Last night, the stars of the month (or should it be year by now?), the cast of "New Moon," took their place in the New York City spotlight by attending the Cinema Society and D&G screening of the movie at the Landmark Sunshine Theater. It was originally supposed to be a "secret" event (is there really such a thing with the "Twilight" franchise anymore?), but plenty of faces from Manhattan's "elite" circles (um, hi, Ivanka Trump) were still there to support the Saga.

Just looking at the photos above (and the ones from the rest of the evening), it seems as though Kristen Stewart was somehow left off the memo that instructed attendees to "please only wear black or shades of cream tonight." Though she did show up to the carpet in a black Burberry trench coat, she eventually took it off to reveal an olive green Valentino dress. We adore the silhouette and the girly frills, but we're not super keen on the color for the actress, who looks a little washed out in it (her eyes, however, look stunning). As for Kristen's boys, both Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner chose sleek black Dolce & Gabbana suits, with Rob's, of course, sans tie and unbuttoned at the top.

If there's one place vampires, werewolves and humans can co-exist peacefully, it's surely the red carpet. Love triangles, team alliances and centuries-old pacts were put aside last night to celebrate the long-awaited premiere of "New Moon" at LA's Westwood village theater. (Did you read our live blog throughout the night?) Though fans lined up for hours to get a glimpse of their favorite "Twilight" stars, we've got a fashion rundown you can enjoy in the comfort of your own home—sans earplugs.

A lot has changed for the Saga's stars since last year's premiere, including their wardrobe. Kristen Stewart eschewed her mini-dress of yore, opting instead for a floor-grazing, gray-stitched gown by Oscar De La Renta. But in signature Kristen-fashion she funked it up by adding a few bangles, smokey eyes and a messy, half up-do. Kristen's onscreen love Robert Pattinson looked every inch the movie star in a black Gucci suit, with a soft yet still-slightly tousled haircut and his token stubble.

As we count down to "New Moon" finally hitting theaters (four days to go....well...three if you're planning on hitting up a midnight show like us) the stars of the "Twilight" series are gearing up for tonight's big Los Angeles premiere (we'll be live blogging, so check back with us at 8pm EST!) While Alex Meraz heads into tonight's festivities relaxed and ready, explaining, "Just getting outta the shower about to eat my WHEATIES I'm gonna need it today." Peter Facinelli opted to take a more stressful approach, tweeting, "Many people wonder what celebs do the morning of their movie premiere. I would like know 2, seeing how I'm at the DMV renewing my license." "Aliens in the Attic" star Carter Jenkins might not be a Cullen or a wolfpack member, but he still gets to party at tonight's big event, bragging, "Goodbye concrete jungle. Headed home. Then going to the New Moon premiere tonight."

While the eyes of Hollywood fix themselves on today's impending hysteria, there was still plenty going on around the Twitterverse. Just ask the Jonas Brothers, who reached a Twitter benchmark today, announcing, "Thanks to all of our incredible fans, we now have over 1 Million followers on Twitter! You all rock!!!- JB." And, it may not be an official holiday, "The Office" star Rainn Wilson declared, "Today I dedicate to Lady Gaga." Things feeling a little bit on the eerie side today? Well, in case you forgot today was Friday the 13th, celebs took to their Twitters to remind you about the doom-filled day. "New Moon" wolfpack girl Tinsel Korey tweeted, "it's Friday the 13th....creepy! " and "The Hills" star Lo Bosworth wrote a similar, " friday the 13th...sPooOoOoOky." Of course, leave it to "Vampire Diaries" spooky storyteller Kevin Williamson, to remind us about the man who made this day so terrifying, Jason Voorhees, tweeting, "Just realized it was "Kill, kill, kill, kill..." day. " We'd be mad at Kevin for reminding us about that, but last night's "VD" was great, so, Kev, we'll let that one slide.

