Ever since “Twilight Saga” star Billy Burke told us about the cameo of new wave rocker Peter Murphy in “Eclipse,” fans have been trying to figure out where his Spanish vampire will fit into director David Slade’s movie. So, when we caught up with series screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, we had her shed some light on the dark flashback involving the former Bauhaus frontman.

“That’s cool, I didn’t know he was playing it,” she said of the scene, remembering it in the script but unaware that Peter had been cast in the role. “That’s one of the great things about ‘Eclipse,’ is that Stephenie [Meyer] goes into some of the backstories of ‘How did the wolves come to be?’ and ‘How did Rosalie come to be?’ and ‘How did Jasper come to be?’”

With "New Moon" opening Friday and "Eclipse" due June 2010, it seems about time we cast our gaze forward to "Breaking Dawn." And no, it's not too early. Sure, the big screen adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's forth (and for now final) vampire romance has yet to be announced, but that didn't stop us from asking star Taylor Lautner about the "Twilight Saga"'s larger-than-life finale.

"I'm looking forward to the whole pack splitting up, that could be cool," the 19-year-old said, revealing which scene he is most excited to film for "Breaking Dawn." Taylor wasn't quite so sure, however, who should direct the last installment.

That's a wrap, folks! Yes, "Eclipse" has officially finished filming (we don't have to get sad yet, we still have "Breaking Dawn," after all) according to the movie's director David Slade. David announced via his Twitter early this morning, "Twilight Eclipse officially wrapped shooting, at 4.30 am October 29th. Physically and emotionally exhausted. DAVID S." We can hardly wait to see the finished product!

Of course, the "Eclipse" crew weren't the only ones with a reason to celebrate today. Britney Spears (pictured) passed a landmark of her own today. Brit's crew told fans on her Twitter page, "Congrats @BritneySpears for becoming the #2 most followed person on Twitter!"

While some in Hollywood are passing benchmarks (both big and little), some stars are simply looking forward to Halloween! Reality star Kourtney Kardashian cried, "halloween is almost here! " and singer Kellie Pickler could hardly contain her excitement, "Putting my HALLOWEEN costume 2gether for @theellenshow!!!!!! This is going to be the BEST HALLOWEEN EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BOO!!!" Though, some stars, like basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal, seem to have a completely different holiday on their minds. As Shaq declared, "Shaq-A-Claus is coming to town!

Today could have very well been claimed Taylor Lautner Thursday on Twitter (we could go for that every week, as a matter of fact!) with how much our beloved Jacob was talked about. "Eclipse" director David Slade tweeted about filming, "Yesterday Taylor had to carry Kristen for several hours, he held it together - hope he can lift his arms today. Rain dumped on us all day." As if we needed another reason to be jealous of K-Stew! Elsewhere, Ryan Seacrest was out to get some information about his next possible project, reporting, "Seeing queen latifah in a bit to find out why she is apprently doing a project with taylor lautner from new moon!"

While Taylor takes over the movie world, it seems "Glee" is all the rage on TV (again!). Girls, is it a struggle to get your significant other to accompany you to the multiplex once you've uttered the words "vampire," "Edward" or "Bella"? Well, according to "Twilight" star Ashley Greene, that battle might get a little easier when it comes time to buy tickets for "Eclipse."

Whereas "Twilight" and the upcoming "New Moon" focus more on the romantic aspects of the vampire saga, Ashley says director David Slade's vision for the third film is darker and a bit gorier.

So Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart may have failed to walk the red carpet at last night's VMAs, but that doesn't mean we were any less pumped to get the chance to get up close and personal with Taylor Lautner before the big show began. In light of the highly anticipated release of the exclusive extended “New Moon” trailer, you'd better believe we asked the werewolf to give us some teasers. Ladies, say it with us: shirtless Jacob and Edward.

Taylor modestly brushed off his “New Moon” exposure, explaining that fans “might start crying” in bad way during his shirtless scenes. As if anyone would shun his ab-awesomeness. Taylor went on to say that co-star RPattz has certainly given him a run for his money this time around. “[Rob's] getting some muscle. Some good competition… He’s got it covered.” We bet he does. In the video below, the real-life Jacob also discusses the third piece of vampire gold, “Eclipse," which as we all know, is currently filming up in Vancouver under the watchful eye of new director David Slade. From the sounds of it, Slade is going to deliver adoring fans another blockbuster champ.

If you're not already following "Eclipse" director David Slade (@David_a_Slade) on Twitter, we bet you will be after you read this post! David joined the micro-blogging site back in July and has been offering behind-the-scenes scoop ever since. In fact, he even recently posted a few Twitpics from the set, including one incredibly cool shot (pictured, right) of Taylor Lautner mid-flip.

We already knew about Taylor's mad gymnastic skills thanks to his brand new Teen Vogue cover story, but it's pretty awesome to see it captured in this way amidst the mystical foliage of "Forks." This is the second Taylor shot David's posted, the first, which was posted yesterday, was a seriously dreamy shot of the shapeshifter during a camera lighting session, though David noted in his caption "Not a whisker in sight."
