Time recently sat down with Zac Efron to discuss hair, college and movie roles for the upcoming November 30th edition of the magazine. They posed ten questions for Zac and he managed to respond to each one with some absorbing to say. Nevertheless, we found one question to be particularly amusing. Will Zac Efron ever star in an action movie?
“I would love to try an action film at some point, but not too soon. I think that can be a kiss of death. There's got to be a real role that I can bring something unique and specific to, a way for me to do it believably. Until then, I think it would just come across as weird,” Zac had to say of the matter.
Zac’s comments — in particular, the phrase "kiss of death" — got us to thinking about other actors/actresses who have played against type and went for a different kind of role. After the jump, we take a look at a few of those stars and figure out if these atypical roles came out as flat out weird or made a positive impact on their careers.
