"New Moon" has now earned it's place in box office history — as the movie with the third-biggest opening weekend of all time (with $140.7 million and still going). It's obvious to us (as it has been!) that this franchise has thus earned a permemant place in your hearts.

We've kind of been getting a bit of "Twilight" fever over here at MTV (can you blame us?) and in turn it made us ask ourselves: what would the world look like if the characters in the movies took over every facet of entertainment? Alas our Total "Twilight" Takeover photo gallery was born. When you click on the photo of Robert Pattinson as — yes! — the King of Pop and Taylor Lautner as — yes! — Michelangelo's David (that bod is not far off from Jacob's, right?) below, you'll be transformed into a alternate universe where Esme dances to "Party in the U.S.A.," Bella rides a motorcycle...with Kristin Cavallari, and Jane attends classes with Rachel and Finn!

Crushers, where in your mind could you see the cast of "New Moon" fitting in in pop culture?

If there's one place vampires, werewolves and humans can co-exist peacefully, it's surely the red carpet. Love triangles, team alliances and centuries-old pacts were put aside last night to celebrate the long-awaited premiere of "New Moon" at LA's Westwood village theater. (Did you read our live blog throughout the night?) Though fans lined up for hours to get a glimpse of their favorite "Twilight" stars, we've got a fashion rundown you can enjoy in the comfort of your own home—sans earplugs.

A lot has changed for the Saga's stars since last year's premiere, including their wardrobe. Kristen Stewart eschewed her mini-dress of yore, opting instead for a floor-grazing, gray-stitched gown by Oscar De La Renta. But in signature Kristen-fashion she funked it up by adding a few bangles, smokey eyes and a messy, half up-do. Kristen's onscreen love Robert Pattinson looked every inch the movie star in a black Gucci suit, with a soft yet still-slightly tousled haircut and his token stubble.

Some could call it the paper cut felt round the world. Over Halloween weekend, we debuted an exclusive clip from the dreaded "New Moon" scene in which Bella's birthday party at the Cullen household goes from pale to blood red in the blink of an eye thanks to gift wrap that gives the b-day girl a tiny gash on her finger.

Now, in the above behind-the-scenes footage from the set of the "Twilight" sequel, we get to see that moment from a technical point of view — as in the placement of the red goo (to stand in for blood) on Kristen Stewart's finger and then Robert Pattinson literally shoving Jackson Rathbone into a pile of padded mats. The best part, however, is seeing Jackson smile after the take as Rob says, "Good job Jackson."See, not all vampires cry over spilled blood.

Seriously, we weren't kidding earlier when we said we can't keep up with all the delectable photos coming our way! Moments ago we received a brand new crop of "New Moon" photos from Summit, and while we can't help but think, "Uh, are there actually moments we haven't yet seen?" (you know, with all the stills previously released before these), we were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves digging into a ton of new goodies.

For instance: The Cullen clan looking quite pretty (especially Esme)! Bella's school buddies paling around! The Wolf Pack .... with shirts on! (OK fine, that last one didn't really deserve the exclamation point, but still...) Chris Weitz peeking into a video camera! Oh my!

Click on the photo below to see them all, and check back with us throughout the weekend for all things "Twilight"!

With the whirl of TV spots, trailers, screen shots and scenes that Summit Entertainment has been releasing to promote "New Moon" (released in three weeks!), it's surprising we haven't seen the entire movie already. But Summit is taking the smart approach and, instead of releasing an actual new scene, they instead release an extended segment of something shown in a trailer. It's smart because not only does it whet our appetite, but the viewer still knows they have something to look forward to when the movie hits theaters.

Tonight's Ulalume Festival clip (see it after the jump!) was no different, showing Bella's birthday party before she gets her infamous paper cut. It's the first time we've gotten a good look at the Cullens since the first teaser, which also showed clips from the birthday party. This MTV exclusive clip gave us the chance to actually hear some interplay between our favorite vampire family.

We know you guys aren't the last-minute planning types (and even if you are, we'll forgive you), so we've got a feeling your Halloween costumes are hung up neatly in your closet ready for tomorrow's spooktacular holiday. We've also got a feeling that a majority of your costumes were inspired by the "Twilight" series.

So, instead of just taking pictures of yourself (and/or your group of friends) decked out in Cullen crests, Volturi robes or Bella jackets and posting them to Facebook afterward, why don't you upload them to http://your.mtv.com/ and let the whole world see just what kind of a devoted fan you are. We'll pick the best and the palest brightest of the "New Moon" costumes we find and post them next week.

Need encouragement? Press play on the video below to see what a few of the stars of "New Moon" think about you dressing up as them. Jackson Rathbone, in fact, would love it if he could hire you for the night (dressed as Jasper) in order to "distract paparazzi." For more with the "NM" cast and a sneak peek at MTV's EXCLUSIVE "New Moon" clip, don't for get to tune into the Ulalume Festival TONIGHT (9pm ET/PT). Afterward, the clip will be posted here on HC!

The votes went in, and the first 20 cities on 100 Monkeys' 100 city tour were announced on their website this week. The band promises that the next 80 cities will go up on November 11.

When we last talked to band member and "New Moon" star Jackson Rathbone, he told us this of the contest: "We have kind of a contest where fans go to the website, they send us in, on our website, where they're from and where they want us to play, and were going to take the top cities and try to hit those first and make sure we get to all the cities that are really begging to see us."

"The Twilight Saga" has spawned hundreds of different merchandise that you can find anywhere from Hot Topic to Borders to Nordstrom. When MTV got a chance to sit down with the cast to promote our exclusive clip (debuting tomorrow night on MTV during the Ulalume Festival at 9pm ET/PT!), they asked the cast the pressing question of whether or not they own any of their own merchandise.

"I do not," admitted Jackson Rathbone, "however my bandmate Ben Graupner actually bought a Jasper pillowcase with my face on it and I had to ritualistically burn it because it was scaring me."

For those who care to look so far back, there was a time when Robert Pattinson was not yet Edward Cullen. Jackson Rathbone, who has since been cast as fellow Cullen, Jasper Hale, at one point had been pretty close to landing the leading male role himself.

"I was a choice. I don't think I was [Catherine Hardwick's] first choice," Jackson told us in a recent interview on the set of his new movie, "Girlfriend."

JigsawWhen we had the chance to interview Jackson Rathbone last week on the set of his new film, "Girlfriend," we couldn't resist asking him some heavy questions, including (but not limited to) whether "Breaking Dawn" will be released as one film or two.

Now, you may be saying to yourself, isn't "Breaking Dawn" set to be released in 2011? Haven't the two movies that come before it not even be released yet? Shouldn't you be asking questions about, say, "New Moon," which comes out in less than a month?

If you've been keeping track of our Jackson covering on Hollywood Crush and MTV.com over the past week, you'd know we already addressed those questions, but still couldn't resist trying to get a little inside scoop on what could possibly be happening (since we know Melissa Rosenberg is going to be penning the screenplay, so at least the ball is rolling).
