It's been a pretty eventful August for Hilary Duff. Hot on the heels of celebrating her one-year wedding anniversary to hockey player Mike Comrie and announcing her pregnancy, word came today from The Hollywood Reporter that Hilary will not star as Bonnie Parker in the upcoming indie flick "The Story of Bonnie and Clyde," set to film later this year.
While the rumor mill initially speculated that Hilary dropped out due to her pregnancy, the flick's producers told Entertainment Weekly that's not the case, and that it was simply a scheduling conflict. Turns out Clyde (i.e. "Gossip Girl" actor Kevin Zegers) is out, as well. (Here's hoping that "Georgetown" TV series actually happens so we can get our Kevin fix.)
Anyway...with vacant seats in Bonnie and Clyde's getaway car, we thought we'd cast a couple beautiful blonds to fill Hilary's handcuffs. Check out our picks for Bonnie after the jump!

Have you IMDb-searched Penn Badgley lately? No? Well, before we hit up Cosmopolitan magazine's 2011 Fun Fearless Males party in New York City on Monday night, we did and we were excited and confused to see that the "Gossip Girl" star is attached to a project called "One Night With You," which may also star Taylor Swift and Lindsay Lohan.
We asked the source himself whether he knew anything about the project and his stunned look and completely adorable answer kind of confirmed that the movie is probably just Internet rumor.
"What? Attached to something with who? Taylor Swift? Oh I don’t know anything about that," he explained to us, before laughing it all off. "I'm attached! I got a job! I did it! I don’t know. What's it about? I'm curious! 'One Night With You.' That’s not true."

"On Wednesdays we wear pink."
"Get in loser, we're going shopping!"
"Four for you, Glen Coco. You go, Glen Coco!"
"It's like I have ESPN or something."
"Boo, you whore."
"Mean Girls" is, without question, one of the most quotable movies of all time. In fact, those examples above are just a small sampling of the famous lines fans find themselves saying after multiple viewings of the 2004 comedy classic starring Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams.
So when MTV News recently sat down with "Mean Girls" co-star Amanda Seyfried, who made her big screen debut when she played none other than ditzy, weather-predicting "plastic" Karen Smith ("There's a 30 percent chance that it's already raining!"), we couldn't help but bring up the oft-repeated flick.
When we asked Amanda, who stars in the upcoming fairy tale thriller "Red Riding Hood," if there's a day that goes by when fans don't come up to her to quote "Mean Girls," she admitted, "There are a few days, yeah!"

TGIF took on a whole new meaning around the Twitterverse today: Thank God It's Franco! Yes, the oh-so-handsome Oscar-nominee/host James Franco (who already has something of a limited filter as is) added one more thing to his ever-expanding list of titles and became an official member of Twitter and Facebook. The "127 Hours" star put up his maiden tweet, which read, "Hi everybody, here I am on Twitter! This is my FIRST tweet..." and posted a video of himself with it. On the vid, James (pictured), addressed his fans to assure them, "This is the authentic Facebook, and Twitter, and every other page." He continued, "All those other ones are imposters, I've decided to go on to the web, and this is the real thing. So welcome, don't listen to those other pages." James, consider it done!
Friday was already off to a good start, what with "I Am Number Four" opening in theaters today! One of the movie's stars Dianna Agron got some support from her "Glee"-mates about her highly anticipated flick, including Cory Monteith who posted, "'I Am Number Four' opens tonight! go see @alittlelamb rock the big screen!" and Iqbal Theba (a.k.a. Principal Figgins) who also alerted followers, "'I Am Number Four' starring @alittlelamb opens today!"

A historic day in world history became all the talk of Twitter, as the news that Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak had resigned and relinquished his power. Many celebrities went on their pages to express their feelings towards the people of Egypt, who have been part of the massive protests over the past 18 days. Ian Somerhalder posted his thoughts on the revolution in the country, "Congratulating the people of Egypt- freedom is every living person's right! You deserve it! Dictators be done!" while Nick Lachey wrote, "big day in #egypt! congrats to all the people there who finally made their voices heard!." Elijah Wood opted to write a simple, yet powerful message, "Power to the people."
On the other spectrum of the Twitterverse, there was plenty of buzz surrounding Lady Gaga's latest single, "Born This Way." Before the song hit iTunes and radio early this morning, Lindsay Lohan counted herself among the many fans who couldn't wait to listen, as the actress told followers, "I'm so excited for Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" to drop! - http://say.ly/UBU8wX." After the little monsters had a chance to check out the tune, many couldn't help but hear some similarities between Gaga (pictured) and Madonna. Chris Daughtry tweeted, "Just listened to a clip of Lady Gaga "Born This Way" and I gotta say...sounds a lot like "Express Yourself" from Madonna" and Kevin McHale noticed it, too, "kk glad im not the only one feeling like i just heard a "new" madonna song.."

