If you caught our exclusive debut of "Clockwork Prince" author Cassandra Clare's interview with audiobook narrator Ed Westwick, you know that the "Gossip Girl" star is definitely interested in portraying Victorian London's snarkiest Shadowhunter, Will Herondale, in the book's big-screen adaptation.
"I would love to. I would love to," he told the author. "It would be a great role. Just from reading the book—there's a lot of depth there. It's something I'd relish getting to be involved it. Let's all convince the studio to hire me and we'll be all good."
Ed already has our vote, but what does Cassie think of the casting pick? (Spoiler: She's definitely okay with the hunky actor wearing the runes...)

Before her performance in the buzzy indie drama "Like Crazy" inspires weeping the likes of which Hallmark commercials and baskets of puppies have never seen before, up-and-coming Brit actress Felicity Jones will give Shaun White a run for his gold medal.
Felicity plays the titular "Chalet Girl" Kim, in this cheeky rom-com co-starring Ed Westwick (otherwise known as "Gossip Girl"'s Chuck Bass). We follow our heroine as she takes a job at a posh ski resort to earn extra money and falls into a flirtation with Ed's Jonny along the way. (And, as we mentioned in our earlier trailer review, Ed uses his bona fide British accent here, so double swoon!)
The film doesn't hit theaters until October 14, but you'll be able to watch it on SundanceNOW and On Demand beginning September 9. And best of all, we have an EXCLUSIVE clip to whet your appetite.
In this adorable bite, snowboarder Kim tries to teach Jonny how to carve, and, well... just watch to see what happens!

By my head, here come the Capulets! The upcoming film adaptation of "Romeo and Juliet" now has not only its Juliet (Hailee Steinfeld, as previously reported), but hotheaded cousin Capulet as well—as Variety reports that Ed Westwick of "Gossip Girl" is in final negotiations for the role of Tybalt.
For those who haven't kept up on their Shakespeare, Tybalt is the play's chief antagonist and is ultimately killed by Romeo after he murders the leading man's bestie in a duel. (We'd say "Spoiler Alert," but...well, if you don't know what happens at the end of "Romeo and Juliet," then there's no way you're reading this from your lovely home under that rock.) And now that he's on board with the film, Ed is in some elite company: The role has been previously played by John Leguizamo and Alan Rickman, among others.

There seems to be an encore in the works for "The Last Song" co-stars Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth, who are rumored to be back together according to E! Online.
The can't-seem-to-make-up-their-minds couple met on the set of the 2009 Nicholas Sparks film and went through a few rounds of break up/make up before calling it quits again last fall. Now it looks as though the twosome is back on, however—Liam plans to accompany Miley on the Australian leg of her Gypsy Heart tour this June.
With a tenuous track record like theirs, it's hard to say if Miley and Liam will last this time, but we're certainly rooting for them (such a cute couple!). And it's not like Miley and Liam are alone—lots of our favorite couples have played a little yo-yo with our hearts, going back and forth before reconciling—or calling it quits—for good. Here are some of the couples that have had us on the edge of our seats.

Shaking. Cold sweats. Shouting in your sleep. While these may all be signs of a far more serious condition, they are also common symptoms brought on by lack of new episodes from our favorite CW shows. Separation can be tough, and it's safe to say our Monday nights have not been the same since the last new installments of "90210" and "Gossip Girl" aired a good, oh, four weeks ago. (Not that we're counting. Oh, whatever. Yes we are!)
Unfortunately we're not out of the woods yet, Crushers—new episodes return on April 18—but thankfully the network is preventing any further physical trauma by sending us a sneak peak of what's to come on each show's home stretch. And it looks goooood. Really good. (Watch the promo after the jump!)

While everyone may be wondering about the blossoming "Dair" relationship on "Gossip Girl," my heart still melts with every smoldering Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) stare. Sure, he’s been called a Basshole and a Mother Chucker over the years, but his chemistry with Blair (Leighton Meester) is undeniable, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who still hopes they’ll one day end up together (it’s meant to be!).
Which is why news that Ed is less than thrilled with his character and the future of the show breaks my little aspiring-Upper-East-Sider heart. Of course, "Gossip Girl" can’t go on forever, but could Manhattan, or the world for that matter, be the same without Chuck Bass? Ed recently told British magazine Tatler that he doesn’t feel connected to his "GG" role, and feels "ready to do something else." Add this to Taylor Momsen’s absence this season and Chace Crawford’s dwindling storylines, and—gasp—the end could be in sight.

The world of "Gossip Girl" has become a bit confusing to me, what with all the beautiful people and their petty problems, ridiculous extravagance, too much teenage angst and inexplicable emo-ness, etc. I mean, I will still watch it when it's on, but I sometimes find myself more annoyed than entertained.
That being said, I just can't quit my fascination with Blair Waldorf and Chuck Bass, so I will occasionally tune in to find out what's going on with them...and imagine my surprise when I checked in to find out that the saucy Waldorf and sensitive Dan Humphrey might be getting nice and close soon! OMG indeed.
Anyway, MTV News recently caught up with star Leighton Meester during the press day for her creepy new thriller "The Roommate," perfect timing to ask Ms. Meester her thoughts on a) the nicknames that have been given to the two couples—"Dair" and "Chair"—which Leighton called "cute," and b) the future of Dan and Blair vs. the future of Chuck and Blair.

There are worse things than living and working in the stunning Swiss Alps and not knowing how to ski. But apparently if you're a chalet girl—basically a foreign housekeeper in a ritzy ski resort (like an au pair, but for cleaning)—it's pretty much the worst sin in the world. Or so we've learned from the new trailer for "Chalet Girl," a movie about a, uh, chalet girl that's set to come out February 11.
Luckily our British heroine has a natural talent for snowboarding, and thus makes waves in the posh world she's transplanted into. It's essentially your typical "poor girl in rich world" fish-out-of-water story, but with winter sports.
Here are five reasons why we're intrigued by the trailer:

It's safe to assume that a good portion of Robert Pattinson's fans have never noticed what he's wearing, ever, considering his clothes take a backseat to his charismatic smile and rugged sex appeal. Esquire, however, is not one of those fans, having named the "Twilight" star to their worst-dressed list—the 2010 Celebrity Style Hall of Shame. The mens mag offers Rob several suggestions for improving his style, including basics like showering and tucking in his shirt.
RPattz has been criticized for his hygiene habits in the past, but his larger-than-life fame may not have escalated to A-list status had he been on the receiving end of regular haircuts and bespoke suits. Part of our favorite vampire's charm is his effortless appearance, and regardless of being named to a fashion hall of shame or rumors about his showering habits (or lack thereof), our attention has always been on his charming manner and perfect bone structure. Who needs to color coordinate when people love you because you don't comb your hair? It's just part of his charm!

This weekend, it's all about the battle of Blake Lively vs. Penn Badgley. No, the adorable "Gossip Girl" couple haven't split, they just both happen to have movies opening this Friday! While the two flicks, "The Town" and "Easy A," respectively, couldn't be more different, both are already getting rave reviews ("The Town" is "certified fresh" at 86% on Rotten Tomatoes and "Easy A" is making the grade at 75%).
Blake (whose previous film work includes "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants") stars in the gritty Boston bank robbery drama as Ben Affleck's (he also directed the movie) former flame. She appears alongside a few other Hollywood heavyweights (and, we can all agree here, hotties) such as Jon Hamm and Jeremy Renner.
