Love is in the air, Gleeks! While last night’s episode was called “Ballads” it could have very well been called “Crushes” or, more fittingly, “Crushed.” Not to say that the evening wasn’t chock full of ballads (because, oh, was it ever), but unrequited love seemed to be the show’s recurring theme last night.

While Mr. Schue taught New Directions about just what a ballad is, (“Glee” also seconds as “Music for Dummies” most weeks) it seemed Rachel derailed her crush on Finn (Kurt will take it from here, thanks) and focused it on her oh-so-dreamy glee club teacher. As Mr. Schue paired up the McKinley High crooners (Puck with Mercedes, Artie with Quinn, Finn with Kurt and Tina with Other Asian) he got saddled with the saucer-eyed Rachel. Taking over for Diana Ross and Lionel Richie, a visibly uncomfortable Mr. Schue and Rachel set the tone for the evening.

Hold the phone, Gleeks, is a show that’s called “Glee” supposed to make me cry this much? That was the question I had on my mind as I unsuccessfully tried to choke back tears in last night’s super emotional episode, titled “Wheels.” While the series hasn’t shied away from tackling controversial topics before (teen pregnancy, homosexuality) they took it to the next level last night.
They may not have been armed with slushies last night, but there was still some tense situations unfolding with some members of New Directions.

The already complicated love triangle between Finn, Quinn, and Puck (who just keeps getting cuter by the week, no?) got worse as Quinn pressured/threatened Finn to get a job to help her with pregnancy finances. As Finn flounders (the poor guy is just too tall for Olive Garden) Puck steps up to help his baby mama and he proves he can be all she needs out of a partner. Quinn, despite laying into Finn for nearly the entire hour doesn’t (yet) choose Puck. While I’d hate to see Finn get hurt, the flirty food fight between Quinn and Puck made me think they’d make an awfully cute, albeit somewhat dysfunctional, family.

Is it us or are those "Glee" kids simply unstoppable at this point? Whether they are singing at the World Series or gracing a magazine cover, everyone's favorite McKinley High students are poised to take over the world. Need more proof? Their highly-anticipated album dropped today on iTunes and rocketed straight to the #1 spot. And wouldn't you know, the show's stars were downright filled with glee about it. Jenna Ushkowitz tweeted, "Thank you for making us #1 on Itunes already #gleeks! Yall are the BEST!" Kevin McHale posted, "Woke up to the glee soundtrack @ #1 on iTunes, best way to wake up EVER!!! Thank uu!! Keep up the good work! If u don't have it, get it!

After you've downloaded your "Glee" soundtrack (and you better have a good excuse for not already having it!), don't forget, if you're of age, to please go out and vote today. Celebs put out the call for young voters, including Roots and "The Late Show with Jimmy Fallon" drummer Questlove who urged, "people, this election is just as crucial as the presidential election!"

Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with staff members. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.

The cast of "Glee" has a lot to be gleeful about lately (lame pun totally intended). Besides starring on a hit show, the talented stars recently performed at the World Series and captured the cover of Entertainment Weekly . So it's no wonder they took a little break from filming to soak in some Broadway time. Cast members, including Kevin McHale, Amber Riley, Jane Lynch, Chris Colfer and Dianna Agron were Spotted! backstage at the Norah Ephron play "Love, Loss and What I Wore," at Westside Theater. We're guessing they were there to support Jane, who recently joined the production. Jane fans need not fret though, her involvement with "Love, Loss and What I Wore," which has a limited 12-week run, shouldn't affect her role on "Glee."

It was the night of a thousand slushie attacks! With Halloween right around the corner, the only thing scaring the kids of McKinley High School was the threat of getting the dreaded slushie facial. No one was safe, not even former A-listers Finn and Quinn. But, F & Q weren’t the only couple facing some unsavory situations. Engaged teachers Ken and Emma can’t decide on a wedding song — Emma wants the classy “I Could Have Danced All Night” from “My Fair Lady” while Ken opts for the slightly less classy “Thong Song” by Sisqo (“I need something I can shake my moneymaker to,” he cried.)

