May the fourth be with you! Get it? May the 4th. Thanks to this fun little pun, today is "Star Wars" day, and some of our favorite stars embraced their inner geek (virtually, at least) to tweet in celebration of the occasion. "New Moon" actor Chaske Spencer (pictured) tweeted a favorite quote from the original trilogy, "Its Star Wars status day, right? Ok so here's mine; Leia "I love you!" Han Solo "I know" - Empire Strikes Back." Liz Lee, whose Twitter background screams "'Star Wars' fan!" tweeted some all-caps-worthy excitement. "#MAYTHEFOURTHBEWITHYOU HAPPY #STARWARS day 'errbody!!!"
In (slightly) more down-to-earth news, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon announced the names of their twins today: Moroccan and Monroe. The proud parents took to Twitter to share the news. Mariah tweeted the news with the #dembabies hashtag, saying, "Mariah & Nick reveal the names of #dembabies Monroe Cannon & Moroccan Scott Cannon! Read more @ http://mariahcarey.com/news/32701." Nick was a little more subtle, hinting at possible nicknames for the twins with his, "ROC & ROE! LET'S GO!" tweet.

The problem of "white washing" or "facepainting" — having a white actor play a role meant for someone of a different ethnicity — is not new to Hollywood, but that doesn't mean that it's come any less under fire in recent years (read this for a really good essay on the subject). Just this year, M. Night Shyamalan's "The Last Airbender" has received a lot of flack for starring white actors in the film's three lead roles intended for Asians, and "Prince of Persia" came under fire for having its Persian prince be played by the very white Jake Gyllenhaal.
"Twilight" even received some criticism for casting Taylor Lautner, an actor from Dutch, French and German descent, as the film's main Native American character, Jacob Black. While Taylor does claim to have some Native American blood, Summit Entertainment went out of their way to cast Native American actors as the rest of the Quilete wolf pack when "New Moon" came out, and Chaske Spencer acknowledges what a blessing it is that he was cast. What's better than getting pretty much the entire cast of "Eclipse" on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" all on the same night? Getting pretty much the entire cast on the show, having the men and ladies of "Jersey Shore" remake the films (more on this later!), and having the Twi-crazed audience boo Justin Beiber, that's what.
And while we still need to teach Summit that "exclusive, never before seen" clips don't include scenes that we have seen most of in trailers, we've got to say that Jimmy's Total Eclipse of the Heart episode was a total win in our books.

If you already have your ticket to go see "Eclipse" opening night (and about six times between Wednesday and Sunday), then chances are you don't need an "Eclipse" cheat sheet.
But The Los Angeles Times, who has always had some pretty great coverage of "The Twilight Saga," decided to create one anyway for all those other potential ticket buyers out there whose disinterest caused "New Moon" to have such short-lived box office power.

It's old news that, for some crazy reason, the cast and crew of "Twilight" originally didn't realize that the film would be a hit. Two sequels and over $1.1 billion worldwide later (with more sure to come with the release of "Eclipse"), it seems like the cast is still trying to maintain a back-up plan if acting doesn't work out: music.
This week, we got word that newcomer BooBoo Stewart released a new single called "Rainy Day" on iTunes, and it got us thinking about all the other musically inclined stars of the film. They far outnumber the rest of the cast, it seems.
Oh, and if you're wondering about that picture of Taylor Lautner to the right, we'll get to that in a moment!

Werewolf teenage boys are apparently not all that different from their human counterparts! As seen in a new "Eclipse" clip, Jacob's (Taylor Lautner) good ole furry pals give him nothing but hell when he brings his dream girl, Bella (Kristen Stewart), over from enemy territory (his, at least) to his home in La Push.
It's there where she first meets Leah Clearwater (Julia Jones), who clearly has no desire to make Bella feel comfortable. "If you're here to torture Jacob some more, feel free to leave," Leah snaps. "Fun, isn't she?" Jacob, who is the only one of the pack to be fully clothed, retorts sarcastically.

With the MTV Movie Awards just four days away the stars are asking the all-important question leading up to the event: What to wear?! Nicky Hilton realized time was of the essence, posting, "Must find a dress for the MTV Movie Awards asap! Only a few days away." Meanwhile, "New Moon" star Chaske Spencer, who will be acting as the MTV International red carpet correspondent, howled out to followers for help:"Heading to a fitting for the MTV Movie Awards - got any ideas on what i should wear?"
Elsewhere, Russell Brand, who, alongside fiancee Katy Perry, is scheduled to attend the awards, was busy promoting his upcoming comedy "Get Him To The Greek" on Twitter, asking fans the question, "Who's that on the cover of Rolling Stone? http://bit.ly/bjuSnO." Even Snoop Dogg helped promote the flick, writing, "make sure n checc out #GETHIMTOTHEGREEK got my homeyz @iamdiddy n Jonah Hill n there n it is off tha chain jacc!!!!"

Want to spend your hard-earned money on "Eclipse" merchandise, but sad there's no customized, "Twilight"-approved currency option available for Twihards such as yourself? Well, be sad no longer — Summit Entertainment has signed a deal with "teen finance solution" MYPLASH Prepaid Cards (works the same way as a gift card!) to create a licensed series of reloadable, prepaid gift cards emblazoned with "Eclipse" images. Now you can buy "Twilight"-branded merchandise WITH a piece of "Twilight"-branded merchandise!

The cards, which will be available to purchase on the MYPLASH site, come in nine different styles: two varieties of the "Twilight" trinity (Trio Far and Trio Close), solo shots of Edward, Bella, Jacob, and Rosalie (yes, random — she's the only other Cullen with her own card), the three Volturi men (Felix, Alec, and Demetri — no Jane! — Volturi Group, officially), the entire Cullen Group (including Edward), and the entire Wolf Pack Family (including Leah Clearwater and Emily).

It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are going to be on hand as presenters this year at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards. After all, it's been a staple since the highly-anticipated release of "Twilight" two years back that the three make an appearance at the awards show. And, as they have in the past, they will be presenting a brand-spanking new clip from the upcoming "Twilight Saga" film "Eclipse."
In addition, MTV has announced that Chaske Spencer will serve as the official MTV International "2010 MTV Movie Awards" guest red carpet correspondent. This will be part of a special edition of "MTV At The Movies," which aims to "bring audiences outside the U.S. closer to the 'MTV Movie Awards.'" That should be good news to all you international fans — we know there are a ton of you! — because not only will you get to see the best parts of the Movie Awards, but you will also be doing so with the help of the sexy and wonderful Chaske, though unfortunately he is not going to be a part of the national pre-show coverage.
