Ryan GoslingSad but true: Awards season sometimes isn't the most exciting time for crushy news coverage (unless, of course, you're the proprietor of a blog called F--- Yeah! Historical Biopics and/or Meryl Streep). But this year? Oh, man, this year is gonna be awesome. Because the Golden Globes nominations are in, and lo, they are fantastic. So when it comes time to tune in for the awards ceremony on January 15, you can bet we'll be keeping a watchful eye on a few key categories. Which noms have the Crush staff so psyched? Check it:

First off: Hey girl, prepare yourself for a double hit of Ryan Gosling; not only is he the rightful heir to the Sexiest Man Alive throne, he's up for best actor in a drama for "The Ides of March", and best actor in a comedy for "Crazy, Stupid, Love." (What's that? You need another reason to watch? Well, fine: Joseph Gordon-Levitt is also up for best comedy actor for his performance in "50/50.") And finally, rounding out the eye candy: Michael Fassbender, with a nomination for best actor (drama) in "Shame."

There's a reason "Bridesmaids" is the No. 1 one R-rated female comedy of all time. It's darn funny...duh! And all the hilarity can soon be yours to have and to hold when the Judd Apatow-produced flick is released on DVD and Blu-ray next Tuesday (September 20).

To ease any cold feet you may have about committing to this rowdy romp, we've got an EXCLUSIVE look at one of the DVD's super-fun featurettes!

Titled "Drunk-O-Rama," this goofy clip captures star Kristen Wiig in one of her most compromising positions. Well, except for that poop scene. And that Jon Hamm sex scene. But, you know, she's not at her sober finest here. As you'll recall, Kristen's character, Annie, is deathly afraid of flying, so she pops a few pills and some liquid courage to make the flight a little smoother. Except, she hits a little turbulence along the way. And we're not talking about the bumpy air kind.

It was television's biggest morning, as the nominations for the 63rd Annual Primetime Emmys were announced, and some of our favorite shows and stars found themselves in the running.

While the face of "Glee" is about to look very different after next season (sigh), it's current cast got some Emmy nod love. Chris Colfer, who is one of the confirmed trio departing after season three, will get one more chance to win an Emmy in the Supporting Actor Comedy race. Jane Lynch, who won last year for her hilarious work as the villainous Sue Sylvester will try her hand in the Best Supporting Actress category (whose other nominees this year include the oh-so-adorable Betty White from "Hot in Cleveland" and the hilarious Kristen Wiig of "Saturday Night Live") again. Better yet, Jane will be hosting the ceremony this year!

You can't make a movie called "Bridesmaids" without at least a small nod to the stark reality of bridesmaids' dresses—namely, that they tend to be a) unflattering, b) uncomfortable, and c) so extravagantly ugly that they seem to be designed explicitly to destroy the self-esteem of the unfortunate lady who finds herself wearing one. (Because nothing says "I value our friendship" like forcing your besties into matching, puffed-sleeve, taffeta muumuus in a delightful shade of puce. THANKS, BRIDEFRIENDS.)

So when it came time to chat with some of the "Bridesmaids" cast members, we had to ask them the obvious question: What's the best use for a bridesmaid dress after the wedding is over?

Kristen Wiig, always a girl after our own hearts, nailed it on the first try: "Kindling?" she said. And indeed, most of these dresses are definitely best put out of their misery...although watch out, because some of those fabrics are highly flammable. (What? Of course those aren't singe marks on our eyebrows!)

For a weekend that was filled with sad news, many took to Twitter, not only to spread the word about how people can do their part for those suffering in Japan, but for some brief escapism in the form of entertainment. Followers of singer Katy Perry learned the latest about her single "E.T." when she posted, "WE'RE #1 ON ITUNES! GREAT news to wake up to! Thank u for ur AMAZING support," while "Harry Potter" actress Emma Watson announced, "It starts with an L and ends with an E. I’m sure you have guessed the new face of Lancôme is me! :-)."

On the other end of the Hollywood spectrum came some particularly great news out of the 2011 SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas. The three-day movie, music and art fest has become a go-to spot for film premieres, which this year includes the comedy Hollywood Crush simply can't wait to see: "Bridesmaids." The flick—and particularly its star/co-writer Kristen Wiig (pictured here in a scene from the movie)—received raves from those who attended the screening. "Paul" star Simon Pegg praised, "It is without doubt the funniest film I have seen in a long, long time. LOVED it" as "The Back-Up Plan" sidekick Michaela Watson assured, "Saw screening #bridesmaids last nite.Hats off to Kristin Wiig 'n everyone else involved for revolutionizing womens' roles in comedy 4 ever!"

Check out the rest of Monday's best tweets from the stars, including Lo Bosworth's excitement over "The Bachelor" finale and Conan O'Brien's safe bet in his March Madness bracket! Follow us @hollywoodcrush to get even more celebrity and pop culture news around the clock!

Because Miley Cyrus has been a staple on "Saturday Night Live" this season thanks to newbie Vanessa Bayer's hilarious take on her exaggerated Southern drawl, one could argue there was no need for the real pop star to grace the stage at Studio 8H. But the prospect of Miley meeting Miley was simply too good for Lorne Michaels and Co. to pass up, and while some stars fall flat when faced with the challenge of live TV, Miley exceeded expectations, and was, shall we say, pretty cool.

