Sean FarisHere's one role you can scratch off of Hollywood's Most Wanted List: The part of infamous outlaw Clyde Barrow in "The Story of Bonnie and Clyde" has been filled by one-time "Vampire Diaries" actor Sean Faris, Variety reports.

The 29-year-old will star opposite "True Blood" actress Lindsay Pulsipher, who landed the role of Bonnie Parker back in September. According to the report, the indie film "aims to explore many aspects of the lives of the Depression-era bank robbers that have never been seen on the big screen before."

Sean Faris may no longer be stalking the woods of Mystic Falls on the "Vampire Diaries," but that doesn't mean his dance with The CW is over. The 27-year-old actor has just been cast as the lead in the series "The Wyoming Project," penned by "Gilmore Girls" writer Amy Sherman-Palladino. We're betting execs saw his hot, hot Men's Health cover and knew they couldn't let the star flee too far.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the drama centers around Sean's character Gideon Thorpe, "a horse trainer who becomes the patriarch of a Wyoming ranch responsible for his three younger sisters after their parents die."

The tomb had to be opened sometime. But did "The Vampire Diaries" have to go ahead and wrap up one of their main storylines so soon? Much to my delight, this show has had very few filler episodes (the pilot is probably the weakest episode of the season, to be honest). So I can't imagine where it's going to take us now that it's been revealed that Katherine isn't actually trapped in the old tomb with all the other 1860s-era Mystic Falls vampires. Bless Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson, though, for leaving the options WIDE OPEN when one of the decrepit imprisoned vampires managed to lap up some of the blood Damon angrily threw against the wall and gain enough strength to walk out the damn door. He was supposed to be sealed inside!

Getting back to the beginning of the episode, Bonnie and Elena wound up trapped in a hotel room with only newly turned vampire Ben to guard them. After Anna left to get her hands on the Grimoire, Stefan managed to track down the ladies via a locator spell from Bonnie's Grams ("Dawson's Creek" flashback alert!). He then threatened to kill Ben, and damn if that man did not mean exactly what he said. If I were Ben, I would've done what Stefan told me. He's sexy when he's angry.

"The Vampire Diaries" is such a fickle mistress. Just when you think something's finally going to get resolved, five more things pop up to confuse you. So I shouldn't have been surprised when last night's episode, which answered so many of the questions I had about the previous week's revealing installment, raised about a gajillion more. Damn you, Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson and your evil ways. Teaching us more about the mysterious Anna and showing us more of historic human Damon's non-evil side, only to raise more questions about Anna's origins and bring us right back to present-day vengeful Damon.

The most entertaining part of last night's episode was definitely the flashbacks to Katherine getting her sexually aggressive vampire on with the young, still-human Salvatore brothers. I know she was an evil vampire and all, but it's nice to see such an assertive female in a time when women weren't viewed as, you know, actual people (even if she wasn't actually human). But the most important thing we learned from the flashbacks is that the townspeople captured Katherine and her partner in crime, Pearl, the town's apothecary — who also happens to be Anna's mother. So that's why Anna's on a quest to open the vault. One question answered, another raised: if Pearl was a vampire, how did she have a child? And when did Anna turn into a vampire?

After my chat with "The Vampire Diaries" cutie Steven McQueen last week, I was all happy for his troubled young fella of a character, Jeremy, to score a nice, drama-free young lady friend to pal around with as he began to get over his ex's disappearance from Mystic Falls. And I thought he'd found her in Anna, the home-schooled bookworm who helped Jeremy with his extra-credit history essay in last week's episode. But, obviously, I had forgotten that this is "Vampire Diaries," and no one is the person they initially appear to be. New history teacher? Also a vampire hunter. Elena Gilbert? Also probably a Pierce, and maybe new history teacher's stepdaughter (more on that later). New bartender? Also a vampire. New pizza delivery boy? Also a vampire. New love interest for Jeremy? Also a freakin' vampire! Hey, I'm sensing a pattern here...

Turns out the Salvatore brothers weren't the only vampires creeping around Mystic Falls, trying to figure out how to free Katherine and the other the undead folks trapped in the tomb. The three new vampires, Noah (mysterious black hoodie dude), Anna (bookworm home-school girl), and Ben (hot Mystic Grill bartender), were on the hunt for the Gilbert family diary. But instead of sticking to the plan, like Anna and Ben, Noah decided to screw around with Elena and he paid dearly for it. Like, with his life, after Stefan and Damon tortured him into telling them what he was doing in Mystic Falls. Since he had already tricked his way into getting permission to enter the Gilbert home, the Salvatores killed him. He didn't give up his partners in crime, though, so Anna and Ben continued to roam the mean streets of Mystic Falls. Poor Jeremy — Anna and Ben also happen to be extra-special friends (the kissing kind). When will this kid catch a break?!

He hasn't even worked his first shift as Mystic Falls' hunky new bartender, but "Reunion" star Sean Faris has already landed himself a spot on the cover of Men's Health touting his new role and his killer physique.

Sean's multi-episode arc begins Jan. 21 with the first "Vampire Diaries" episode after the holiday hiatus. As we reported earlier, Sean plays an ex-footballer-turned-bartender who may be romancing one of the series' lovely ladies. No word yet on whether he flashes his six pack to woo that special girl, but the 27-year-old did spill to the mag about how he got his body in tip-top shape—words of wisdom us ladies can live by too.

Just when you thought the "Vampire Diaries" cast couldn't get any hotter, the CW series has brought on "Reunion" star Sean Faris (pictured) for a "multi-episode arc," according to EW.com. With "Legally Blonde" hunk Matthew Davis playing new history teacher Alaric Saltzman (great name) this week, we'll have some delicious new eye candy for many episodes to come. As Crush editor Lindsay Soll so aptly put it, "It's turning into an Abercrombie catalog on that set!"

Sean, whose character's name is Ben, will befriend the Mystic Falls High gang when Matt (Zach Roerig) starts working at the Grill, where Ben is a bartender. The EW article also notes that Ben is an ex-high school football star who will possibly romance one of the Mystic High ladies, which makes me think he'd be perfect for Caroline (Candice Accola) — she goes for the slightly cocky older men (ahem, Damon). Then again, I wouldn't mind a little romantic interest for Bonnie (Katerina Graham). So far she's had to sit on the sidelines while all her friends make out with cute boys. It's just not fair.
