It's no secret that Demi Lovato is back on the Hollywood scene after dropping off the map briefly in late 2010; first there was her hard-to-miss appearance in that dress at the Latin Grammy Awards, and now she's the cover girl for February's Seventeen! But while Demi is clearly happy, healthy and back on track after her time in rehab, she's not afraid of some Real Talk about the rough patch she went through to get here—and in her feature interview, she opens up about just how bad things got and which famous ladies helped her on her way to getting well.

When asked about the problems she faced a year ago, Demi is blunt: "I’m not gonna lie. I was self-medicating. I was doing things like drinking and using [drugs], like a lot of teens do to numb their pain."

And between her substance abuse and confessed struggle with an eating disorder, there's no doubt that she had a lot of work to do before she could fully heal—but now, she says, she's beaten her demons.

The autumn leaves are afire, and our fave Hollywood starlets are doing their best to compete—pulling out all the stops with glorious corals, crush crimsons and other punched-up shades of scarlet that make the red carpet look drab by comparison. And this week's Style Superstar was the best red-dressed of all, with a sharp coral frock that really popped. Who scored our win this week? And whose magenta madness went a tad too far? Holler!

Emma Stone has taken home Style Superstar honors before, but we had to make her a multiple recipient for her look at the Natural History Museum Gala this week. This Carven gown, in a lush orange-red, looked absolutely stunning against Emma's skin and matched perfectly with her auburn locks. This is a bold color choice for a redhead, but the sheer paneling on the front of the dress lets the actress' pale skin show through and keeps the dress from being overwhelmingly bright. And with berry-colored lips and peachy-bronzed cheeks, Emma's pretty palette in this dress is a winner in every way.

It’s Halloween—everyone’s favorite time of the year to dress up as someone entirely different! We hope you all have your costumes ready, but if by chance you don’t (you only have a few hours left!), Demi Lovato gave us some advice of what not to wear when going trick-or-treating.

"They should put on clothes. Put on clothes!" Demi exclaimed. "Girls that walk around with skimpy little costumes, don’t do that! It’s not cute, cover it up!"

Selena GomezIf you were to ask us what the two best words to describe Selena Gomez were, "Hot Mess" would not be the first two that came to mind. (Personally, we'd go with "Always Flawless.") But, the word on the street is that Selena is being considered for the lead in a film by that name.

Famed music video director and VMA winner Dave Meyers (who has worked with Britney Spears, Pink, Katy Perry and Jennifer Lopez) is in talks to direct the flick with Selena in talks to star. Deadline reports that starlets are clamoring for the chance to get a role in the film, which centers around four young women who are "desperately trying to avoid becoming the hot messes they are destined to be."

Ashley GreeneAfter three years' worth of "Twilight" films and comparatively few sightings of the saga's supporting actors in the wild, it's sometimes easy to forget that Ashley Greene is not actually a red-eyed, mop-haired, clairvoyant member of the undead. But here's a good reminder that the actress who plays Alice Cullen is, in real life, a grade-A hottie and generally normal human being: She's Allure magazine's November cover girl! And inside, she offers up a few choice quotes about her early years in Hollywood, her "Twilight" co-star and whether or not she really and truly is feuding with Demi Lovato.

The answer to that last one, by the way, is absolutely not.

"I’m really happy that she’s doing well," Ashley said, explaining that the rumored angst between her and the Disney star was all just a bunch of media hooey. "She and I never had a problem with each other, but, you know, it doesn’t go away... Jen Aniston still gets asked about Angelina Jolie."

Selena Gomez is set to appear as our special pre-show correspondent at the 2011 Video Music Awards this Sunday. She’ll be reporting live from the black carpet when the show goes live from sunny L.A., and a slew of A-listers are set to walk the carpet and party it up at the biggest music bash of the year.

This week, we caught up with Selena’s pal, Demi Lovato, at a fan meet and greet, and she was pretty sure that Selena could handle the hosting gig without any additional words of wisdom from her. "I have no advice because I’ve never hosted anything in my life," the "Skyscraper" singer said with a laugh.

Okay, so Demi may not have any advice for Bieber’s best gal, but she did have this to say about her Disney cohort: "But she's great; she'll do fine."

We like to shake things up here in Style Superstar land. Sometimes, we honor celebs with consistently killer style, like Emma Watson and Nina Dobrev. Other times, we recognize stars who burst onto our radar after sporting a fabulous outfit, like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley or Rosa Byrne. This week, we’re rewarding one of young Hollywood’s finest celebs for pulling a phenomenal fashion 180: teen queen Miley Cyrus.

Miley’s made headlines for some very revealing outfits on her recent world tour, but she emerged at a benefit for the Starkey Hearing Foundation in Minnesota this week wearing a stunning, sophisticated and, yes, very sexy black dress. The asymmetrical, one-sleeved gown fits her rockin’ bod like a glove. It’s mature, but with hot orange nails, subtle bikini top tan lines and undone hair, Miley doesn’t look like she’s trying too hard to grow up. A lesson we can all learn from Ms. Cyrus? You don’t need to have your cleavage, midriff and legs on display in order to be sexy! We hope this sleek, understated sex appeal continues in her future red carpet appearances.

Rapper Bizzy Crook knew that when he wanted to use a sample for his track "This Is Me," he had to find a way to weave in his favorite song from his favorite Disney movie. Which means "Camp Rock" star Demi Lovato makes a cameo on the track. The MC sampled the uplifting "This Is Me" because he really connected to its message of self-acceptance.

"When I was a kid I left the city where I grew up at, and I moved and it was hard for me to adjust. I didn’t have too many friends; I hung around by myself…then I watched the movie and that song really related to me," he explained of the tune.

No failwhaling here: Miley Cyrus is back on Twitter!

It seems all is right in the celebrity Twitterverse once again, as Miley has finally made her long-awaited return to the social networking site. The singer/actress, fresh off of her win at this weekend's Kids' Choice Awards, is now tweeting from @gypsyhearttour, in preparation for her upcoming tour.

Miley has already set her sights high to regain her power on Twitter (late Sunday night she posted, "Goal 1. Get 1,000,000 followers! Goal 2. Make #RADIATELOVE a trending topic!") and has been conversing with fellow famous tweeters like Jaden Smith, whom she told, "@officialjaden Let's take over the world together! Starting with Disney Land! PS I'm totes laying around eating chocolate watching Hancock."

Now that Miley has made her triumphant return to Twitter almost a year-and-a-half after she left it (at the time she explained to fans that she quit because she wanted privacy because on-again, off-again boyfriend Liam Hemsworth suggested it), we wanted to take a look back at other stars who have taken a temporary leave from writing in 140 characters or less, only to return.
