive to the film.
It looks like the Volturi will have a lot more screen time in the film than they do in the novel, where they only appear at the end after Edward has spoiler alert! killed Victoria. In the novel, Jane (Dakota Fanning) and company make it seem as though they were uninvolved in the entire newborn vampire army affair until they make their appearance in Forks, but here it looks as though they were aware of the crisis from the beginning.
Since Bonnie Wright and Jamie Campbell Bower transitioned pretty quickly from confirmed relationship to engaged-after-eight-months, we're guessing "Here Comes The Bride" isn't too far off either.
If you've ever read a post on Hollywood Crush than you know that we're big fans of both "Twilight" and "Harry Potter," so we figured we'd do our part to help in the wedding-planning process. We have watched "The Wedding Planner" on numerous occasions, after all, so consider us certified experts.
For the third and final part to our exclusive interview with the woman behind the "New Moon" wardrobe closet, costume designer Tish Monaghan, we're heading to Volterra, Italy where beneath the Tuscan sunshine lives a coven of vampires who posesses incredible power ... and style. After you venture to Europe, don't forget to travel back to Forks for our look at the costumes of Edward and Bella and Jacob and the Cullens.
TIME AND PUNISHMENT
Tish’s starting off point for creating the look of (very old) Volturi? “What I did originally was go back as far in antiquity as I could to where there were visual representations of judicial gowns in sculptures and paintings. I wanted to find something that the audience would recognize as an official robe, but still have the flavor of the 14th or 15th century.” The heavy wool robes were made by the costume department, though each had a different kind of trim and sleeve detail.
The "Twilight Saga" has become to go-to place for Hump Day Hottie's (see: Jamie Campbell-Bower), and just hotties in general. Hello, R-Pattz and Taylor! And, with "New Moon" rising into theaters this Friday, it seems like the right time to honor one of the new kids on the block, Charlie Bewley. He may play an old vamp, but he's just fresh enough on the screen to be honored.
Press play on the video below to see more of Charlie, and then keep reading for more details about him.
Vital Stats: To be honest, Charlie is a bit of an enigma — there isn't much out there about his personal life. But, when he was told about his HDH status he seemed genuinely excited."Out of everyone in the world, I'm the hottest?" he asked with a laugh before sincerely thanking Hollywood Crush for the accolade during the "New Moon" mall tour stop in New Jersey. He, of course, then leaned over towards costar Daniel Cudmore and bragged before insisting, "I'm pretty sure it's well deserved for the amount of time I spend primping and preening."
