If you only know Peter Facinelli as flaxen-haired Cullen patriarch Carlisle, prepare to see a whole new (criminal!) side of the actor when his screenwriting debut, "Loosies," opens today. Peter stars in the independent film as Bobby, a pick-pocket who accidentally impregnates a girl during their one-night stand. (What would Esme say?!)
We sat down with Peter to get all the dish on his romance caper but, of course, talk inevitably turned to "The Twilight Saga," whose final installment hits theaters November 16. Though he has yet to see any footage from the highly anticipated release, Peter was more than happy to share a bit about the scope of the grandiose production.

The media blitz for "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" is on like Donkey Kong, and with just one week before the film's world premiere, we can't turn on our TV without seeing a member of the Cullen family talking about the upcoming nuptials between Edward and Bella. Not that we're complaining! Because it's fabulous! And this morning, the Cullen paterfamilias himself made an appearance in New York to talk "Twilight" with Regis and Kelly...or at least, he was pretty sure it was New York.
"Sometimes I wake up and I don't know where I am," Peter Facinelli admitted, as he's spent the past four years filming "Nurse Jackie" and "The Twilight Saga" on opposite coasts. "My jet lag has jet lag."

After weeks of interviews for the upcoming "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1," the cast of this year's new "Twilight" flick are no doubt fatigued by the endless rounds of questions that they have to answer with, like, complete sentences involving actual words. So when we got the group for a visit, MTV News' Josh Horowitz went easy on them with a series of simple yes or no questions.
Or at least, it was supposed to be easy. A few highlights from the clips:
Do Taylor Lautner's friends still call him "Sharkboy"?
Answer: Yep. (But he's never had a pedicure, so, y'know. There's that.)
Did Peter Facinelli once kill a man?
His co-stars respond with a terrified, "NO!"... which means that not only has Peter killed someone, but he's also threatened to kill anyone who revealed the truth. Obviously.

We don't often report on the goings on of super hero movies—that's usually the province of our brother blog Splash Page. But when it involves our favorite sparkly vamps, we obviously have to take note.
In a new video from CollegeHumor, Nikki Reed and Peter Facinelli—clad in matching tight purple get-ups—play Wonder Twins Jayna and Zan, whom, I'm told by resident comic book dude, Josh Wigler, are "real" DC Comics heroes. In a world where Hollywood's run out of A-list superheroes, the duo auditions to fill the well-worn spandex. (Metaphorically, of course. We don't encourage sharing spandex. Diseases and such.) Except, well, their talents aren't all that exciting. Zan can morph into water, and Jayna can turn into any animal, and their display of a turtle in a jar of liquid is lackluster to say the least.

Big-voiced Brit Adele just broke records in the UK (she's now tied with Dido for second fastest-selling album, with two million copies sold in just 87 days), and she's also getting a lot of love on this side of the pond. Everyone from Donald Faison to Abigail Breslin (pictured) was tweeting her praises today. Donald declared Adele's disc the soundtrack to his life, tweeting, "I know I'm late... But ADELE your album is the new sound track to my life. Wonderful! OMG wonderful!!" And Abigail declared Adele's "Someone Like You" her song of the day and professed her love for the album as a whole, saying, "Song of the day: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_Zs7XS3XUo loving Adele's album '21'."
Meanwhile, the cast of "Community" was pretty pumped about tonight's flashback episode. Danny Pudi called the upcoming ep one of the best yet, tweeting, "Tonight's Community (8/7c NBC) is a laughter festival. Easily one of the most fun episodes to read and shoot. Hope you enjoy it!" Co-star Alison Brie didn't think that was quite enthusiastic enough, however, insisting, "Tonight's #NBCCommunity is going to ROCK YOUR SOCKS OFF!! Not knock them off, but straight up ROCK them off. I'm really excited about it."

The terrifying images coming out of Japan, which was devastated on Friday, March 11, when it was hit by an 8.9-magnitude earthquake and then a tsunami, was all the talk of Twitter. Celebrities the world over got on their pages to send their thoughts and condolences to all those who have been displaced or have loved ones who are lost or missing. Many spread the word about how everyone can do their part to help, including actress Nina Dobrev, who told followers, "Cannot believe whats happened in Japan..the footage is surreal and scary. Let's support those families in #Japan."
Some stars were personally affected by the tragedy, including TV host Jimmy Kimmel, who found himself in the midst of the natural disaster, as his vacation in French Polynesia turned terrifying. "Suddenly, relaxing on an island in the South Pacific isn't so relaxing anymore," he wrote. Then, later in the day he alerted fans, "we are evacuating the island." Jimmy's fans took to their Twitter pages to send him the best, including Alyssa Milano who wrote, "@jimmykimmel Please let us know when you're safe, Jimmy. Sending you love."

Happy Birthday, Emma Roberts and Chloe Moretz! Yes, two of Crush's very favorite females celebrate their b-days today, and there was plenty of love for the ladies around the Twitterverse. Emma's "Scream 4" director Wes Craven tweeted, "Happy birthday @robertsemma!" while her pal, "Pretty Little Liars" star Ashley Benson wrote, "Happyyy birthdayy @robertsemma xo." Okay, okay. That headline might be a wee bit misleading. But we're only relaying what Peter Facinelli told us. You see, when we cornered the "Twilight" star at Sunday's Golden Globes and pleaded for some "Breaking Dawn" scoop, Peter had plenty to say about filming the saga's closing moments (Sad! Sniff!), but he also had an unexpected answer as to what fans can expect from director Bill Condon, known for his work on musical films like "Dreamgirls" and "Chicago."
"Lots of dance numbers," Peter said with a laugh. Funny, indeed. Could you picture the story's final showdown re-imagined as a "West Side Story"-esque dance-off? (I bet those Volturi robes would be mad-difficult to bust a move in.)

Over the weekend, Britney Spears (pictured) asked her followers on Twitter, "Who's ready for 1/11/11?" But luckily, impatient fans didn't have to wait one more day to hear her latest single, "Hold It Against Me," as it hit the airwaves Monday morning. The singer tweeted today, "Don't #HOLDITAGAINSTME for coming out early. I couldn't wait any longer. Hope you don't mind....."
While a demo had leaked late last week, Britney fans finally heard the real deal thanks to Ryan Seacrest who bragged, "We got it first!!" and alerted anxious listeners that, "u can listen here: http://on.fb.me/HoldIt or here: http://bit.ly/HoldIt2." Elsewhere on the radio dial, Carson Daly promised, "I'll play new @britneyspears 'Hold It Against Me' every hour this am." The song already gained some famous fans, including actor Colton Haynes who wrote, "@britneyspears #holditagainstme is a smash hit. Congrats."
