From Sarah Jessica Parker to Aretha Franklin (as Questlove tweeted to her, "#HappyBdayAreatha she is the Queen PERIOD") today was chock-full of celebrity birthdays. Among the many stars celebrating their March 25th births was Katherine McPhee, who received plenty of Twitter love, including from actress Ashley Madekwe, who posted, "@katharinemcphee Happy Birthday lovely! xo." Katherine, who turned 27 today, wrote, "Thk u to everyone makin me feel real special! Love birthdays! & Love u all!" There was also some b-day love for Aly Michalka, including a tweet from her sis AJ Michalka, who told her, "Happy 22nd Birthday to my unbelievable sister...I could not love you more Aly..."
In addition to all these, there's also a "Twilight"-related birthday today! Kiowa Gordon, or as he's better known to Twi-hards, Embry Call, turned 21 and got a whole lot of well-wishes on the social networking site. It seems Kiowa (pictured) and his co-star Tinsel Korey were taking the wolf pack to Las Vegas for some celebrations, when she shared, "Happy 21st Birthday Precious!!! @Circakigordon See you tomorrow!!! #KGTKVegas2011BdayWknd." Here's hoping they run into "The Hangover" wolf pack!

We're but two days away from the most fun holiday of the year...Halloween! The stars are just as excited about October 31st as we are, including "One Tree Hill" actor Austin Nichols who shared his scary good pumpkin carving skills with followers, "This is my pumpkin for Halloween. Very Proud. http://twitpic.com/31v9y2." Meanwhile, Jessica Alba (pictured) took a cue from us here at HC and talked about the movies which gave her the biggest fright, "these r sum of my fav 80s horror flicks-Hellraiser,A Nightmare on Elm Street,The Lost Boys,It,Pet Sematary& Cujo 2 name a few #80flicksrock."
Of course, in addition to the treats on Halloween, there are always some tricksters, so it's fitting that Jimmy Fallon and his "Late Night" bandleader Questlove stopped by the dare-you-not-to-scream "Silent Library" set! The Roots drummer tweeted, "Why'd I let @jimmyfallon talk me into shooting silent library 6am?" while Jimmy posted, "Me & the Roots just shot an ep of MTV's Silent Library. Owen had to get licked. http://twitpic.com/31ws4p."

What did Jude Law (pictured), Scarlett Johansson and Denzel Washington all have in common today? They received Tony nods for their work on Broadway! Yes, the noms were announced today and tweeting stars (of stage and beyond) all congratulated the celebrated shows and actors. Kristin Chenoweth may not have nagged a nom for her current work in "Promises, Promises," but she gave kudos to her costars, posting, "Yay! Katie Finneran and Sean Hayes got Tony Nominations from Promises Promises this am! So happy!" Elsewhere, drummer Questlove was happy to see the musical "Fela!," a show produced by Jay-Z, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith lead the pack, posting, "2 years ago @FelaMusical changed my life. 20 views and now 11 @tonyawards noms (leading the pack!) it will change more lives."
The Tony's weren't the only thing being celebrated around the Twitterverse, as May 4th marks "Star Wars" Day! Joe Jonas put down his light saber to tweet, "Happy Star Wars day! So cool!" while "My Life As Liz" star Liz Lee couldn't pay homage quite the way she wanted, posting to followers in a galaxy far, far away, "May the fourth be w/ everyone on this glorious day of @starwars. The whole world will be tuning in tonight for MTV's "Hope For Haiti Now: A Global Benefit For Earthquake Relief" (which is airing across a number of networks) and with good reason. The telethon, which has come together thanks to George Clooney (pictured), will feature a bevy of top celebrities and musical acts all uniting to help raise money for the devastation in Haiti (we urge you to tune in and help in any way you can). "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" drummer Questlove posted a picture from the set, joined by fellow celeb volunteers Sting and Jennifer Hudson: "http://twitpic.com/z7z9v - On the telethon set waiting for Sting & J Hud." Today marks a somber anniversary in rock history, as it was 29 years ago that John Lennon was shot and killed. The legendary musician's body of work and life still resonates with many of today's artists. "The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien" and The Roots drummer Questlove talked about the impact of John Lennon's death on him, tweeting, "29 yrs ago My 5th grade art teacher tried to explain Lennon's impact in tears. next day she brought Revolver to school:hooked for life." Lennon clearly inspired every genre of musicians, including up-and-comer Savannah Outen who paid homage to the late, great Beatles (and solo) rocker, posting, "RIP John Lennon. 12/08/80. "A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality."
The outpouring of love for John Lennon wasn't the only big trending topic today amongst Hollywood tweeters. The news that CBS was canceling the long-running soap "As The World Turns," upset rival soap "One Life to Live" actress Bree Williamson, who wrote, "I am super bummed about As the World Turns....... boo." But, it was an unlikely celebrity pairing that generated a lot of buzz when Elisabeth Hasselbeck had her Twitter taken over. Posted on the TV personality's Twitter page: "Hey this is Adam Lambert!!! Elizabeth is lettin me tweet from her phone!!! Me and Liz! Whaaat? :)" Elisabeth (pictured) and Adam Lambert weren't the only odd couple today, read the rest of today's tweets below to see what Justin Bieber and Rihanna were up to!
