The kids were all right at the 2011 Golden Globes, but it looks like the Hollywood Foreign Press Association may have tucked them in early for this year's affair. With a silent film ("The Artist") and a widower ("The Descendants") dominating last night's ceremony, few of Hollywood Crush's favorites made it to the podium at all. That's not to say, however, that there weren't plenty of enjoyable tidbits and moments at the fete. From the George Clooney-Brad Pitt bromance to one adorable pooch, here are our five favorite things from the 2012 Golden Globes (in no particular order):
Charlize Theron's dress
The carpet was populated with plenty of pretty pink confections, but our favorite was Charlize Theron's daring Dior. With its plunging neck, thigh-high slit and dramatic train, the frock caught our eyes like none other at the awards ceremony. J'adore, Dior, indeed!

Quick! Which "Ides of March" star is more handsome: Ryan Gosling or George Clooney? Tough one, huh? It's a total "Sophie's Choice." But for one of the stars in question, the verdict wasn't so difficult to reach.
"No way. George Clooney's so handsome," Ryan told us while promoting the political drama, due Friday. "Come on."

Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth. Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied. LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian. Ginnifer Goodwin and Joey Kurn. Even Hugh Hefner got engaged over Christmas weekend. We appreciate all this love in the air after that depressing streak of splits, but we didn't know Hollywood was so affected by the holiday spirit!
Let's keep this passion alive! More and more celebs are looking to make their way down the aisle with each passing day, so we've compiled our wish list of Hollywood couples we hope pop the question after the jump. Who knows, maybe one of our wishes will come true?

Thanks to sophomore English class, the phrase "the ides of March" always makes us think of poor Julius Caesar rolling around on the Senate floor in a blood-soaked (not to mention highly unflattering) toga. Yuck. But now, thanks to the movie biz, we'll be able to associate the ides of March with something much more appetizing—something like, say, George Clooney and Ryan Gosling! According to Variety, George has signed on to direct and star in "The Ides of March," a political thriller based on the play "Farragut North."
The film features George as a candidate for the Democratic presidential ticket, with Ryan starring as a press spokesman—a role played onstage by the equally delicious Chris Pine. (Rumor has it that Chris was in the running for this role as well, so there must be something about the script that attracts ridiculously good-looking dudes.) The cast also reunites Marisa Tomei and Evan Rachel Wood, who last worked together on "The Wrestler," playing (respectively) a reporter for the New York Times and a seductive campaign intern.

This year's Emmy's award show started out with a big, big bang (no pun intended to Jim Parsons' totally awesome Lead Actor in a Comedy Series win) and, even though most of our favorite shows didn't get all the credit we thought they deserved (where was the "True Blood" and "Friday Night Lights" love, Academy?!), we can't say that those who did take home Emmy's didn't completely deserve their honors.
From song-and-dance numbers to goofy sketches, the night was full of memorable (not to mention, hilarious) moments. Check out our eight faves:
"GLEE"'S BIG WINS
"Glee" only took home two awards last night, but who deserved them more than Jane Lynch and Ryan Murphy (for Outstanding Direction)? Jane accepted her first ever Emmy win by calling it "outlandish," kissing Stephen Colbert on the lips and thanking her "lord and creator, Ryan Murphy, for creating the role of a lifetime," and told her fellow castmates, "You're young, and you're wonderful and fresh-faced and, when I'm not seething with jealousy, I love you." Ryan was a bit more contained and, after thanking FOX and his cast, said, "'Glee' is about the importance of arts education, so I would like to dedicate this to all my teachers." Insert collective "aww" here.

We're just two short days away from the 62nd Annual Emmy Awards, and we can't wait much longer to see which of our favorites will walk away winners. This year there are so many contenders to love in both the comedic and dramatic categories, we had to give kudos to the actors and shows that kept us glued to our sets. Here are some of our faves, let us know if you agree!
The Outstanding Comedy Series category features three shows that always have a spot on Hollywood Crush's DVR: "The Office," "Modern Family" and, of course, "Glee"! We swooned over the arrival of Jim and Pam's baby on "The Office," and "Modern Family" had us holding our sides from laughing so hard (we're still using Phil's version of "WTF": "Why the face?"), but we have an extra special place in our hearts for "Glee." It's a bittersweet love song (quite literally) dedicated to all the outcasts in the world that's become nothing short of a pop-culture phenomenon.

It's official — almost a year after getting engaged, John Krasinski and Emily Blunt said "I do" this weekend in Como, Italy, according to People. "The Office" star and "The Young Victoria" actress started dating in 2008, quickly becoming one of Crush's favorite couples, and married in a private outdoor ceremony on Saturday.
The happy couple had been staying at the Lake Como estate of George Clooney, John's "Leatherheads" costar (so that's how they know each other!), the week prior to Saturday's wedding, and George and his girlfriend were guests at the ceremony, US Weekly reported.

With Javier Bardem confirmed to have a guest appearance on "Glee" next season, we started thinking about what other Oscar winners would make a nice contribution to the show. Like the celebrity-heavy "30 Rock," there are Gleeks in all shapes and sizes, and we're sure there are quite a few A-listers out there who would be willing to take time out of their busy schedule to belt out a few tunes and add to the drama of William McKinley High School.
Check out our guest star suggestions after the jump!

So, if you haven't already caught it, there's this amazing video from "Jimmy Kimmel Live" that's been making the rounds recently on the internet. Basically, Jimmy came up with the totally awesome idea of making an exclusive club for Hollywood's hottest men (um, it's about time!), including Ben Affleck, Gilles Marini, Patrick Dempsey , John Krasinski and oh-so-many more. Of course, Jimmy's not an easygoing president, and plenty of guys get rejected, including Robert Pattinson (we know, but take it up with him, ladies) and Taylor Lautner (diss!).
While we loved his spoof, we couldn't help but feeling like Jimmy left out some very deserving men (you know, besides the aforementioned "Twilight" studs), and we figured, in the off chance the Handsome Men's Club ever gets revived, we better add in our two cents. So check out our nominees for the elite club after the jump!

For nearly a year now, fans and the media have been speculating on whether Anna Kendrick could become the first “Twilight Saga” star to earn an Oscar nomination. Well, unless you’ve been sleeping under a rock, you now know that she earned the Best Supporting recognition on Tuesday, which is huge news to “Twilight” fans.
Now, her costar and fellow Forks High student Michael Welch has reached out to MTV with his reaction — and let’s just say he’s happier than a vegetarian vampire with a freshly-killed deer.
“Human pride!” Michael beamed when we spoke, revealing where Mike Newton's loyalties lie. “Represent!”
