December is going to be here before you can utter the words, "jingle bells," but last night, the temperature on the red carpet at Us Weekly's Hot Hollywood party was exactly that — HOT! The event, which celebrated the magazine's annual issue in which the best of the best in Tinseltown are honored for being on the pulse of pop culture this year, was held at the Voyeur club in L.A. (Does anyone else find it oddly fitting that the name of the club also stands for a term that describes "a fascinated observer of scandalous events"?) An abundance of well-known faces turned up for the big night, including some that were, uh, a little random, like Levi Johnston.

Not so random, however, were the cameos by Kristin Cavallari and her MTV cohort, Whitney Port. Kristin, who was nominated as "Comeback of the Year" for her return to reality TV with "The Hills," wore a Dolce & Gabbana black corset, a Philip Lam skirt with a black/gold design on it and shoes that we find to be a tad questionable as we don't like the way they cut off her leg. Whitney's vintage sheath however, was adorable and perfect for the upcoming holiday season — sparkles, gold Guiseppe Zanotti heels and just the right amount of skin.

Yesterday the TV world got quite the shock when it was announced that Joss Whedon's cult series "Dollhouse" would be getting the ax. The show's star Eliza Dushku (pictured with Joss) took to her Twitter to talk to fans about the too soon departure. Eliza confirmed, "Hear it here. Hey, that's really why I started twitter, the rumors/news IS true: Dollhouse will not cont. past these 13 eps :(," and later posted, "BUT... There's always a but... I can't express enough-- this has been one of the MOST rewarding experiences of my career. Thank you guys!" While we're very sad to see "Dollhouse" go, at least we'll still be able to get our Whedon fix on "Glee" soon.

While Eliza Dushku deals with the loss of her show, Britney Spears had to put up with the dreaded hacked Twitter page. Brit's camp alerted followers, "Britney's twitter account was just hacked. The situation has been resolved and we apologize for any offense the hacker's messages caused." Elsewhere, Alyssa Milano tweet battled (twattled?) her own online imposter, posting, "Really, @AlyMilano?"

Check out what else was going on in the Twitterverse, besides hacked accounts, that is. From Katerina Graham's #1 "Vampire Diaries" fan, to Mark Hoppus' and Joel Madden's not-so-sweet dreams (they should be having Tweet Dreams instead, don't ya think?)

FROM MOVIES BLOG: "Dollhouse" fans, the news you've been dreading has officially arrived — Joss Whedon's latest television endeavor is dead.

The Hollywood Reporter
has the breaking news that Fox has canceled "Dollhouse," the Eliza Dushku-starring series created by Whedon. The article notes that despite a DVR-induced ratings bump, "Dollhouse" just couldn't cut it by the network's standards. As a result, the series will be put out to pasture after the 13th episode of the second season. Episode 11 is currently filming.

If the ratings and the mixed reaction from fans and reviewers weren't proof enough that "Dollhouse" was in trouble, the very fact that Fox pulled the series from November sweeps was a clear indicator of the show's impending cancellation.

Eliza Dushku has already revealed that "Firefly" actress Summer Glau will be stopping by the "Dollhouse" this season. But what we really wanted to know was who from "Buffy" or "Angel" would she like to reunite with on her show. True, she's network mates with David Boreanaz, and she already stars side-by-side with Amy Acker on "Dollhouse," but there's got to be someone else from back in the day she'd like to work with?

Well, the answer is yes, there is. And that person happens to be former TV werewolf, Seth Green. Though, before she would even bring up the redhead's name, she got a little nervous about answering our "weighty" question. "That's so big. I don't want to single someone out and then leave out the others," she admitted, and then finally fessed up. "You know who I ran into the other day was Seth Green. He looks exactly the same. I mean that dude does not age. He's adorable and smart and funny and I think he'd be an interesting addition to the Dollhouse." Press play below to hear more from Eliza!

So, would you love to see Oz and Faith reunited on the small screen? How awesome would that be?

