Unfortunately for all of us "True Blood" fans, we still have quite a wait for the premiere of season five. And while the waiting does indeed suck, MTV News was lucky enough to attend HBO's fancy Golden Globes party on Sunday where we encountered not one but four excellent cast members—Ryan Kwanten, Janina Gavankar, Carrie Preston and Joe Manganiello—who gave us a little preview of what's in store for their characters.

"Jason is hanging onto every shred of humanity as it is, and he was lucky to survive last season. He was on the brink of death several times," Ryan said of Jason Stackhouse's failed werepanther transformation. "This season he's finally becoming a man, I think. He's got responsibility in his life. He's in a position of authority too because Andy is not doing too well with being a sheriff."

When it comes to our No. 4 pick for most-anticipated flicks of 2012, there shouldn't be any surprise about the selection. After all, it's no secret that the Hollywood Crush staff has a well honed, highly enthusiastic appreciation for the finer, er, points of the male beast...all of which will be on, ahem, full display in this edgy, envelope-pushing drama starring the infinitely ogle-able Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer and Joe Manganiello.

Yes, we're talking about "Magic Mike."

And yes, just to be clear, we're talking about a whole lotta hot naked man-meat.

Ladies, stop what you're doing. Put down the leftover cranberry sauce; step away from the eggnog dregs; hold off on your fifth try-on of that can't-decide-if-it's-hideous-or-not holiday sweater. Because right now, five semi-clothed gentlemen would like to show you something.

Yep, it's here: the first official photo has finally arrived from the set of "Magic Mike," the new Steven Soderbergh movie about hot-bodied male strippers on a journey of self-discovery. And let's just say that there's, ahem, a lot to discover when you're talking about Alex Pettyfer, Channing Tatum, Joe Manganiello and Matt Bomer in a nude revue.

Hopefully you romantic comedy-loving masses aren't tired of the ensemble-style film just yet because after ringing in this week's "New Year's Eve," you should circle a May 2012 due date on your calendar for "What to Expect When You're Expecting."

The big story surrounding the film so far is its all-star cast which, thanks to the release of the first official trailer on Yahoo! Movies Thursday, we now know includes the following couples: Elizabeth Banks and Ben Falcone, Dennis Quaid and Brooklyn Decker (the joke about their age gap is in the film, don't worry!) Anna Kendrick and Chace Crawford, Cameron Diaz and Matthew Morrison, and Jennifer Lopez and Rodrigo Santoro. There is also lots of shirtless Joe Manganiello flanked by the "dudes group" of funny men Chris Rock, Thomas Lennon, Rob Heubel and Amir Talai.

If you've been salivating over the moody, mysterious, rapid-cut preview for "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo"...well, maybe you shouldn't watch this! Because the folks at Funny or Die have made their own version of this fascinating video—and made sure that we'll never again enjoy the trailer for the first Hollywood installment of Lisbeth Salander's story without also, involuntarily thinking of the words "Jager s---s". THANKS A LOT, GUYS.

(This probably goes without saying, but the clip has some salty language...)

"The Girl With the Tramp Stamp Tattoo" is like a nightmare version of the much-anticipated feature film, complete with a pink scooter, projectile vomit and—yes—a giant butterfly tattoo in That Particular Spot on the back of Emma Roberts. Who seriously sells it, by the way; her performance as "Lisbeth" is so brilliantly trashy that it'll pretty much ruin any goose-pimply anticipation you might've had for the real-deal thriller. But hey, it's funny! Sort of! And we're seriously digging the bespectacled look on Joe Manganiello.

We interrupt your regularly scheduled "Twilight" programming for this message about one of our other favorite vampire series: "True Blood." Because you know what? They're going back to set. Like, soon!

When MTV News' own Jim Cantiello caught up with star Joe Manganiello at last night's GQ Men of the Year event, the hunk not only revealed that Bon Temps is back in business in just a week and a half, but that he's also gotten his paws on two scripts! So what can we expect?

"There's going to be a lot of werewolves," Joe dished. "A lot of new werewolves. Which I'm very excited about. I'm excited to meet them all."

Confession: There is nothing I love more than a great bromance. Whether between real-life guy friends, two fun characters on TV or the actors who play them. There's just something adorably warm and fuzzy about affection shared and expressed between two dudes.

The men in the "True Blood" cast are especially bromantic, and it's awesome. (My favorite example: That scene in the season three finale, when Eric says to Alcide and Bill: "If you two are done eye-f---ing each other, can we go?") In addition to Alexander Skarsgård recently hinting at more Bill-Eric moments, MTV News had a chance encounter with Stephen Moyer, who's equally enthused about the idea.

Before we approached Stephen with the bromance angle, however, we wondered if he'd had a chance to read the season five scripts yet, which we knew were delivered to the cast members recently.

"How did you hear that?" a suspicious Stephen asked when we chatted with him at TeenNick's HALO Awards. (We're MTV, yo. We've got people.) "Yes we did [get them]. I haven’t read it yet. I haven’t had a moment to. It’s been busy the last few weeks and days, so I haven’t had a chance," he admitted. "I was talking about it today, I really must. Anna [Paquin] hasn’t read it either."

So this "Magic Mike" movie... I've said it once, and I'll keep saying it until I get to see the film, but gracious sakes, could this male cast be any hotter? Not only that, but everything we hear about it gets me more and more anxious and hopeful that director Steven Soderbergh will really deliver the goods (pun totally intended) when it finally arrives in theaters.

Yesterday we brought you the hilarious tale of thong wearing gone wrong by cutie pie Matt Bomer, and today we've got an equally exciting tidbit from Matt's co-star Joe Manganiello, who teases that there is a lot of nakedness in the movie.

"[Everyone is] pretty damn naked, and probably more naked than in 'True Blood' even, if you can believe it," Joe told us. "There are some dicey, dicey scenes in there. A lot of girls get naked too."

As is its custom, "True Blood" dealt us some serious cliffhanger-y blows last season. SPOILERS ahead, obviously, if you haven't seen the action-packed season four finale. We're dealing with a lot of loose ends heading into season five: Russell Edgington rose from the cement, Tara seemed to be mortally shot, Reverend Steve returned to attack Jason, Sookie swore off men and Debbie Pelt lost her head.

Personally, as a superfan of Alcide and Charlaine Harris' fourth Stackhouse book, "Dead to the World," I was very pleased that Alan Ball and Co. finally had horrible Debbie Pelt dealt a fatal blow via a blast from Sookie's shotgun. So when MTV News happened upon Alcide himself, Joe Manganiello, at the Scream Awards red carpet, I asked him if he knows whether season five will follow Charlaine's storyline in the books (meaning he won't find out about Debbie's death until much later on).

"Am I gonna find out about Debbie? Not having a head? I think we all know," Joe said, at which point I brought up the fact that in the books her death isn't revealed to everyone right away.

Joe ManganielloEleven months after announcing the heartbreaking news that he was getting hitched, comes word that Joe Manganiello is back on the market. Okay, so we know we shouldn't be happy to hear about his pain and heartbreak, but we can't help but be a little excited that maybe we now have a chance with this lupine hottie.

Us Weekly reports that Joe and his fiancée, model Audra Marie, are no longer planning to walk down the aisle together "It's totally over," a pal told the mag. While his rep wouldn't comment on the report, anther insider added, "It was a long time coming. They'll both be better off for it."
