Lauren Conrad split from boyfriend Kyle Howard back in June, and for the former "Hills" star, it seems the best way to mend a broken heart is by jumping right back on the dating bandwagon. And, if all the rumors are true, LC has been jumping...a lot. And most recently with a "Glee" star?
Let's start earlier this year. LC first made headlines over the summer, when she was spotted with "Teen Wolf" star Colton Haynes. Colton shrugged off the rumors that anything romantic was brewing between the two, telling Ryan Seacrest, "I've known Lauren for about four-and-a-half years now. We're really good friends."

After being whisked away on a surprise trip to Cabo by boyfriend Jay Cutler, Kristin Cavallari returned to the States with a big, shiny smile on her face...and a bigger, shinier engagement ring on her pretty little finger, according to People. Aww! We love it when MTV alumni find love. And while we wait for Kristin to announce her upcoming wedding date (and leak a photo or two of the reportedly 5.2-carat rock, because come on), we thought we'd check up on the marital status of her fellow "Hills" co-stars. What's happening in the love lives of our favorite California girls? Check it!
Lauren Conrad has been happily coupled with boyfriend Kyle Howard for more than two years—though she's in no hurry to walk down the aisle. The star of "The Hills" has repeatedly squashed any rumors that the two are engaged, claiming that she's way too busy with her professional pursuits as an author, designer and style icon. (Psh. BORING.) Still, our money's on Lauren as the next one to tie the knot.

Lauren Conrad might be gracing the cover of Allure's spring "Nude" issue, but don't expect to see her baring all inside the magazine. Instead, Lauren keeps her clothes firmly in place while opening up about self-image, body issues and a leftover point of confusion from her days as a reality TV star.
First things first: If you're wondering why Lauren didn't opt in for the nude shoot (where stars-in-the-buff include Ashley Tisdale, Kaley Cuoco, Keri Hilson and Bridget Moynahan), look no further than her own assessment of her, um, assets:
"I’m not a sexy person," she said. "I’m okay with it. I’ve never been the sexy girl. Whenever I’ve had a boyfriend, he’s always been like, 'Oh, you’re cute.'"

Lauren Conrad has kept busy since leaving "The Hills" in 2009. And now the reality-star-turned-novelist just signed on to write three more young adult novels for publisher HarperCollins, reports Us Weekly. Lauren first warmed our YA-loving hearts with her best-selling page turner "L.A. Candy," which followed the "fictional" Jane Roberts—who becomes famous for living her life on television and goes on to intern in L.A. amid boy and BFF troubles.
We couldn't put down the quasi-autobiographical "Candy" books, but we're kind of even more excited for Lauren's new series—a spin-off trilogy called the "The Fame Game." Lauren definitely takes the adage "write what you know" to heart. "The Fame Game" will also take place in the world of reality television, something the former star of "Laguna Beach" and "The Hills" knows plenty about. This time, however, the story will focus on the character Madison from her first series.

There's bound to be a little extra singing on the set of "Glee" as the cast warms their pipes to sing "Happy Birthday" to co-star Amber Riley, who turns 24 today! In fact, many of her co-stars sent Amber (pictured) some additional b-day wishes on Twitter today, including Naya Rivera who posted, "Happy happy birthday!!! @msamberpriley love you!" Jenna Ushkowitz wrote, "happy birthday to my sis, @msamberpriley :)" while Dianna Agron suggested, "Happy Birthday @msamberpriley! I think we need more dancing...." The jubilant birthday girl took to her page to tell friends and followers alike, "Thank you to everyone that has wished my a Happy Birthday, I'm reading each one and I feel the love with each tweet!"
Unfortunately, Amber wasn't feeling the love yesterday during Joan Rivers' post-Grammy Awards fashion wrap-up. It seems as though the brash comedienne and her tough-to-please Fashion Police didn't love the "Glee" star's threads this time around, to which Amber could only laugh off, "LOL omg Joan Rivers is insane, from best to worst! Thanx Fashion Police! At least I was in good company, I though Kim and Katy looked gorge!" While Amber found herself on the dreaded "worst dressed" list, it seems Joan finally had a change of heart for Snooki, thanks to her Grammy dress. The pint-sized "Jersey Shore" star wrote from her page today, "Wohoooo I got Joan Rivers approval finally ! Lol
Thanks hot stuff."

