It's a tale as old as time, yet one we never tire of. Twenty years after its debut, Disney is re-releasing a 3D version of its classic "Beauty and the Beast," meaning a whole new generation will have "Be Our Guest" stuck in their heads for the next five weeks or so.
To celebrate this momentous occasion, we decided to fawn over a few of our favorite beauties and their beasts. Because little else tugs at the heartstrings as tightly as a pretty person holding an equally adorable animal. There's songstress Taylor Swift and her cuddly kitty, Meredith, (named after a certain dramatic doc on "Grey's Anatomy"), Selena Gomez and her precious puppy, Baylor, (which she adopted with BF Justin Bieber) and Katy Perry and her similarly named feline, Kitty Purry.

Are you ready to "LOL"? The first trailer for Miley Cyrus' 2012 comedy has hit the web, promising, yes, a few chuckles, but also a heaping helping of teen angst when the film debuts later this year.
Miley stars as high-schooler Lola (otherwise known as LOL), who's navigating the awkwardness of adolescence (see: cheating boyfriends, mean girls, etc.) all while contending with her overbearing mother (played by Demi Moore). You don't need to look too long to find the usual teen tropes in this clip—the decor-demolishing house party, the locker-room rant, the glorious getaway to Paris. (Okay, maybe that last one isn't so customary...)

It's no secret that Demi Lovato is back on the Hollywood scene after dropping off the map briefly in late 2010; first there was her hard-to-miss appearance in that dress at the Latin Grammy Awards, and now she's the cover girl for February's Seventeen! But while Demi is clearly happy, healthy and back on track after her time in rehab, she's not afraid of some Real Talk about the rough patch she went through to get here—and in her feature interview, she opens up about just how bad things got and which famous ladies helped her on her way to getting well.
When asked about the problems she faced a year ago, Demi is blunt: "I’m not gonna lie. I was self-medicating. I was doing things like drinking and using [drugs], like a lot of teens do to numb their pain."
And between her substance abuse and confessed struggle with an eating disorder, there's no doubt that she had a lot of work to do before she could fully heal—but now, she says, she's beaten her demons.

With its celebration of ordinary people and extraordinary achievements, the CNN Heroes Tribute was a different kind of red-carpet event than the usual Hollywood affair—but that didn't stop some of our favorite celebs from showing their support at yesterday evening's ceremony! And photographers snapped some great shots when the stars came out last night to support this celebration of people who have dedicated their lives to making a difference.
Miley Cyrus, who showed her support with a performance of her hit song "The Climb," showed up on the arm of Liam Hemsworth (Gale Hawthorne himself!) and was all smiles in a gauzy yellow gown. She later took to Twitter to express her gratitude for the opportunity to participate. "What a glorious night to be apart of. Thank you for having me on your stage @CNN Such an honor."

Miley Cyrus not only beats up "Revenge" star Joshua Bowman and makes everyone laugh in "So Undercover," she also has some really great chemistry with…Jeremy Piven?
The former "Entourage" star spoke to Shockya.com, and he revealed a bit about playing Miley’s sidekick in the FBI-themed comedy. "I never, ever would have thought that I would be playing opposite Miley Cyrus in a movie, ever, but there we are, and we’re quite an unlikely team,” he said. "And I think because of that we had such fun chemistry. I can’t even describe it, it was just weird—we made each other laugh and enjoyed each others' presence."

Miley Cyrus is proving once again that she can't be tamed. (I know, I know, so 2010...)
For her 19th birthday last week, the starlet threw a fete at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel with a number of famous faces in attendance, including friend Kelly Osbourne, who presented the birthday girl with one creative cake. As the sparkler-strewn confection was wheeled out, Miley was caught on tape (obtained by The Daily) saying, "You know you’re a stoner when friends make you a Bob Marley cake—you know you smoke way too much f---in’ weed."
The incident sparked plenty of headlines over the weekend, despite the fact that Kelly tweeted yesterday that the whole thing was a gag. "A JOKE! it makes me sick that @MileyCyrus so called 'friends' would sell her out and lead people 2 believe she is someone that she is not!" she wrote.
Even the most casual Miley observer can tell you that this is just the latest in a line of controversies involving the singing starlet. Let's take a look:

You might not recognize Miley Cyrus on sight in her next major movie role... but if you keep your ears open, you'll know that it's her!
Deadline reports that Miley has just joined the cast of "Hotel Transylvania," next year's fun animated flick about a hotel for archetypal monsters. The actress will give voice to Mavis, fledgling vampire and the on-screen daughter to Adam Sandler's Dracula. (No comment from Miley yet, but we're guessing she'd say that the whole thing is "like, pretty cool.")

If you were to ask us what the two best words to describe Selena Gomez were, "Hot Mess" would not be the first two that came to mind. (Personally, we'd go with "Always Flawless.") But, the word on the street is that Selena is being considered for the lead in a film by that name.
Famed music video director and VMA winner Dave Meyers (who has worked with Britney Spears, Pink, Katy Perry and Jennifer Lopez) is in talks to direct the flick with Selena in talks to star. Deadline reports that starlets are clamoring for the chance to get a role in the film, which centers around four young women who are "desperately trying to avoid becoming the hot messes they are destined to be."

Lucky for us, only Miley Cyrus is going "So Undercover" in her forthcoming action-comedy. "Revenge" star Joshua Bowman will remain plenty recognizable (and cute!) playing her love interest. Not that we're jealous or anything.
The movie revolves around a young woman named Molly who snags a job with the FBI to penetrate a sorority and protect a mobster's daughter. It co-stars Jeremy Piven, Mike O'Malley, Kelly Osbourne and, of course, Joshua.
"I play a guy called Nicholas. He meets Miley's character [at college]. We meet and we're in the same class, and we kind of strike up this interest for each other," the actor explained. "And then she's onto me cause she thinks I'm the bad guy, which I think I could be… but I don’t think I am."

Miley Cyrus and her "So Undercover" co-stars are getting into some serious shenanigans in their upcoming girl-themed comedy. Cast mate Megan Park promised us here at MTV News that the film (slated for an October release) will definitely make you LOL. Wait, isn't that Miley's other movie?
"It’s a sorority movie; it's really funny. It's really good," she dished when we caught up with her while promoting "A Cinderella Story: Once Upon a Song." "I just saw a few little bits of it the other day."
