Vampire Diariesby Cassie Title

If Mystic Falls wasn’t enough of a weird, supernatural vortex for you (vampires, werewolves and hybrids, included) than last night’s influx of ghosts must’ve made you pretty happy. You know who else was pretty happy? Basically, no one. Starting with...

Damon. As the episode opened, dude was tied up and bound in a chair. I, for one, had a sneaking suspicion that this was not going to turn into the S&M scene we’ve all been waiting for, but a girl can dream. Who had tied Damon up if it wasn’t sexy Katherine (is she alive?!), or finally-succumbing-to-the-tension Elena, or evil-ripper Stefan? Mason Lockwood, of course! The dead, ghostly werewolf. Damon couldn’t see him, but using his smarts, figured out that the torture scene that unfolded was parallel to the scene in which he killed dear Mason. So, he went to find...

The sophomore season of The CW's "Vampire Diaries" was full of the requisite twists and turns we've come to expect, but executive producers Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec even outdid themselves with the closing moments of "As I Lay Dying."

Yes, we are indeed referring to the shocking, astounding, out-of-nowhere return of Jeremy's dead vampire girlfriends, Anna and Vicki. (It wasn't our No. 1 most OMG! moment for nothing!) Of course, the minute the closing credits rolled, we knew we had to call up Hollywood Crush BFF Malese Jow to dish about what we had just seen. BECAUSE ANNA IS BACK! Here's what the actress had to say about the big reveal, "TVD"'s "Bachelor" connection and Steven R. McQueen's ever-increasing adorableness.

I don't want to write this. Because writing this makes it real. And this is a reality I cannot deal with: "The Vampire Diaries" is done until season three. According to my fervid internet research and informed hypothesizing, I can expect lovely new episodes in September (or around there). Which means that there will be about four months of cold sweats, night terrors and general aimlessness.

Say it with me, friends: Hello, my name is Cassie (well, insert your name) and I'm a "TVD"-aholic. And I’m already going through withdrawal.

Here’s what you need to know about last night’s ffffinale (apologies, typing that was a little rough). Jeremy is Haley Joel Osment. Sheriff Forbes is an idiot. And Damon’s not dead.

OK, great! That’s it. Enjoy the next four months.

Yeah, yeah, I was kidding. I am sucking it up. I am typing through the pain. Here we go.

ALMOST EVERY RIDICULOUS THING THAT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT ON THIS SHOW THAT’S MAKING ME WAIT FOUR OR SO MONTHS TO WATCH NEW EPISODES:

My fellow YA novel enthusiasts, if you haven't read Lauren Oliver's thoroughly engrossing love story, "Delirium," you best get yourself to a Barnes & Noble, like, right now because the dystopian tome is headed to the multiplex!

Deadline reports that Fox 2000 has purchased the screen rights to the New York Times bestselling novel, in addition to signing a first-look deal with Lauren's company Paper Lantern Lit (meaning more of the author's works could land in theaters in the coming years).

For the uninitiated, "Delirium" is set in a world where love is considered a disease, which is cured by a lobotomy-like procedure. Enter 17-year-old Lena Haloway, who just weeks before her surgery comes down with the dreaded sickness (a.k.a. she meets a boy). Lena begins to reevaluate the world as she's known it, questioning whether the government is really the one who should pick her husband, and essentially, her life path.

I, for one, am really excited to see this work come to life, not only because it is an engaging read (seriously, there was sobbing...from me), but "Delirium" is also written with an eye for the visual (I'm thinking of one particular scene involving an aptly timed cattle stampede...). With production still in its earliest stages, we figured it the perfect opportunity to hop on the Hollywood Crush Casting Couch and pick a few favorites for the lead role of Lena.

Here is how Lena describes herself: "I'm not ugly, but I'm not pretty, either. Everything is in-between. I have eyes that aren't green or brown, but a muddle. I'm not thin, but I'm not fat, either. The only thing you could definitely say about me is this: I'm short." To be fair, we learn later that, like most teens, Lena is more harsh on her looks than she should be. That being said, here are our recommendations for Lena (keep in mind casting a petite actress is a tall order in an industry littered with leggy young things):

Unlike Panem's reaping, candidates are fighting to get into the arena for the big screen adaptation of Suzanne Collins' "Hunger Games." In fact, it seems each week a new actress' name is thrown into the mix to play determined heroine Katniss Everdeen.

The early fan favorite for the role was "Skins" actress Kaya Scodelario, who according to a recent report has yet to talk with Lionsgate about the part. "Kick-Ass" star Chloe Moretz was another name bounced around late last year (though many have said she's too young for the role). We've weighed in with our favorites more than once: first "Vampire Diaries" star Malese Jow and "Eclipse" newbie Jodelle Ferland. More recently, up-and-comer Hailee Steinfeld caught our eye with her gripping performance in "True Grit." And we couldn't forget "Winter's Bone" actress (and "Jersey Shore" fan) Jennifer Lawrence and Disney darling Alyson Stoner who recently tweeted her interest. Plus, there's always Emily Blunt (just kidding!).

As a casting announcement inches ever closer, we want to know: Who do you hope represents District 12? Vote in our poll after the jump! And, as always, if we didn't include your favorite, tell us in the comments section.

Malese JowWho should play Katniss? It's a question that's been swooping around the internet like so many Mockingjays. Reports indicate that scripts have gone out to both "Skins" star Kaya Scodelario and "Nikita" actress Lyndsy Fonseca for the part of "The Hunger Games" heroine. And there are always those Chloe Moretz rumors. But if you remember back to the summer, Hollywood Crush suggested a trio of actresses for the part, with top billing going to "Vampire Diaries" star Malese Jow.

Malese read "The Hunger Games" not long after and fell in love with Katniss tweeting, "Reading #HungerGames.. SO good! If they do it up right, the movie will be awesome. If I may.... #MaleseForKatniss!! ;)" Ever since, Malese fans have been clamoring for the 20-year-old to step into the arena. We thought we'd check in with Malese to see if she was any closer to landing a role in the much-anticipated flick.

Malese Jow And Brenda SongThere are so many things to love about the new trailer for "The Social Network," a.k.a. the Facebook movie. There's the song choice (a haunting, choral version of Radiohead's ode to social misfits, "Creep"); there's the minute-long Facebook photo montage depicting the cycle of life; there's the fact that it's the first time we've ever gotten to see any actual footage from the movie; there's the sure-to-be-amazing trio of Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, and Justin Timberlake; and there's the quick glimpse of Hollywood Crush BFF Malese Jow during the second minute.

The movie follows the drama-filled creation of the popular social networking site at Harvard University in 2003. Jesse Eisenberg stars as Mark Zuckerberg, who, this trailer tells us, basically created the site to impress girls and get invited to elite parties.
