If you thought the Royal Wedding was unavoidable the last few weeks, that was nothing compared to the day-of buzz. There were so many #RoyalWedding tweets (both gushing and griping about the big event) that it's a wonder we weren't hit with a Brit-themed Fail Whale, complete with tea and scones. Some celebs, like Kat Graham (pictured), tweeted what they loved about the royal nuptials. Kat was a fan of now-Princess Kate's down-to-earth approach to makeup for the big day. "I love that Kate Middleton did her own makeup for her wedding...," she tweeted. Melissa Joan Hart was also a fan of the ceremony, tweeting, "Grace Kelly and Princess Diana are very strongly felt at this royal wedding! I wish them both love and joy for decades to come!"

Besides a wedding, there's at least one other great excuse in a girl's life to dress like a princess: prom. The Disney movie of the same name opened today, and it's not just the teen audience that's excited for the flick. Singer-rapper Travie McCoy, whose song is featured in the film, urged fans to hit up opening night. "Can't make it to see me play at Bamboozle tonight? You can always go hear "We'll Be Alright" in PROM in theaters today! http://bit.ly/gK8NQZ."

Big-voiced Brit Adele just broke records in the UK (she's now tied with Dido for second fastest-selling album, with two million copies sold in just 87 days), and she's also getting a lot of love on this side of the pond. Everyone from Donald Faison to Abigail Breslin (pictured) was tweeting her praises today. Donald declared Adele's disc the soundtrack to his life, tweeting, "I know I'm late... But ADELE your album is the new sound track to my life. Wonderful! OMG wonderful!!" And Abigail declared Adele's "Someone Like You" her song of the day and professed her love for the album as a whole, saying, "Song of the day: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_Zs7XS3XUo loving Adele's album '21'."

Meanwhile, the cast of "Community" was pretty pumped about tonight's flashback episode. Danny Pudi called the upcoming ep one of the best yet, tweeting, "Tonight's Community (8/7c NBC) is a laughter festival. Easily one of the most fun episodes to read and shoot. Hope you enjoy it!" Co-star Alison Brie didn't think that was quite enthusiastic enough, however, insisting, "Tonight's #NBCCommunity is going to ROCK YOUR SOCKS OFF!! Not knock them off, but straight up ROCK them off. I'm really excited about it."

News spread like wildfire this morning that Kourtney Kardashian was engaged to her boyfriend Scott Disick. Turns out, that's exactly what it was for Kourtney: news! The reality star addressed the rumors that she would wed her longtime (and, let's be honest, not always beloved) baby daddy, when she wrote from her Twitter page, "WOW!! Where do the mags come up with this stuff? And claiming exclusives? Come on now." While her little sister Khloe Kardashian (pictured here with Kourtney) wouldn't address the story, she did share, "Just saw @KourtneyKardash new house! It looks fab already! Can't wait until everything is unpacked! Mason I can't get enough of you!"

But Kourtney, Scott and baby Mason weren't the only fam with changes ahead. Jessica Alba announced that she and her hubby Cash Warren are expanding their brood, as she linked to her Facebook page from Twitter to tell fans, "It's been a while since I've been on FB & I thought I'd drop by to let you all in on some exciting news>Honor is going to be a Big Sister!" The actress got plenty of well wishes from the Twitterverse, including some from pals like rocker Joel Madden who wrote, "Congrats you two @cash_warren @jessicaalba some of the best parents around. Happy for you guys!! Another superhuman on its way!!!" and his brother-bandmate Benji Madden, "@cash_warren @jessicaalba Congrats you two! You sure do make beautiful babies! Uncle Benj is stoked!"

Mothers often swear they don't have a favorite child (we know it's us—don't deny it), but writers rarely share that equal-opportunity sentiment. We do have favorite stories. Whether it's the subject matter, a playful turn of phrase or interesting angle that makes a piece great, we sometimes just can't help but love one story more than the hundred others.

As 2010 comes to a close, Hollywood Crush staffers took a trip through the archives, each picking the favorite story they wrote this year. We had a lot to choose from, but here before you, is what we consider the best of the best. We hope you enjoy reliving the year through our stories as much as we did.

Have you been sobbing into your gingerbread over the latest spate of celeb breakups?

...Well, okay, us too. (Scarlett and Ryan just looked so pretty together! SOB.) But if you take a look back at 2010, it's clear that this wasn't just a year of heartbreak; it also included a hefty bunch of big, white weddings between the rich and famous! Awww. And today, we're awarding the honors to most memorable matrimonial celebrations of the year—with five famous couples, a Four Seasons ceremony, three little kids, two elephants, and a partridge in a pear tree*.

Brian Austin Green and Megan Fox win the award for best surprise ceremony, when they quietly tied the knot in Hawaii only weeks after announcing their engagement. (To be filed under Things That Will Never Happen Again: the words "Megan Fox" and "quietly" appearing in the same sentence.) But in classic Hollywood fashion, most of the famous weddings on our list were swank, flashy affairs with big guest lists and even bigger names in attendance. For instance: Carrie Underwood's half-a-mil nuptials with Mike Fisher at the Atlanta Ritz, which drew celeb guests like fellow country stars Faith Hill and Tim McGraw; and Alicia Keys' wedding to producer Swizz Beatz, which was officiated by none other than Deepak Chopra.