Peter Facinelli and Robert PattinsonWell, it finally happened, Tweeters. After months of pleading from fans and his co-star Peter Facinelli, Robert Pattinson made his first official tweet today! Unfortunately, our beloved Edward Cullen did not create his own account (as Peter noted, " At least you know he doesn't have a Twiiter account. Lol. Down with the posers") he hopped on Facinelli's page to tweet, " Hi, it's Rob... My first and last tweet. My dad made me do it." He's a man of few words, but we still love him so! And we love you too, Peter, for making this actually happen!

Rob Pattinson's maiden (and sadly, final) tweet wasn't the only thing being celebrated today, in fact, for many today rings in a whole new year. Nicole Richie wished the traditional, " L'shana Tova" on her page, while Brooke Burke got ready to spend Rosh Hashanah with her loved ones, tweeting, "Happy new year. Big family dinner tonight and Amanda Bynes was set to celebrate, too, posting, Going to Melissa's family's house in Long Island for Rosh Hashanah!" For all of you celebrating Rosh Hashanah today, we here at Hollywood Crush would like to wish you a Happy New Year!

Universal The original “Bring It On” set the bar in 2000 for a whole new millennium of chick-flicks. It put cheerleaders into the center spotlight, coined the new phrase “Bring it” and sent the careers of many of its stars into a glorious new direction. But there are some of our favorite Rancho Carne High cheerleaders who, well, seem to have retired their fame pom poms ever since. As a part of Hollywood Crush's "Bring It On" week — in honor of the newest captain on the franchise's team, "Fight to the Finish" (out on DVD Sept. 1) — here’s a look back at some of the original cheerleaders who didn’t quite get it brought'en.

Lindsay Sloane
Lindsay’s star peaked with her role as the cheer-stealing RCH team captain, “Big Red.” After starring in the WB’s short-lived 2000 TV series, “Grosse Pointe,” Lindsay (pictured after the jump) has made numerous bit appearances in everything from HBO’s “Entourage” to last year’s Uma Thurman chick-flick, “The Accidental Husband.” Most recently, Lindsay starred as Mary in the 2009 short film “Water Pills.” Read more...

Bring It On As "Bring It On" week continues here on Hollywood Crush, we've decided to take a look back at the original movie in the franchise. In addition to turning cheerleading comedies into a genre unto themselves, the 2000 smash-hit "Bring It On" launched the careers of many of its leading actors and actresses.

In honor of the franchise’s fifth installment, “Fight to the Finish,” Hollywood Crush is taking a look back at the most successful cheerleaders to make their way out of Rancho Carne High School and into our hearts. Read more...

For an event billed as a "summer soiree," celebs took a decidedly dark approach to their red carpet looks, opting for blacks and metallics over breezy, bright ensembles for InStyle magazine's West Hollywood party last night.

"Twilight" star Kellan Lutz took a break from the Vancouver set of "Eclipse" to attend the fete clad in a charcoal button-up and gun metal jeans, while his "New Moon" costar model Noot Seear channeled a bit of her vampiric alter ego in a low-cut, billowy black romper. Read more...

Demi Lovato and Trace CyrusFROM MOVIES BLOG: One of the more interesting panels at Comic-Con this year not specifically geared to plug an upcoming movie was Entertainment Weekly’s forum discussing the role of female heroes in modern pop culture. Sigourney Weaver, Eliza Dushku, Zoe Saldana and Elizabeth Mitchell were seated on the dais before an enthusiastic standing room only crowd. It took about 20 minutes for someone onstage to realize Saldana's and Mitchell’s nameplates were misplaced.

Before Buffy slayed, Lara Croft raided and Starbuck, er… drank, Weaver was bitch-slapping Paul Reiser and basically inventing the archetype for ass-kicking women as Ridley in James Cameron's 1986 sci-fi action flick “Aliens.” Five years later, Cameron would release “T2: Judgment Day” featuring another female action hero. Sarah Connor, played by Linda Hamilton, paved the way for the modern-day heroine who can balance motherhood with her need to pound skulls and work out.
