Like the Olsens, Emma Watson and Natalie Portman before her, Miranda Cosgrove is putting her acting career on hold this fall to attend college. The “iCarly” star is all set to matriculate at the University of Southern California, and when she stopped by the MTV News offices this week to chat about Michelle Obama's guest appearance on her Nick show, she also revealed why she wanted to pursue her latest role as college co-ed.
“I’m really excited. I loved school. I went to school until fifth grade, and then I started doing home schooling, but I just loved everything about it,” she explained. “I loved being in the classroom and having friends and the whole school environment. So I’m excited to maybe live in a dorm and make new friends and have the college experience.”

Victoria Justice couldn’t be more excited for her show's first-ever Emmy nomination. The Nick series is up for Outstanding Children's Program against fellow heavy hitters, like "A Child's Garden Of Poetry," "Degrassi," "iCarly" and "Wizards Of Waverly Place."
When we caught up with Victoria on the Cleveland set of her upcoming Halloween movie "Fun Size" last week—the same day the nominations were announced—she was psyched by the prospect of being in such great company. "We're nominated for an Emmy, which is crazy," she dished. "I'm so honored that we were even recognized and it's really, really very exciting."

This 17-year-old can do it all. She stars in TV shows, has been featured in major movies, she came out with her first album this year, and she recently lent her voice for the upcoming film “Despicable Me.” And did I mention that she’s incredibly funny and poised? What more could we ask for? Obviously a place for Miranda Cosgrove on our Girl Crush hall of fame!
You may remember when she made her film debut in the 2003 Jack Black comedy, “School of Rock,” or when she played the mischievous sister Megan Parker in her breakout role in Nickelodeon’s “Drake and Josh.” But most fans know her today as Carly, the high-schooler who hosts her own web show, from the series that made her famous, “iCarly.”

It's no secret that Jane Lynch makes any television show significantly better. Can you even begin to imagine "Glee" without the terrorizing and hilarious Sue Sylvester? Now, the actress, who most recently cracked us up on the finale of the now dearly departed "Party Down" (sigh!), will put her magic touch on "iCarly" as none other than Sam's (played by Jennette McCurdy) mystery mom!
Entertainment Weekly reported yesterday that Jane will appear in an episode that is set to air during the show's upcoming third season.