Winter wedding alert! Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, couple extraordinaire and parents to two adorable kids, finally tied the knot this weekend—putting a state-approved seal on their four-year relationship, and also proving that Stinky Barry from my third grade class was not, in fact, correct in insisting that "first comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the baby in the baby carriage."

People reports that the couple wed at the Los Angeles estate of Nicole's dad, musician Lionel Richie, in an extravagant ceremony that was attended by 130 of their closest friends and family members. Also in attendance: an elephant! Which, between Nicole and Joel and Katy and Russell, seems to be the Next Big Thing in celebrity wedding trends. (Because nothing says "forever in love" like a basketball-sized turd on the altar.)

It seems like so many of our favorite couples of the year are busy being adorable and cute and making us a bit jealous. With so much hot celebrity couples gossip and news all over the place, we decided to round it up to update you on all the goings on!

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez
Biebs and Selena had everyone buzzing when they were spotted on a date in Philly, where they dined at an IHOP and apparently were spotted cuddling. The two were even seen sitting ON THE SAME SIDE OF THE BOOTH during their hangout session on Wednesday.

Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift
These two lovebirds were spotted in Beverly Hills on Thursday driving around in Jakey's Audi. And word has it when the pair were recently hanging out in London, Gwyneth Paltrow hosted a dinner party that they both attended. "Gwyneth seems to have played a role in their relationship," a source explained of how these two ended up as a couple.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart
At a recent cast dinner in Louisiana, it seems that RPattz and KStew only had eyes for each other while at Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar. "Kristen and Rob were very couple-like," a source explained. "There was a lot of hand-holding, sitting next to each other. Everyone was talking around the room, but Kristen and Rob were just talking to each other, not really into the conversations everyone else was having."

As Evan Lysacek, Erin Andrews and Nicole Scherzinger compete in hopes of taking home the coveted disco ball trophy during tonight's season finale of "Dancing With the Stars," some of the hit series' former contestants were reflecting on their time on the dance floor. Last season's breakout star Kelly Osbourne tweeted, "I had so much fun at dancing with the stars but it was really nice to have the shoe on the other foot and watch rather then dance!" Meanwhile, host Brooke Burke promised fans, "Everyone is dancing tonight. Gonna be a huge finale!!!"

With the finale still a few hours a way, you can always kill time watching "Dear John" which came out on DVD today. While its star Channing Tatum posted a friendly reminder, "Buy or rent @DearJohnMovie 2day," rocker Joel Madden had a bone to pick with the movie, writing, "I just stayed up till 330am to watch Dear John and that was the ending....seriously... " But it seemed the Joel was really just upset with Channing, as he told him via Twitter, "@channingtatum you have made me cry in two movies now."

Time magazine's picks for the most influential people aren't just heavy-hitters in the world, but around the Twitterverse, too! From Lady Gaga to Conan O'Brien, some of our favorite tweeters made the cut. Of course, no one has been more instrumental with the social network than Ashton Kutcher, who tweeted his gratitude to Sean "Diddy" Combs (both pictured) for his contribution to the piece, "hey @iamdiddy thanks for you kind words in the Time article."

Diddy wasn't the only one with nice things to say, though. Tweeting siblings were out in full force today, including Joel Madden, who gave a shout-out to his bro, posting, "look at why @joshmadden is the stylish brother http://joshmadden.com/2010/04/the-day-before/." Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian stuck up for her sister Kourtney, who cleared up a tabloid misunderstanding, writing, "I luv how the 'before' picture is 'after' my boob job lol. It should have said before mason and after mason Lies." Kim's response? "Preach."

If you wondered why your internet connection was a little slow this weekend, it's a safe bet that it was Team Conan rushing to get tickets to see Conan O'Brien live! Conan tweeted this morning, " Hey Internet: I'm headed to your town on a half-assed comedy & music tour. Go to http://TeamCoco.com for tix. I repeat: It's half-assed" and a frenzy for tickets quickly followed. Many cities, like LA, Boston and New York had to add second shows, which prompted Conan's Twitter Squirrel (yep, he's got one!) to "write," "Squirrel tip of the day: If you buy tickets to a second show a great place to store them: Your cheeks." Conan will also be performing at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival this summer, where he may just run into fellow comedian and "Parks and Recreation" actor Aziz Ansari who had his own announcement for tweeters, "Happy to announce I'll be back at the comedy stage @Bonnaroo this summer. I'll be announcing a bunch of other tour dates next week."

We're thinking Nicole Richie just might have a future as a comedian when she had us in stitches with this tweet to her fiance Joel Madden and his twin brother Benji Madden, "Happy Birthday @JoelMadden & @BenjaminMadden. You always come 2nd to Tia & Tamara, but not today. Enjoy It." Even Samantha Ronson gave it up to her favorite twin(s), posting, "@JoelMadden you're my favourite twin, but don't tell @cjronson"

Check out what else celebs were tweeting today, from Daniel Cudmore's opinion of the "Eclipse" trailer to Britney Spears asking for one about "Alice in Wonderland"! Follow us @hollywoodcrush to get even more celebrity and pop culture news around the clock!
