If you pay close attention to the Twitters, you may have noticed this ecstatic post from "One Tree Hill" star Jana Kramer a few weeks back, "I signed a record deal with Warner brothers Nashville and I'm in the studio right now recording my first song as a recording artist!!!!" The Tweet was quickly removed, but a couple of in-studio photos remained—including one with country legend Dolly Parton!

Well, today OK! magazine not only confirmed the news but had this exciting tidbit to add: Jana will premiere her first single, "I Won't Give Up," on the February 8 episode of her CW series!

As we reported yesterday, "One Tree Hill" actress Jana Kramer (the subject of one of the most "Whaaa??" moments on TV this year) got engaged to her actor boyfriend Johnathon Schaech while spending the Christmas holiday in his Maryland hometown. But, thanks to a video Johnathon posted on his Facebook page, we now we have the details of how the whole thing happened!

Ever the thoughtful boyfriend, Johnathon rented out an entire ice skating rink for what Jana thought was a fun little outing. As demonstrated on the video, Jana, who said she's been skating since she was a kid, is graceful on the ice, but Johnathon's a little less skilled. Jana put it succinctly when she said, "He's like a little Bambi out there. He's like a little Bambi on skates." In John's defense, it was only his second time on ice.

Let's be honest. There are two super-awesome reasons to watch “One Tree Hill.” First, the nonstop crazy pants drama. Kidnapping nannies? Dogs eating transplant hearts? Ghost wives? Yes please! But second, and possibly more importantly, is the fact that the cast is both talented AND attractive. Jana Kramer, who plays troubled actress-turned-aspiring screenwriter Alex Dupre, has gotten to work with the three hottest guys on the show: Robert Buckley, who plays sports agent Clay, James Lafferty, who plays basketball star Nathan, and Austin Nichols, who plays movie mogul Julian.

In case you were wondering, Hollywood Crush is now officially jealous of her. Though it's a seemingly impossible decision, we made her choose between the three men of the show. "I love Austin — he plays Julian. He is amazing," Jana said. "I mean, I have an amazing boyfriend so I don’t look at these guys like that, but that would be my catch."

Just as we suspected, last night's episode of "One Tree Hill" revealed that Jana Kramer's character, actress/model/budding screenwriter Alex Dupre, survived her shocking suicide attempt. When we caught up with Jana last week, she told us what she hopes will happen to Alex as she recovers: that the movie Alex and Julian (Austin Nichols) wrote together goes into production.

"I think that's the only way I would stay in Tree Hill — if they film the movie," she explained to Hollywood Crush. "That's how I think it's going to go. I want that for her — I want the character to be happy and successful and have something good happen to her."

Longtime "One Tree Hill" watchers shouldn't be surprised when a plotline pulls a major, dramatic, out-of-left-field twist. After all, it seems to happen every other week. But even longtime watchers like myself were shocked at the ending to last week's episode (SPOILER ALERT!) when actress/model/aspiring screenwriter Alex Dupre slit her wrists in her hotel room bathtub. The image of Alex's red blood swirling in the bath water was a haunting note to end the episode on — so we caught up with Jana Kramer, who plays Alex, for the details on her characters tragic actions.

Its hard to understand exactly what was going through Alex's head when she got into the bathtub, but Jana said she thinks Alex just felt so alone after her fight with Julian (Austin Nichols) that she thought it was her only option. "Julian was the only person who actually believed in her. And when he said to never talk to him again, I think she just felt like, This is it, there's nobody else. There's no one. She didn't have any friends. She was alone. Unfortunately, selfishly, for her, her only escape was to try and kill herself, which I personally think is not the right thing to do."
