It's a pivotal moment when an actor from a show you love does something as life changing as cutting his or her hair. So when we found out "Criminal Minds" star Matthew Gray Gubler made that ever-important decision to embrace the scissors, we had to find out why.
"I didn’t have to [cut it for the finale, but] I just did because I know these are always two-parters, so if you want to do something you do it before the finale. So one day I cut it and then told [the producers]," he said, joking that it was almost as scandalous as when Keri Russell cut her hair during "Felicity." "I think it was a little! I've been hearing since day one, 'Cut your hair!' and then finally I did it."

Last week Matthew Gray Gubler directed a very creepy episode of "Criminal Minds" entitled "Mosley Lane," and this week the star of the hit CBS procedural drama turns 30. Thus, we here at Hollywood Crush, who honored the crime-fighting babe as 2009's Hump Day Hottie of the Year (press play below to relive his original HDH video), extend the warmest birthday wishes to the man who makes grandpa sweaters look so good.
It seems that much like our invitation to Stephen Moyer's wedding to Anna Paquin, our invite to Matthew's big birthday bash has also gotten lost in the mail. That's fine, we'll forgive him for it... eventually.
You can wish Matthew a happy birthday in the comments section below!

The holidays are over and now all you want in the New Year (besides to keep up with your resolutions) is for all your favorite TV shows to come back so you don't have to suffer through any more "O.C." reruns on Soap Net. We know what you're thinking: When will "One Tree Hill" return? What about "Vampire Diaries"? When will I be able to see Joshua Jackson on "Fringe" again? No worries, we here at Hollywood Crush are listening and have made a handy guide for you to know when to start tuning in again!
With January in full swing this week we've already seen the return of "Brothers and Sisters," "Desperate Housewives," "The Secret Life of the American Teenager," "Heroes" and "The Good Wife." But things will certainly heat up as the month continues. Into crime and intrigue? On January 12 "Southland" returns, "American Idol" will come back with a new judge (that doesn't really fit into crime, but we're definitely seeing lots of drama there) and January 13 we delve into the minds of more weirdos (along with our 2009 Hump Day Hottie Of The Year, Matthew Gray Gubler) when "Criminal Minds" returns.

Werewolves are really, really hot right now. In fact, hot werewolves are even, well, hotter. So, it was inevitable that a TV version of the classic 80's flick, "Teen Wolf," which starred primo 80's star, Michael J. Fox, would be coming to a small screen in the near future. And, now the reboot has put a name to the token teen wolf's face.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the MTV series has found its star in Tyler Posey (pictured), who is best known for starring in the ABC Family series "Lincoln Heights" and for playing Jennifer Lopez's precocious little boy in the 2002 rom com "Maid in Manhattan." Other names added to the cast list include: Tyler Hoechlin, Crystal Reed and Dylan O'Brien. "Criminal Minds" creator Jeff Davis will be writing the pilot — and we already know he is very capable of working with attractive guys! Matthew Gray Gubler anyone?

Though "New Moon" dominated the box office for weeks, the theater wasn't the only place to find Edward, Bella and Jacob making a splash. It seems some of our favorite TV shows are just as obsessed with Stephenie Meyer's fantastical creation as we are. In honor of "Twilight" star Taylor Lautner's hosting gig on this weekend's "Saturday Night Live" (and in the hopes that we'll have another entry to add to this list), we've rounded up 10 totally "Twilight" TV shoutouts (in no particular order).
1. "The Office"
The NBC series gets not one, but two gold new moons—see what I did there?—for their hilarious "Twilight" twofer. The first took place during the Halloween episode "Koi Pond" when the employees of Dunder Mifflin organized a haunted house featuring two bloodsuckers—a traditional Count Dracula (Creed Bratton) and one we can only assume was meant to be Edward Cullen (B.J. Novak). When the Count cries "I want to suck your blood!" Edward (a.k.a. Ryan) responds, "That's really not the trend in vampires right now." So true! And then, just last night, Jim (John Krasinski) bought Kelly (Mindy Kaling) an Edward Cullen poster. We knew we loved this show for a reason!

Congrats to "Criminal Minds" for celebrating its 100th episode at a cast party last night in Los Angeles. We assume Hollywood Crush's invitation got lost in the mail and we forgive you. And just to show there's no hard feelings we want to remind you guys we love the show and the smoking hot guys on it.
Shemar Moore you are a pleasure week after week as Morgan, the playboy FBI profiler on the show. And, you are the perfect guy to star alongside TV's hottest nerd and Hump Day Hottie alumnus, Matthew Gray Gubler as Dr. Reid.

So "Criminal Minds" may not be the most Crushworthy of TV shows since it's about criminal profilers, and, well, that's not at all that sexy. But, if you happen to be one of the people who do tune in week after week to see what kinds of crimes that team can solves then you'll know there's a hidden gem of in the midst. That's why this week we want you to get to know "CM" star Matthew Gray Gubler as our Hump Day Hottie.
Press play on the video below to see more of Matthew, and then keep reading for more killer details about him.
Vital Stats: The 29-year-old Las Vegas native is admittedly socially awkward and identifies very deeply with "Curb Your Enthusiasm" star Larry David. "I've never watched a show where I'm literally like good grief," he said of his idol. "It's like watching video footage of my life."
