For those of you who have seen "New Moon" already (and I'm assuming that's most of you out there), you'll know Rachelle Lefevre's Victoria gets a lot more screen time in the film than she does in the book. MTV got a chance to sit down with "The Twilight Saga" screenplay scribe Melissa Rosenberg and ask her about the decision to have a visual instead of just aural Victoria.

"Movies are such a visual medium," said Melissa. "To just be talking about Victoria, or to be hearing about her, isn't visceral enough. You have to actually see her and see the threat that she is; I wanted to keep her alive throughout, so that you knew that the danger to Bella was alive. I also had so much fun writing for her there are a couple of action moments in the middle of the movie that are really fun, and I really wanted to have her in there. It also keeps the pacing of the movie, to see her and to have those conflicts."

The winds of change are in the air. That is, at least, if you live in LA. The stars who live in LaLa land were all gushing over the Southern California gusts today, including Nicky Hilton, who announced, "The Santa Ana winds are in full effect!" While some loved it — like Hunter Parrish who tweeted, "LOVE THE WIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and Holly Montag, who wrote, "The wind today is so nice! You can really feel that fall electricity in the air" — others like Aly Michalka could have done without them. She complained, "Uh oh...this is not good filming weather."

But the winds aren't the only thing bringing disruption into people's lives, just ask Roxy Olin! Roxy told followers about tonight's episode of "The City," "boys and lots of Drama tonight!!!!!" We're guessing that boy is the one Whitney Port was tweeting about, "So nervous for tonight's episode! Jay is back! I'll be watching it right along with all of you!!"

While you're waiting to see what kind of drama rolls in on "The City" you can add us @hollywoodcrush and check out the rest of today's best tweets, including Rachelle Lefevre's (pictured) thoughts on "Where The Wild Things Are" and some romance on "The Vampire Diaries" set!

This newest clip TV spot from Fandango (see it after the jump!) for "New Moon" brings a whole new level of intensity to the film. Focusing almost solely on the fight between Edward and Jacob over Bella, the clips shown seem for the most part to be brand new.

First and foremost, check out how intense wolf Jacob is! One of the things I have been hoping since the first teaser trailer was released was that Chris Weitz would change transformed Jacob from cute and cuddly to intense and badass (after fan backlash on CGI in other films like "Iron Man" the animation department has made alterations that were significant improvements) and Chris totally stepped up to the challenge. I no longer see "The Golden Compass" every time a wolf comes on screen, so kudos.

In their own words, this was not a tough assignment. Self magazine got "New Moon" stars Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene and Rachelle Lefevre together in Malibu for a magazine shoot of popular fall trends.

Your first response might be: we want Kristen, Rob and Taylor! Well you're in luck, because they are in about just about every other magazine right now (we're not kidding!). We like the refreshing look at our other "New Moon" faves. Your second response: Fall trends modeled in Malibu? Yeah, we haven't figured that out either.

According to the mag, the inclusion of Kellan in the photo shoot marks the first male within the pages of Self in a very long time. We guess he wouldn't be the expert of sharing female fashion tips like Rachelle and Ashley do in this behind-the-scenes video, but he's so gosh-darn nice to look at we just don't care.

Thank you, Hot Topic, for giving us everything we never needed for "New Moon": an umbrella with Edwards face covering it, a t-shirt with Jacobs six pack to make up for our own lack thereof, split-moon friendship necklaces, and a shirt that makes us want to take out a restraining order (yes, we are referencing the t-shirt pictured).

All (kind of) joking aside, there is some stuff from Hot Topics new New Moon licensed gear collection that we find to be pretty interesting. Check out our top five picks after the jump!

We are on vampire overload since we've been closely following "Twilight Fashion Week" , and now we just caught word that Ashley Greene is a cover girl for her first time on the October issue of Saturday Night Magazine. Ashley looks stunning in blue and talks about everything from her take on "New Moon" to workouts with her vampire costars.

Ashley admits that when she auditioned for "Twilight" she was bummed when she didn't get the role of Bella, but now understands why she fits as the perfect Alice. “I originally auditioned for Bella, and so I read the first book and kind of fell in love with it," she said. "I went in and auditioned and actually they called me back in and said, ‘No, you’re not right for Bella,’ so I was bummed, and then they brought me back for Alice. I worked more on it — that was all I did for a couple of days before I went in. I came in probably like five times before I actually got the role — and then I went home for Christmas and literally just had to wait and wait. I thought that I didn’t get it again, and then I got the call that I was Alice and I freaked out and called my dad and mom.”

"90210" actress Jennie Garth is married to "Twilight" star Peter Facinelli, which means she gets to have pillow talk with her hubby that includes just who his hunky costar Robert Pattinson is dating.

Is it Kristen Stewart? Is it Nikki Reed? Is it Rachelle LeFevre (Jennie didn't say if the mystery person was a current costar)? Is it Kellan Lutz? (Hey, he's recently back on the market after all). We know can't be Ashley Greene — since she's apparently seeing "Gossip Girl" star Chace Crawford. Whoever it is, Kelly Taylor isn't spilling the love beans, except that RPatzz has the hots for someone on set. Read more...

BDH File this piece of news under things that make you go hmmmm: it seems thatBryce Dallas Howard was approached to star in the "Twilight Saga" long before she was brought on to replace Rachelle Lefevre as the villanious vampire Victoria in "Eclipse."

Last night at the Teen Choice Awards, "Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke spoke out to Just Jared about the controversial switcharoo and spilled an interesting fact: "I know we originally asked Bryce Dallas Howard to do the first movie but she thought it was too small a part at that time." We can only imagine how many vats of ghostly white powder makeup artists blazed through on the set of "New Moon" to transform otherwise radiant stars like Ashley Greene and Nikki Reed into undead bloodsuckers. So it must have come as a welcome change for the gals, including fellow vamps Rachelle Lefevre and Noot Seear, to be made up looking a little more ... lifelike. The awesome foursome took to the pages of Glamour to reveal some seriously stunning looks and a few secrets from the sequel's set. Read more...

Even though the premiere of "Twilight" sequel "New Moon" is still 107 days away, it's never too early to start the countdown to the third installment "Eclipse," right? Well, now you can mark the fateful date (June 30 to be exact) in your very own 2010 "New Moon" calendar, which is available for order on Borders.com today.

The comely Cullen coven cover the 12" x 12" calendar, which retails for $17 (you can also get your self a nifty locker-sized version for two dollars cheaper). Inside, the cast strikes Tyra-worthy poses (and smile with their eyes!), some of which may look familiar as they've been previously released as official "New Moon" art but alas they are just part of this datebook. Here's how the year shakes out (you know, in case you want to plan an important event during a Jacob-sanctioned month): Read more...
