We've been following the progress of "Pretty Little Liars" star Lucy Hale's country album for more than a year now—though the actress has had musical aspirations since she was a teen. (Remember her appearance on "American Juniors"?) And as she puts the finishing touches on her debut, Lucy recently opened up in the October issue of Self about her apprehension regarding the release and the one thing she'd like to change about herself.
"I'm scared as hell," Lucy admitted to the magazine. "Some days I go to sleep and I'm like, What am I doing? People aren't going to take me seriously. Music is my favorite thing, and I'm going to fight to make it happen."
To be filed under Things We Never Knew About Shay Mitchell: She wears all pink for workouts, she finds inspiration in the little things and she's got a whole lot more room in her teeny-tiny stomach than you'd know just to look at her. Intrigued? Well, get ready: These are just a few of the mind-blowing secrets (okay, not really, but they're still fun!) revealed in the "Pretty Little Liars" actress' latest interview in Self, where she graces the June issue cover. She opened up to the magazine about how she lives healthy, how she loves her co-stars and what she'll do if she needs to look her best in a hurry.
That said, the funnest takeaway from Shay's interview is the part where she enumerates her less-healthy habits: "I can't say no to pizza! I'll 100 percent eat a whole pie by myself," she admitted. "If I do, I just move on. No guilt."
If there's one thing we learned about "Vampire Diaries" star Nina Dobrev from reading her just-released cover story in November's Self magazine, it's that girl leads a surprisingly balanced life. Between shooting her hit CW series, fostering a burgeoning film career and getting in snuggle time with co-star sweetheart Ian Somerhalder, Nina manages to keep her body—and mind—sound. Her secret?
"I want to keep growing, so I make vision boards that say things like, 'Learn. Excel. Succeed,'" Nina told the magazine. "Using my imagination, spelling out what I want to achieve and creating a reminder of those things helps me move forward."

In the words of Anna Paquin herself, vampires are “sexy, dangerous, and good-looking” and that’s why it was no surprise that in the HBO hit “True Blood” her character, Sookie, fell for the handsome vampire, Bill Compton, played by Stephen Moyer.
But the romance doesn’t stop there for these two as the co-stars got engaged last summer. The usually private actress opens up in about her personal life, including filming those infamous nude scenes, going blonde, and her relationship with Stephen, in July’s issue of Self Magazine.

With a career as successful as Carrie Underwood’s, it can be hard to stay grounded, especially at 26-years-old. But with 11 number one hits and four Grammys under her belt, this blonde beauty is surprisingly down-to-earth. Carrie opened up to Self magazine this month about her surefire tricks to looking like the most gorgeous girl on the block (or, in her case, the industry), but remaining the “girl next door” at heart.
So, how does Miss Underwood stay so beautiful? She divulges her healthy eating and workout tips, which include paying attention to calorie consumption, and “eating clean.” Carrie admits to keeping a food diary where she logs everything she eats in order to analyze what she’s actually consuming each day. And as for her healthy glow? She credits her beautiful skin to loads of water, giving up sweets and soda, and cutting the grease from her diet.