Love was in the air at Sunday night's Screen Actors Guild Awards, where the winners were gracious and the losers were too! "Glee" may have lost the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy award to the cast of "Modern Family," but they could only sing their praises. Amber Riley tweeted, "Congratulations Modern Family! You totally deserve it!!!!" Elsewhere, an elated Rico Rodriguez (a.k.a. Manny) tweeted about his cast's win, "Thank you to every SAG member who voted for us. It's a huge honor! So happy that I get to share this w/ my cast! http://t.co/TEOfdsG."
Meanwhile, Rico's on-screen mom Sofia Vergara wasn't just excited about their SAG victory, she was also giddy about meeting Betty White. Sofia, who lost in her category, Outstanding Female in a Comedy Series, to the amazing, unstoppable Betty (pictured), shared with followers, "I'm in heaveeen!!! http://yfrog.com/gzic4wmj." It seems everyone, even actors watching the ceremony from home, was in awe of the 89-year-old actress (who won her first-ever SAG award for her work in the comedy "Hot in Cleveland"), including Lindsay Lohan who wrote, "Betty White is the cutest!!!! So sweet & funny #sagawards."

Last night's decisive championship games earned the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers a spot in the Super Bowl, much to the delight, dismay and, well, sometimes indifference, of many celebs on Twitter. While Chloe Moretz pondered, "sooo...who should i support steelers? or packers?" her "Kick-Ass" co-star Christopher Mintz-Plasse (both pictured) had a suggestion for her, "Packers! Let them get passed the favre stuff. Rodgers is the man." Of course, P. Diddy would tell Chloe otherwise, as the rapper-actor waved his Terrible Towel on Twitter, "I've been a Steelers FAN SINCE I was 10!!!! That's a Long Time!!! Let's Goooooo!!!!"
While football fans will still have to wait two more weeks until the Super Bowl, music fans got some sneak peeks of new videos for both Britney Spears and Miranda Cosgrove! Britney posted a preview of her vid for "Hold It Against Me", "Day 2 is a wrap! #HIAM video coming soon.... http://twitpic.com/3swwit" as Miranda shared a picture from the set of her latest, "On the video set! This is the most fun Ive ever had on a video shoot! Dancing all night long

Like Gretchen Weiners and her attempts at making British slang popular stateside, we should all just stop trying to replicate the genius of "Mean Girls," because let’s face it: it's never going to happen. Creating a sequel that's at all close to Tina Fey's brilliantly funny 2004 film is a tall order for anyone to accomplish, and this direct-to-DVD flick, which premiered last night on ABC Family, will make you pine for pre-rehab Lindsay Lohan like Karen Smith pines for Seth Mosakowski (What? He’s a good kisser!).
Cady Heron (Lindsay) warned any younger girls who dared to disturb the social peace she had established at the end of the film, yet of course mean girls are everywhere, and every once and awhile comes a heroine who sets out to defy the preexisting social order. In the newest installment, said heroine is Jo Mitchell (Meaghan Martin), a tomboy who's been forced to move around with her NASCAR mechanic father for most of her life, landing at North Shore on what is supposed to be a "pit stop" (that’s race car humor for you) before college at Carnegie Mellon. Jo is not so much clueless to the politics of high school as she is opposed to them, as seen by the way she breaks conventional rules by riding a Vespa, excelling at shop class and wearing (temporary) blue and pink streaks in her hair. Radical! And unlike fresh-faced Cady Heron, who never went to a real school and thus never understood the strategic importance of holiday cards, Jo is outspoken and unafraid to reveal her utter disdain for the drama of Girl World.
Accept no substitutes, Gleeks. Last night’s episode was one of the best (if not, the very best) of the season so far. It had everything that makes "Glee" great: surprising musical numbers, with the right balance of humor and life lessons. Not to mention the fact that "The Substitute" had one of the most anticipated guest stars of the series, Gwyneth Paltrow, who passed with flying colors.
So what brought the Oscar-winning actress to the halls of McKinley High? After the dreaded (monkey) flu sweeps through the school, it renders Mr. Schuester ill (but not before giving us THE MOST ADORABLE HALLUCINATION EVER when he imagined tiny tot versions of his students), and a substitute is called in. Cue: Holly Holliday (played by Ms. Paltrow), a free-spirited, if not flaky sub who shakes things up with New Directions.
Holly lives by a philosophy of doing what you like, when you like and encourages her students to do the same. Not only does she have a sharp tongue (when Santana burned her with, "You’re, like, 40" she immediately fired back, "Top 40, sweet cheeks") but an impressive voice as well. Gwynnie has done her fair share of singing before, but she definitely held her own in the glee club’s clean rendition of Cee Lo Green’s "Forget You," as well as her "Chicago" duet with Rachel. In short, I’m glad this isn’t a one episode guest stint.

Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with staff members. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.
New York City's Lower East Side got a special treat Sunday when Rihanna filmed her new music video for "What's My Name?" We're not quite sure what look she was going for with her nude tights, colorful short-shorts, black corset and zebra-striped jacket, but she's definitely decided on her bright red hair and is sticking with it.
We saw the new look for the first time at the MTV Video Music Awards earlier this month, and it divided fans. Some of you loved it, and others memorably compared it to the Mozilla Firefox logo. Maybe she is just keeping it around for her music video, but we have a feeling this is the look Rihanna is going to be wearing for a while.
Click on the photo above to see the full, head-to-toe look and who else MTV Spotted!, including Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino showing off his "situation" at a Men's Fitness photoshoot and Lindsay Lohan at the Ana de Costa jewelry show.
