The gossip might stop for a hot second during the holidays, but the celebs kept on celebrating this weekend—and now that we're back on our game, it's time to check in with a Hollywood roundup of holiday fun! Who took their kiddies out for a wintry stroll? Who played not-so-secret Santa in a big way? Who imbibed a bit too much of the Christmas spirit and got into a seasonal spat? Read on!

First, there were shenanigans: Adam Lambert and his Finnish beau succumbed to a combo of jet lag, vodka and holiday stress, and got into a highly-publicized bar brawl just days before Christmas...but reconciled in plenty of time to break out the Nordic sweaters and traditional pulla in Helsinki on Christmas Day.

Hilary Duff's maternal instincts are already kicking!

When the actress/author stopped by the MTV Newsroom last week to promote her just-released second novel, "Devoted," she told our own Christina Garibaldi that she thought she was pregnant with a boy. "Everyone else says it's a girl, but I think it's a boy," she said."I don't care what I get, but every time I think about it or dream about it, I see a boy."

Well, the 24-year-old's dreams are coming true: According to People, Hilary just revealed to Ellen DeGeneres that she and husband Mike Comrie are indeed having a boy!

Hilary Duff has a very impressive resume. The mom-to-be is a TV star, movie star and a best-selling author. So with today's release of "Devoted," the follow-up to her debut novel, "Elixir," can we expect her novels to be turned into a movie? If it’s up to Hilary, the answer is yes!

"I would love to. I mean, it’s a huge dream of mine, and just from my past and where I came from I’m used to working on movies and reading scripts and that’s just where my head goes instantly when I’m writing," Hilary said. "I made this book very visual, the dream sequences and the flash backs are very romantic. I could just see doing really cool things to the film with wardrobe and all this stuff that my mind goes to. I think it’d be really cool, but I have a lot going on. There have been a few people interested in buying the rights which is very flattering, but if the right person came along, I’d definitely hope that would happen."

Hilary Duff is a very busy mom-to-be! In between getting ready for a baby, Hilary has somehow found the time to write the follow-up to her best selling debut novel, "Elixir." The second book in her trilogy, "Devoted," hits book stores tomorrow, and the Duffster promises just as much adventure, mystery and drama.

"'Devoted' picks up basically where 'Elixir' left off, and Clea has a lot of big questions to answer and decisions to make," Hilary told us. "Clearly Sage and her got separated [he was kidnapped in 'Elixir'], and it didn’t end ideally for them, so she’s having a hard time."

Lindsay PulsipherYou probably know Lindsay Pulsipher as the oft-naked and sometimes-shapeshifting Crystal Norris from "True Blood"—but next time you see her, she'll be trading in her CGI panthersuit for a beret, as The Hollywood Reporter has word that Lindsay has been cast as Bonnie Parker in the upcoming "Story of Bonnie and Clyde"!

She's replacing Hilary Duff, whose recently announced pregnancy was rumored to throw a wrench into the tight production schedule (something producers later denied). Regardless, it makes a lot of sense, since a pregnant Bonnie would not only be historically inaccurate, but also kind of upsetting considering that she and her partner-in-crime eventually eat it in a bullet-riddled car. (...Oh. Er, spoiler alert?)

Hilary Duffby Catherine Fuentes

It's been a pretty eventful August for Hilary Duff. Hot on the heels of celebrating her one-year wedding anniversary to hockey player Mike Comrie and announcing her pregnancy, word came today from The Hollywood Reporter that Hilary will not star as Bonnie Parker in the upcoming indie flick "The Story of Bonnie and Clyde," set to film later this year.

While the rumor mill initially speculated that Hilary dropped out due to her pregnancy, the flick's producers told Entertainment Weekly that's not the case, and that it was simply a scheduling conflict. Turns out Clyde (i.e. "Gossip Girl" actor Kevin Zegers) is out, as well. (Here's hoping that "Georgetown" TV series actually happens so we can get our Kevin fix.)

Anyway...with vacant seats in Bonnie and Clyde's getaway car, we thought we'd cast a couple beautiful blonds to fill Hilary's handcuffs. Check out our picks for Bonnie after the jump!

Hilary DuffHilary Duff, who I could've sworn was playing a tweenage heroine on the Disney Channel, like, yesterday, is officially on board the baby-making train! The definitely-no-longer-tween Hilary delighted the bump-watching masses this weekend when she announced that she's expecting a little Lizzie McGuire of her own with hockey-player husband Mike Comrie. (Unless the baby is a boy, in which case...Lizard McGuire? Yep, that works.)

The couple haven't confirmed yet exactly when their bundle of joy will arrive, but presumably Hilary has a few months left to prepare for her new role as a mom. And if she needs any advice, there's certainly a plethora of recently pregnant celebs she can turn to for help! Which famous ladies would have the best helpful hints for impending mommyhood? Here's our list:

What do Hilary Duff and Jessica Szohr have in common? Aside from being pretty young actresses who have both had fun stints on "Gossip Girl"? They've also signed up to be a part of SoBe's latest campaign, "Try Everything," which encourages consumers to engage their inner adventurer or inner explorer to do just that.

MTV News caught up with the ladies at the "Try Anything" Challenge event in New York City recently, where they participated in zany activities like bowling with melons, milking cows and pitching.

"I tried bowling with a melon," Hilary said. "Which was definitely a new one. They came up with different events that are inspired by our favorite drinks and mine is Mango Melon.
I did a pretty good job, if I do say so myself," she said with a smile.

If you were a fan of Hilary Duff's debut novel "Elixir"—a supernatural love story following 17-year-old photographer Clea Raymond—then we have good news for you: The actress is hard at work on the follow up, "Devoted," due out October 11!

"We're almost finished with it," she told MTV News while walking the carpet last night at Britney Spears' event to support the St. Bernard Project. "This book was a lot easier—this process because the story was kind of figured out, and so it was just extending what was already there."