February 1st seemed to be chock-full of celebrity birthdays from Lauren Conrad (who turns 25 today) to "Glee" star Heather Morris, who turns 24. The actress-singer-dancer got plenty of birthday wishes from her "Glee"-mates, including Naya Rivera who shared, "Happy birthday Heather Morris!! On my my to work to tell her in person!" But, Ashley Fink (a.k.a. Lauren Zizes) had a different kind of gift for Heather (pictured), as she tweeted,"#HappyBirthdayHemo I love that Heather Morris. I'm gonna kiss her face!"
Elsewhere, Rachelle Lefevre may not be appearing in the final chapters of "The Twilight Saga," but that doesn't mean the actress (who celebrates her 32nd b-day today) isn't still part of the family. That was evident as some of her former co-stars took to their Twitter pages to send Rachelle birthday wishes, including Edi Gathegi, who wrote, "Happy Birthday to my sweet sweet @RachelleLefevre i hope today is splendiferously phantasmagoric."

With one fashion line, four books and two reality-show roles under her belt, Lauren Conrad has accomplished more by her mid-20s than most people will in their whole, sad, sorry little lives...not that we're jealous or anything. And since today is Lauren's big 25th birthday, we've put our heads together to come up with a list of five great gifts that could make the next year her best yet. So, what do you get for the girl who has (let's face it) everything? Here's hoping that Lauren's birthday brings her some fab stuff like...
1. A lifetime supply of oversized sunglasses
The reality star's big, '60s-inspired sunnies are one of the most recognizable elements of her distinctive style—so clearly, her birthday should bring on a truckload of 'em.
2. A successful spin-off
Lauren's latest book project is a follow-up to her "L.A. Candy" series, focusing this time on the villainous character Madison. Although her first foray into publishing already scored top honors with a spot on the New York Times Bestseller list, a second showing would still be nice.
3. Some bling for That Finger
We've heard an unsubstantiated rumor or two that Lauren is getting close to making it legal with boyfriend Kyle Howard. Just gossip? Maybe! But let's just say that if we were Kyle, we'd be eying a certain sparkly something to give L.C. for her B.D.

Lauren Conrad's New Year's resolution? To go dark, apparently! The former "Hills" star attended this week's 50th anniversary CoverGirl celebration having bid her blond locks bye-bye in favor of a brunette 'do.
Us Weekly spoke with Lauren's stylist, Kristin Ess, who explained the starlet's new look. "It was just time to go for it," she said. "We've done so many variations of blond in the past and it's fun to do something new." Though it is a new look for the reality star, whom we've known as a blond since her TV debut on MTV's "Laguna Beach," we bet this soft brown shade more closely matches her darker, natural roots.
What do you think, Crushers? Are you a fan of Lauren's new locks? Vote in our poll after the jump to tell us what you think!

Show of hands: Who agrees that 2010 was a pretty darn good year for YA novels? Our bookcase certainly tells the tale: Suzanne Collins set the world ablaze with the gripping finale to her "Hunger Games" saga. Stephenie Meyer surprised us with a "Twilight" novella we didn't see coming. And Hilary Duff took on a new role as author, debuting her very first novel. We were protected by the ever-vigilant eyes of the Shadowhunters and watched our backs for evil Strigoi. We went back to the beginning with our favorite fashionista and got an extra sweet dash of L.A. candy.
All in all, we hardly had time to devour all of this year's stellar reads. We certainly have our favorites, but we want to hear from you: What was your favorite YA novel released this year? Cast your vote after the jump. The poll will be open until December 14 at 12 p.m. (ET) when we'll announce the results!

We've got to hand it to Taylor Swift—the girl knows how to keep people talking. A few weeks ago, all the chatter centered around her new album, Speak Now, and speculation about which celebrity exes (John Mayer? Taylor Lautner?) were the subjects of her revealing songs. Just when the attention began to die down, the country cutie got our gums flapping again, debuting a brand-new look at last night's American Music Awards. The usually frilly dresser opted instead for an edgier look, swapping out her ethereal, candy-colored gowns for a dark, embellished Collette Dinnigan mini-dress. Even more eye-catching was her new 'do—eschewing her signature ringlets, Taylor flaunted a stick-straight style accented by heavy bangs.
While the look was quite the departure for Miss Swift, we couldn't help but be reminded of a few other starlets who've sported a similar style throughout the years. Check out a few entrants from our banging blonds inspiration photo gallery:
