Robert Pattinson was the latest in "New Moon" stars to stop by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" for a chat with the lovely host. On the episode, which was pre-taped (he is a busy guy after all), our beloved R-Pattz discussed house hunting, fans getting naked and Canadian-American geography. His entire family was there to witness the fun, though they sat in a makeshift section to the side of the actual audience. "I like how they're corralled," Rob joked. "That's the way I like to keep my family. Just, like, in a pen."

Rob said "New Moon" mania has brought him to five or six countries in the past week, but as we know already, it's pretty much impossible to him to actually leave his hotel room. He told Ellen that if he could do anything for a day, he'd try to find a house. "It's very, very difficult, I always think, just the actual process of looking for a house. If someone's following you it defeats the entire purpose of trying to find a secret house."

Just because it's not October anymore doesn't mean Ellen DeGeneres won't scare the bejesus out of you when you appear on her show. That's what Dakota Fanning learned when she went on "Ellen" Monday afternoon to promote the release of "New Moon." As Ellen asked Dakota's opinion on whether vampires are real, a man dressed as Dracula snuck up behind her with a pair of fake fangs and scared the crap out of her. After the initial shock wore off, Dakota proved to be a good sport and laughed throughout the insta-replay. "You're never safe here," said Ellen.

Before the scare, Dakota did have time to talk about how much she enjoyed playing evil vampire Jane in "New Moon." "It's really kind of one of the first times I've played the bad character, the villain figure in a movie. It was just really great to get to have the red contact lenses and the vampire makeup and get to have an evil persona, a creepy persona."

The case before you, Crushers, is simple. Hollywood Crush's Sweethearts Court would like you to find whether country crooner Taylor Swift and "New Moon" shapeshifter Taylor Lautner are guilty on charges of dating in the first degree. We will present you with persuasive evidence today and hope that your verdict is in the affirmative. [Bangs gavel] I hereby bring this case of are-they-or-aren't-they to order. Let's proceed.

I assume you, the esteemed jurors, are well aware of the precedence in this case. The name-sharing pair were first snapped together filming scenes for their upcoming rom-com "Valentine's Day" in late July. Swift later said their onscreen lip lock "was life-changing." Fast-forward to fall and the teen dreams were caught sharing a lingering embrace at Swift's concert in Chicago. Which brings us to the past week (when they were, as seen to the right, Spotted! shopping together at Alice + Olivia). Here are the latest developments:

Peter Facinelli and Robert PattinsonWell, it finally happened, Tweeters. After months of pleading from fans and his co-star Peter Facinelli, Robert Pattinson made his first official tweet today! Unfortunately, our beloved Edward Cullen did not create his own account (as Peter noted, " At least you know he doesn't have a Twiiter account. Lol. Down with the posers") he hopped on Facinelli's page to tweet, " Hi, it's Rob... My first and last tweet. My dad made me do it." He's a man of few words, but we still love him so! And we love you too, Peter, for making this actually happen!

Rob Pattinson's maiden (and sadly, final) tweet wasn't the only thing being celebrated today, in fact, for many today rings in a whole new year. Nicole Richie wished the traditional, " L'shana Tova" on her page, while Brooke Burke got ready to spend Rosh Hashanah with her loved ones, tweeting, "Happy new year. Big family dinner tonight and Amanda Bynes was set to celebrate, too, posting, Going to Melissa's family's house in Long Island for Rosh Hashanah!" For all of you celebrating Rosh Hashanah today, we here at Hollywood Crush would like to wish you a Happy New Year!

Michael WelchFROM MTV.COM: Relax, Britney Spears is just fine. The singer was just the victim of yet another Twitter hack over the weekend, along with talk-show host/ comedian Ellen DeGeneres. According to The Associated Press, hackers broke into Spears' and DeGeneres' Twitpic accounts and sent out fake messages, including one that said Britney was dead.

"Britney has passed today," one of the fake messages said. "It is a sad day for everyone. More news to come."

Twitpic, a Web-based messaging system that is not owned by Twitter, allows users of the micro-blogging site to share photos. Twitpic service shut down briefly on Sunday after discovering what the Charleston, South Carolina-based company called a "vulnerability" in its mobile posting service. In a note to users, Twitpic asks users to disregard the message about Spears' alleged death and promised that the company was "implementing a fix immediately."
