She was the woman who once told us "If You Have To Cry, Go Outside." And, this week, Kelly Cutrone drops her advice book, "Normal Gets You Nowhere."
The book not only has pearls of wisdom from the People's Rev founder, but also includes anecdotes from her life that are humorous, heartfelt and honest. But as it turns out, her publisher had a different idea of what she should do this time around.
"They wanted me to rewrite the Ten Commandments… like 'Kelly's Commandments.' [But] I did do a really fun chapter in the book called 'If You're Not Getting F---ed By Midnight, Go Home.' And I think that that’s worth $14.99," she laughed. "Just knowing that as a young woman when you're out at a club if you just remember at 11:59 [p.m.] if you're game ain't happening, it's time to go.

Last year, "The City" star Kelly Cutrone let some of her biggest fans know one thing about growing up and getting a job: "If You Have To Cry, Go Outside." The book—part memoir, part advice tome—became a bestseller, and Kelly, who was first introduced to MTV viewers as the sassy People's Revolution head honcho on "The Hills," is ready to preach some more words of wisdom in her new book, "Normal Gets You Nowhere."
"The book's called 'Normal Gets You Nowhere,' and I really believe that there's all this emphasis right now on young people to be normal, to get it together and I think that’s the worst advice," she explained to MTV News about the book, which drops on May 3 and is available for fans to pre-order right now.

All this week Hollywood Crush will be reliving some of the best moments in "The Hills" history. From the first time we got to see LC walk into the offices at Teen Vogue to the last time she made an appearance on the show, "The Hills" has made us laugh, cry and feel just about every emotion. Here are the show's top 10 moments.
At number 10, who could forget Stephanie Pratt's nearly disastrous interview with Kelly Cutrone at People's Revolution. For someone who wanted to be a handbag designer, Cutrone was a bit confused about why Pratt would want to work at a PR firm.
And while the interview was sprinkled with awkward moments- including the fact that Pratt couldn't actually speak French even though her resume played up that skill- she got the coveted internship spot at the high-powered fashion PR firm. Read more...

The ladies attending the Oscars have gotten dress advice from all the fashion experts, and now "The City" boss Kelly Cutrone and her pal, fashion maven, Diane Pernet, are telling Oscar-presenting hotties Taylor Lautner and Zac Efron just what they should wear to the big show on Sunday.
"I think that they have to be themselves," Kelly told MTV News. "[Taylor] seems like he's not really sure who he is from a fashion perspective. To me he looks more like a bodyguard than a movie star. I'd like to see him in black on black, and maybe no tie, or maybe just a wild bowtie would be fun."

Kelly Cutrone is as straight forward as they come. If watching her on "The Hills," "The City" and her new show, "Kell on Earth," didn’t make that blatantly obvious, then reading her new book, "If You Have to Cry Go Outside," will certainly solidify the PR mavens' brutally honest reputation.
In the book, which is out on bookstore shelves now, she discusses everything from her childhood, her early fascination with MTV, her life a publicist in the cut throat world of fashion PR and her life as a single mother and two-time divorcee. If that doesn't make her fun book-part memoir-part advice column seem like a great read then perhaps Kelly herself can convince you to pick up a copy.

We all know Kelly Cutrone as Whitney Port’s tough-as-nails boss on “The City,” but on her brand new Bravo series, “Kell on Earth” (it premiered last night), this hardworking single mom is ready to show us a lot more about herself and her work.
In her new reality show, Kelly promises to show viewers a very real and in-depth look at life in fashion PR, and perhaps a softer side to her rough personality. "I have another TV show ... we'll have to see [if people like it]. I mean, I know where I fit in on MTV and fit in on 'The City' and I'm coming back," she told MTV News when she stopped by to talk about her new book, "If You Have to Cry, Go Outside."

Remember when Lady Gaga was on "The Hills?" No? That's fine because we've searched deep within the MTV archives and unlocked the September 2008 clip for your enjoyment.
You might be asking yourself: How did we remember that she was on "The Hills?" Well, to be quite honest, we didn't. But, "The City" star Kelly Cutrone did. When she stopped by our offices to chat about her new book, "If You Have to Cry Go Outside," and her new show, "Kell on Earth," the often forgotten Lady Gaga episode was resurrected from reality TV heaven.

February is set to be national Kelly Cutrone Month! "The City" star is premiering her new Bravo reality show "Kell on Earth" and she is releasing her book, "If You Have to Cry, Go Outside: And Other Things Your Mother Never Told You." The book is Kelly's way of sharing with young women everywhere how to be empowered and not let others step on them.
“I felt like there’s a lot of confusion about what it means to be feminine,” she told WWD. “I wanted to write a book that reached out to young women... It covers everything from marriages to relationships to jobs to."