Emma asks Mr. Schuester to make a mash-up of the two songs for the wedding, which, let’s face it is no small task. But that’s hardly the only thing up Will’s sleeve when he busts a move. Literally. Will shows breaks it down for Young MC’s hip-hop classic “Bust a Move.” It wasn’t the only time he rapped in this episode, either (Matthew Morrison certainly channeled his old boy band days with his rendition of “The Thong Song.” We want more!)

Oil and water. Lauren and Heidi. Mr. Schuster and Sue Sylvester. This week’s episode of “Glee” featured a whole lot of tension, the worst of which was between the club’s polar opposite co-chairs. With the two teachers at each other’s throats, the kids of the glee club debate on what kind of music they want to do form here on out. While Mercedes wants more hip hop, Rachel argues that it’s the glee club, not the crunk club (Mercedes, it turns out, gets her wish granted through most of the episode.) I tend to like the more theatrical numbers they do more, but these guys can make any song sound, well, bangin’.

But, scheming teachers and glee club tension weren’t the only thing plaguing the group. Quinn (who is still acting as Sue’s right hand woman) and Finn cope with their ever-growing pregnancy. The two, who were escorted by Mr. Schuster to their doctor’s appointment, find out they are having a girl (which the ultrasound technician just blurted out to them. Aren’t they supposed to ask if they want to know the sex first?) This spells big trouble for Schuster’s wife, Terri, who has promised him a son.

Quinn’s pregnancy isn’t known by many, so things get hairy when Mc Kinley High’s very own gossip girl, er, boy, Jacob threatens to take the news public on his blog. In fact, he’ll spill the beans about Quinn’s baby and Rachel’s crush on Finn if Rachel doesn’t channel “Sixteen Candles” and give him her underwear! But, Rachel’s already got her plate full when Sue takes it upon herself to split up the glee club into two separate groups, one of which she dubs “Sue’s Kids.”

Welcome to our first ever "Glee" recap! Or, as it will be known from here on out, Gleecaps! After receiving tons of your requests we decided it was time to keep you up to date on everything that's going on at McKinley High School. Just in case you haven't been watching the season beginning (we expect you have a good excuse!) we'll catch you up quickly.

High school teacher Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison) tries to recapture his glory days by starting up a Glee club. The club is a merry bend of misfits, including overachiever Rachel (Lea Michele), dad-to-be jock Finn (Cory Monteith), his pregnant girlfriend cheerleader Quinn (Dianna Agron), newly out-of-the-closet Kurt (Chris Colfer), sassy singer Mercedes (Amber Riley), bad boy Noah (Mark Salling) and fellow outcasts Artie (Kevin McHale) and Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz). The group is in direct competition with the Cheerios, a cheer squad run by the super competitive Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch.) Of course, that isn't the only drama facing the Glee club. Mr. Schuester's wife Terri (Jessalyn Gilsig) has faked a pregnancy to keep him around (meanwhile, he and guidance counselor Emma, played by Jayma Mays, are crushing on each other) and convinces pregnant Quinn to give their baby to her. Phew, now we're all caught up!

Tonight's episode certainly wasn't light on all that drama. While most of us fell in love with "Glee" for its song and dance numbers and sharp comedy, the drama is quickly taking center stage. The episode titled "Vitamin D" (for reasons we find out later) starts with the gang practicing for sectionals. It's hard to believe a group that nailed Queen's "Somebody to Love" would need to practice more, and they feel the same when they find out who they are competing against (criminals and the blind!) Against Mr. Schuester's better judgment he decides to take Sue Sylvester's advice to make the Glee club more competitive with one another (she claims she randomly kicks off one Cheerio a week.) So, Mr. Schuester pits the boys against the girls in a mash-up, face-off. The winning team's song would be the one they use for sectionals. It, for lack of a better word, was on.