While some stars use Twitter to freak us out, others use it as a tool to share good news. Hollywood's go-to man Ryan Seacrest shared how he found out about why David Beckham might start to look more and more like Brad Pitt (pictured right with David). Ryan posted, "David Beckham just called...i asked why he grew the beard...he said 'I saw Brad Pitt & thought he looked really good'" Bearded or not, we'll take either version of both guys! But, Seacrest wasn't the only one bringing good news, "New Moon" star Peter Facinelli made Michigan's fans' day by letting them know, "Going 2 b at Frenchtown Square Mall in Monroe,Michigan tomorrow Nov14 signing autographs. noon -5. 2121 north Monroe street. Come visit"

Seriously, we weren't kidding earlier when we said we can't keep up with all the delectable photos coming our way! Moments ago we received a brand new crop of "New Moon" photos from Summit, and while we can't help but think, "Uh, are there actually moments we haven't yet seen?" (you know, with all the stills previously released before these), we were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves digging into a ton of new goodies.

For instance: The Cullen clan looking quite pretty (especially Esme)! Bella's school buddies paling around! The Wolf Pack .... with shirts on! (OK fine, that last one didn't really deserve the exclamation point, but still...) Chris Weitz peeking into a video camera! Oh my!

With the whirl of TV spots, trailers, screen shots and scenes that Summit Entertainment has been releasing to promote "New Moon" (released in three weeks!), it's surprising we haven't seen the entire movie already. But Summit is taking the smart approach and, instead of releasing an actual new scene, they instead release an extended segment of something shown in a trailer. It's smart because not only does it whet our appetite, but the viewer still knows they have something to look forward to when the movie hits theaters.

Tonight's Ulalume Festival clip (see it after the jump!) was no different, showing Bella's birthday party before she gets her infamous paper cut. It's the first time we've gotten a good look at the Cullens since the first teaser, which also showed clips from the birthday party. This MTV exclusive clip gave us the chance to actually hear some interplay between our favorite vampire family.

"The Twilight Saga" has spawned hundreds of different merchandise that you can find anywhere from Hot Topic to Borders to Nordstrom. When MTV got a chance to sit down with the cast to promote our exclusive clip (debuting tomorrow night on MTV during the Ulalume Festival at 9pm ET/PT!), they asked the cast the pressing question of whether or not they own any of their own merchandise.

"I do not," admitted Jackson Rathbone, "however my bandmate Ben Graupner actually bought a Jasper pillowcase with my face on it and I had to ritualistically burn it because it was scaring me."

For many of you, the weekend is still going (lucky!) with the holiday, but as we all know, Twitter never takes a day off. Especially not when there's big news buzzing around. Vanessa Hudgens dropped in to tell fans two pieces of, admittedly, some not-so-great news. First, she broke it to us that, "Zac doesn't have a twitter account, i'm sorry guys. xoxo" and then, "To everyone curious! Of course, if you're a baseball fan (especially of the Yankees or Phillies) you have nothing to be bummed out about today. "That 70's Show" star Danny Masterson cheered, "Yankees win....daaaaaaaaaa yankees win!" while "Cougar Town" hottie Nick Zano joked about A-Rod and his main squeeze, "Dear Kate Hudson since you are helping the Yanks wondering if you're around Miami? Dolphins play tonight and we could really use a win." A little south of NYC, The Roots and "Late Night" drummer ?uestlove cheered on his team's victory, tweeting, "who hoo!!!!!!! phillies!"

While the Twitterverse was buzzing today with President Obama's Nobel
Peace Prize and NASA's big plans for the Moon, celebs took a moment to honor someone from the past. Today marks what would have been John Lennon's 69th birthday. "Glee" star Dianna Agron posted, "happy bday John Lennon!! imagine all the people...living life in peace" and the original Tracy Turnblad, Ricki Lake also tweeted, "Happy Birthday John Lennon." So, in honor of John Lennon, we suggest you play a little extra Beatles Rock Band tonight.

Elsewhere, Peter Facinelli informed fans that there was no sign of things slowing down on the set of "Eclipse." Daddy Cullen tweeted, "Fast at work. Literally. Running through the woods all day today." It seems the same can't be sad for funnyman and "My Boys" star Jim Gaffigan who pondered, "Is it wrong that I don't want to 'Run this town' tonight? Too much responsiblty. Sounds hard. Jay Z can I just jog this town?"
