Hollywood Crush has moved! come with us to mtv news »

Sexy Shadowhunters (and marvelous mundanes, too) were out, about and dressed to the nines at last night's big L.A. premiere of "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones"—and we've got the pics to prove it. Just fix your peepers on these photos of the cast on the arrivals carpet, and try not to faint over how good they all look.

These premieres are usually a style showcase for the ladies in attendance, but this time around, it was the men of "The Mortal Instruments" who turned up looking eye-catchingly fashionable. Case in point: Jamie Campbell Bower, who sported a cobalt three-piece suit and looked beeeeauuuutiful in blue. Also earning kudos for stylish menswear: Kevin Zegers, who upped the ante on a slim black suit with some white piping on his jacket lapels; Godfrey Gao, who donned a sleek black tux that would've no doubt earned the approval of Magnus Bane himself; and Robert Sheehan, who was unignorable in what looked like the world's most formal paisley pajamas.

Jamie Campbell Bower Lily CollinsThey'll play on-screen love interests Clary Fray and Jace Wayland in the upcoming adaptation of "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones," but off-screen, Lily Collins and Jamie Campbell Bower have parted ways, according to a report from Us Weekly.

The pair are currently on the publicity trail for their urban fantasy film, which opens August 21, and as an "insider" spilled to the magazine, the two "remain very good friends." (Which should hopefully ease any awkwardness spending all those hours together promoting the movie and filming a sequel...)

Lily CollinsIf you can tear your ogling eyes away from the dark and dreamy new "Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" one-sheet, debuted EXCLUSIVELY on Hollywood Crush yesterday, we have something else you might want to see: a brand-new featurette from the Cassandra Clare adaptation, out August 21.

Apple has this tasty bit of fruit from the Nephilim tree: a mix of film footage and behind-the scenes interviews with the cast, including Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower and Jonathan Rhys Meyers.

Predictably, Jamie had arguably the funniest bit of insight to offer regarding his snarky Shadowhunter Jace Wayland's relationship with protagonist Clary Fray:

We've still got months to go before the big theatrical release of "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones," but the MTV crew has found a pleasant way to pass the time: by hanging out behind the scenes with the film's cast of Shadowhunters, getting the inside scoop on what it's been like to bring this fantastic story to life. And there's no contest when it comes to the question of who's the blabbiest actor on set: It's Jamie Campbell Bower, who has so many things to say about making this movie.

For starters, he says, we can expect to see lots of the grim, gritty flavor from the books, thanks to the magic touch of director Harald Zwart: "There's a darkness that Harald has brought to the piece, which I think is easily lost in adaptations, particularly of YA novels," Jamie said. "And there's a reality to it as well, which is nice. It's very easy to go into fantasyland too quickly."

It doesn't take more than a cursory glance at Jamie Campbell Bower's resume to notice a theme. "Harry Potter," "Twilight," "Mortal Instruments"—dude is a serious fantasy buff! And when we caught up with the actor recently at WonderCon, he spilled that he has another otherworldly role on the docket.

"I will be playing a young Gandalf, indeed," Jamie joked of the "Lord of the Rings" character. "That's my next job. You can't tell, but I'm in the process of growing out a very extensive beard."

In all seriousness, though, Jamie confirmed that he is a fan of the genre and that perhaps his casting in all these magical projects isn't simply a coincidence.

Break out your black! A new trailer for the big-screen adaptation of Cassandra Clare's urban fantasy "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" hit the internet last night, bringing with it a deeper look into the secret world of the Shadowhunters through the eyes of heroine Clary Fray, played by Lily Collins.

And while director Harald Zwart may have set some sort of cinematic record for initial trailer turnaround (the first sneak peek debuted mere days after production wrapped in November), it's clear with all of the effects wizardry on display here, that plenty of concentration and care were put into this latest look.

Let's take a closer look after the jump at all that's new and noteworthy in this second trailer.

If there's one thing we learned about "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" director Harald Zwart during his stop at the MTV News offices, it's that he's a bit of a romantic, having cited the film's central love story as one of the major reasons he signed on. But Harald was also quick to credit star Lily Collins, who had already been brought on under previous director Scott Stewart.

"When I came on board, Lily was already cast, and I think she was perfect," Harald enthused. "That's part of the reason I agreed to do the project. I think Lily is absolutely perfect as Clary Fray. You'll see when you see the movie. She's adorable, and she's very tough, and she plays it very realistically. She has a huge range of emotions. And then we got Jamie Campbell Bower on board, and one thing came after another. It's a fantastic cast. I'm really happy about that."

Speaking of Jamie Campbell Bower, the Brit's casting raised plenty of eyebrows among fans, many of whom had been pining after Alex Pettyfer, who had originally been offered the role. But Harald said not to worry: Jamie will win your heart just like his snarky Shadowhunter alter ego did.

It's real, and it's spectacular: the movie adaptation of Cassandra Clare's "Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" began shooting in Toronto this summer, marking the start of production on one of the most exciting book-to-film deals ever to exist. And because we are all up in the "City of Bones" business, MTV News took a trip to the set for a chat with the cast and a behind-the-scenes peek at a moment from the books that fans will surely recognize.

You do recognize it, right? That's Clary, played by Lily Collins, attending a seriously kickin' house party for the supernatural set. (Look closely, and you may see a faerie hooking up with a satyr! ...No, okay, we made that up. But still, it could totally happen!) And even from this little glimpse into the inner "City of Bones," it's clear that the filmmakers are taking great care to create a distinctive world that really captures the feel of the books.

Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with staff members. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.

With production on the big-screen adaptation of Cassandra Clare's urban fantasy, "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones," in full swing, it was only a matter of time before we peeped the young cast—smiling angelically, of course— in an official photo. And, look! Here it is!

The stars recently took some time off from destroying demons to align for this fancy photocall, the first of many to come, we suspect. Pictured from left to right are Robert Sheehan (Simon), Jamie Campbell Bower (Jace), Lily Collins (Clary), Kevin Zegers (Alec) and Jemima West (Isabelle).

Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with staff members. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.

Excuse us while we put on our busybody bottoms for a minute, but have you seen the latest snaps of "Mortal Instruments" leads Jamie Campbell Bower and Lily Collins? The co-stars are in Toronto prepping to film the big-screen adaptation of Cassandra Clare's best-selling novel, and, well, here they are holding hands. And it pretty clearly has nothing to do with the movie (in which they play love interests Clary Fray and Jace Wayland).

Cassie told us last year that the two had "incredible chemistry that sort of blazed off the screen" during their film test, so perhaps a big of this on-screen heat has seared into their personal lives? I mean, Jamie is now a single man after parting ways with fiancee Bonnie Wright, and this wouldn't be the first workplace romance for Lily, who dated "Abduction" co-star Taylor Lautner. Of course, this could just be a friendly sign of affection, but we don't make it a habit of holding our best bro's hand while running errands. Just sayin'.