It's been a wild week for celebrities, so there was no way "Saturday Night Live" would let the public missteps of A-listers like Charlie Sheen, Christina Aguilera and Lindsay Lohan go unnoticed...or unmocked. The show's opening skit, "Duh! Winning! With Charlie Sheen" featured the embattled CBS star, played by Bill Hader, hosting a round table of other controversial celebs. The skit made light of the antics of these "highly evolved warlocks," all of whom made headlines this week. Miley had a minimal role as Lindsay Lohan, and although she was significantly overshadowed by Bill's spot-on Sheen (Tiger blood!) and Taran Killam's take on recently fired designer John Galliano ("I've got no ugly friends, I dress like a methed-out musketeer, and I've got a mustache that says: 'I'm a bad person'"), the only thing about her that really screamed Lilo were her faux blond locks and over-sized handbag.

Live from New York...it's Miley Cyrus! That's right, Crushers, it was announced this morning that Miley will be hosting the March 5 episode of "Saturday Night Live." Since Miley won't be serving double duty as host and musical guest (no word on who will be providing the tunes that evening) we had some ideas for how she could show off her comedic chops. Here's what we'd love to see Miley do for her first time hosting "SNL":

"The Miley Cyrus Show" is, like, pretty cool!:
You have to hand it to "SNL" cast member Vanessa Bayer for her imitation of Miley during the skit "The Miley Cyrus Show." Vanessa all but has Miley's voice and mannerisms down to a science, plus she's coined one of the best "SNL" catch phrases in a long time, "It's pretty cool!" How hilarious would it be if Miley, in true good sport fashion, came on as a guest to "The Miley Cyrus Show"?! Bonus points if her dad Billy Ray Cyrus also comes by to come face-to-face with his "SNL" impersonator Jason Sudeikis! That would be, say it with me now, pretty cool!

Viva la "Hannah Montana"! :
Miley may have retired her Hannah Montana character, but it doesn't mean she can't revisit her blond-haired pop star alter ego for a skit. We've got to imagine the "SNL" writers can come up with some pretty clever scenarios for Hannah.

Get digital with Andy Samberg:
The digital shorts are always bizarrely hilarious (case in point, Emma Stone's clumsy clip from last year), but they go to a different level whenever Andy Samberg is involved. From his inappropriate, but hilarious, Lonely Island songs to those unforgettable Justin Timberlake appearances, the Samberg digital shorts always tend to go viral the quickest.

Stop whatever you're doing, take a seat, and grab hold of something sturdy, y'all—because we are about to blow. Your. MIND. Why? Because the trailer for "Bridesmaids," the first female-driven comedy to come out of the Judd Apatow Funny Machine, made its first appearance on the internet yesterday.

And as far as we can tell, it's actually funny.

If you're a girl, you know that this is big news—because most of the movies that Hollywood makes for female audiences are... what's the word we're looking for?... oh, right. LAME. Excruciatingly, horrifically lame. ("Bride Wars"? "Made of Honor"? "Mamma Mia"?! Seriously, guys—it doesn't matter how many cute dudes and big froufy wedding gowns you cram into a film, we're still going to notice that the movie's not great.) But "Bridesmaids," which was written by Kristen Wiig and stars a veritable herd of hilarious women, looks less like a simpering rom-com and more like "The Hangover"... except, y'know, for girls.

Here's a winning formula for a pitch-perfect female-driven comedy: take five funny ladies, dress them in punky pink frocks worthy of Totally Hair Barbie and watch the hilarity that ensues as they try to get their friend down the aisle.

Enter "Bridesmaids" Kristen Wiig, Rose Byrne, "The Office"'s Ellie Kemper, "Gilmore Girls"' Melissa McCarthy and "Reno 911!"'s Wendi McLendon-Covey (plus bride-to-be Maya Rudolph!). With the help of producer Judd Apatow and director Paul Feig, they're starring in what's sure to be one of the best female ensemble comedies yet.

The movie doesn't hit cineplexes until May, but the cheeky "Bridesmaids"' movie poster debuted today on Moviefone, hinting once again at the film's potential awesomeness with a seriously sassy one-sheet. To be sure, this production is far from the first to center around bridesmaids, but it looks to have a special something we'll say "I do" to. Let's look at how this laugher will likely compare to its wedding-centric predecessors.

Thank you, "SNL." Hot on the heels of Emma Stone's bang-up hosting turn comes news that two more Crush-approved celebs will grace the Studio 8H stage come November: Scarlett Johansson and Anne Hathaway!

Neither starlet is a stranger to the NBC sketch comedy show. Scarlett's Nov. 13 appearance (with musical guest Arcade Fire) will be her third time hosting (though her fourth time on the show if we count her surprise cameo during hubby Ryan Reynolds' show). For her part, Anne will get a second notch on her "SNL" belt when she hosts November 20 with (!!!) Florence and the Machine.

Since both ladies are old hats at the improvisational game, we hope they can not only revisit some of their previous sketches but also pioneer a few new knee-slappers. Here's our wishlist for the sketches we want to see when the lovely ladies host "SNL."
